Don't understand the love for Fresno in this game.  The speed and strength of USC will rip Fresno's apart.  Fresno has been playing against subpar competition and USC ain't no subpar competition that's for sure. Even if Kiffin is still coaching, USC would still beat Fresno by at least 2 TDs.

I can`t play a team that`s had three coaches in one season just don`t see the guys getting up for this new coach just yet, sure the other coaches will do most of the coaching but how good of a job will they do they know they don`t have a job next year.

FRESNO ST. +6-

I agree.  Some coaching changes aren't as big a concern as others.  I see this one as a big deal for USC.  The team is bummed that Oregron is not coaching and I don't see them being focused or prepared.

USC had one of the top passing D's in the Pac 12 and while I give the athletic edge to the Trojans, I'll take Fresno and bank on them being more focused and prepared.  Good luck.

USC has demonstrated time after time motivation problems directly wiht coaching.  See this game being a shootout therfore I'll take the points for the smal

On no VUE on the Trojans!!!!!   ugggghhhh     and a PRIME PLAY    double uggghhhh

I just don't like those guys with the coaching carousel.   Coupled with those kids in a VEGAS Bowl.   I can tell you they will be up late.  Sneaking out for the lights, prostitutes in the hotel, etc...    It happens.

Fresno St doesn't show up for bowl games (0-4 ATS) and uSC does (5-2 ATS). Fresno St has no defense and USC does. USC plays well no matter who's coaching as long as it isn't Kiffin

USC -5.5 and maybe under if it goes up some more

USC is so accustomed to playing in a BIG bowl game on Jan. 1……..they will not be jacked up to play in this peanut bowl game… I've been betting football for 56 years and you see this every year, a big name college team gets a bid to a nothing game and stinks the place up. Fresno will cover easily and most likely win outright. The coaching issue just exacerbates things, but the main thing here is an unmotivated USC team. I would lean to the under also, as I'm not sure USC will score much………..THE Myth

I agree also. SC is too much of a mess right now. Undeniable talent, but we all should know that's only about half the battle. I think this one will be a back and forth shootout. The best play here is the Over.

On paper, Fresno looks much better offensively but if you've followed their games like I did, you'll see that the teams they played are horrible.  Also, their defense gives up points easily.  USC should cover by at least 10

USC -6 Easy

Here's something to chew on. Spoke to a couple of big defensive guys for Fresno and asked them what happened against San Jose. They said they should have won and would have got a better bowl game to play in, but their one DB kept getting torched by the San Jose QB. Who was it ?? Wished I could view the replay of that game and see who the dumb DB was that kept getting burnt with TD passes. The Fresno team is staying at the Hardrock hotel witch is right across the street from UNLV yet off the strip. But the USC boys are staying at Mandalay Bay. Hmmmm. You don't think the SC boys are easily walking the Strip and having fun cruising the nights away ?  Money will be on Fresno St plus the ML.

Not sure i agree. Been to Vegas many times and the walk from Hard Rock to the strip is a much easier walk than Mandalay. MB is on LV blvd. But not sure any of those logistics really matter. If you're there to play football or if you're there to play hookers, alcohol, and casinos...that is the question. My guess is the USC boys are going to be the bigger violators (they are the University of Spoiled Children). Just a guess. I think a bigger deal is the SC players are still pissed off that coach O is no longer there. They would run through walls for that guy. Also just read a report (10 hours ago) that new coach Steve Sarkisian is taking heat for a recruiting violation by one of his assistants at WAS. Might not be that big, but surely doesn't help. Not to also mention that SC is not thrilled to be playing on the first day of bowl games, some of the absolute worst. I think Fresno is happy to be there even though they also had much higher aspirations. Fresno is much more stable, much more grateful, healthier...Fresno and the over....small.

Got to watch Fresno vs San Jose on Youtube. Checkout the 12.20 & 3.28 minute videos and see who gets burnt over and over again. #7 DB bites on the pump fakes by Fales and #28 is totally lost and can't tackle for beans. I'm sure USC has studied this game film and will be throwing the ball all day long. I'm going wayyyyyy over on this game. I can see why USC is a -6 favorite.

This is a scary game for the Trojans, no doubt. The Pac-12 has been dominant over the Mountain West. But Fresno State's motivation is to show that it isn't just another Mountain West team. Obviously, Derek Carr and Davante Adams are a significant threat. But the Trojans had the top pass defense in the conference. They've yielded only 18 touchdowns through the air, and quarterbacks are completing just 57.3 percent of their throws against the USC secondary, which has 16 picks. Plus, I doubt Fresno State has seen a pass rush like USC's. USC is on its third head coach this season, with former offensive coordinator Clay Helton, the second interim coach, replaced the incredibly popular Ed Orgeron. The Trojans clearly were unhappy that Coach O is no longer around. Fresno State is very good on offense, with Carr particularly adept at getting rid of the ball quickly. Further, the Trojans' offensive line will be without two starters, including first-team All-Pac-12 center Marcus Martin. Finally, I can't get the dismal 2012 Sun Bowl out of my head. Motivation factor definitely in Bulldogs favor. Fresno +6 and under. GLTA. Happy Bowling!Salty

An over rated team versus a pissed off team. I think USC will just go out and play football and cover. Do you think Carr will have time to throw? I don't. UCLA is a whole lot better than this Fresno State team. They won because they are better than USC. USC will win because they are better than Fresno ST. All this drama stuff, give the players some credit, once they get out on that field they are going to go out here and play hard. USC-6. Fresno State can't hang with this bunch. They have the better quarterback, that's it.
