First thing that jumped out was wow I can get nearly a TD at home with a 9-3 club?  Miami doesn't really travel well, heck their fans don't even go to home games but the perception is there.  This feels like a sucker bet when I saw the current line but lets get into a bit.

Miami makes big plays and has weapons all over the field at the WR position even without Duke.  My problem is Morris, he's not as good as his numbers suggest.  How he's at nearly 60% completion rate I don't know how.  He's not that accurate.  What's weird about this offense as explosive as they are they have a high % in 3 and outs and turnovers (21), that's not going to fly tonight against this top notch defense.

Cards defense is top five in every major defensive category.  Last two times the Canes have faced a top 5 defense they got killed in both games against FSU and Tech.

Canes biggest problem will be on defense.  They don't have one match up in their favor on the entire field.  How are they going to stop the Cards?  Maybe most of you think Cards offense is slow and methodical and that's true but they'll have no problems scoring what I believe will be in the mid 30's.  They are banged up with some injuries but shouldn't matter much in what is a bad bad defense.

Say what you want but the Cards are a sound play smart fundamental football.  Maybe the Canes stick around for a half but the better team will take over and the Canes only have so many tricks up their sleeve to even keep this close and will have to play a perfect game.  Sometimes the other team is just too good.

The pick..

Cardinals -6

Confused here.

Cards D numbers are good. But who have they played?

Cincy getting dominated by UNC.

Is this a repeat?

165, this was the exact capper angle I was looking for.  Yes, it's true that teams with low turnover margins (such as Miami, #59 BCS) is not going to change any in this bowl game.  They may even fumble the ball in their own redzone.  This is going to be a scary game if Miami doesn't come out firing efficiently in the first half.

I'm on Miami +5.5, Miami ML, and Under 59.5.

The ACC is better than people think.

Best of luck.

Wussie I don't care if you play a Pop Warner team the numbers don't lie.  You want to take 6 with that defense good luck with that.  They have no shot of stopping the Cards passing attack.

I heard the same thing last year when the played Florida and pasted them.

Canes are frauds and so is their qb.

DickyR every team has games they struggle or don't show up.

Daran I have about 20 questions for the Canes tonight.  Too many to justify a play on them.  Don't even think this will be close by the end of the third quarter.

Miami -9.5 vs n.carolina on 10/17/2013
louisville -3 vs cincinnati on 12/05/2013

It would matter if Louisville is playing against an SEC or a PAC12 team.  This is an AAC vs a ACC team.  The trend here isn't favoring a jump on ACC teams.  In fact, the AAC (BIG EAST) covered 55% ATS of their last 5 years of bowls, while the ACC only covered 48%.  Only as dogs should you fade the BIG EAST/AAC.  The Big East as 6+ dog = 4-15 last 5 years.

Duke Johnson being out for canes certainly is not a good thing for Canes backers

Ribeye stop you're making too much sense.  The current line is really all you need to know.  Home game and getting 6 against a team that everyone disrespects.  Only the oddsmakers and bookmakers respect what's going to happen tonight.

Pro I don't post numbers that are not available at the moment.  Don't think it's fair.  I posted UNC -3 but got a much better number.
