Last month I did an experiment using the Martingale Progressive System while sports betting and I won $1800 dollars.  I am going to start doing it again tomorrow starting tomorrow using $770 of my earnings to get me started, which will still leave me $1030 ahead even if I lose.  I will be posting all of my plays in this thread everyday so if you would like to keep track for yourself feel free.  I am no professional in any sense of the word when it comes to capping, this is just recreation for me.  But I do strongly believe that doubling my bet everytime can work with a little research.

Please don't come on here being negative saying things like "this won't work blah blah blah," because I don't care this isn't a career for me and this isn't my money that I will lose, it's the Cannery's lmao.

Advanced understanding of a bell curve / regression to the mean and it's relationship to the ever seductive martingale can be extremely lucrative.  I'll stop right there, as I tend to not keep good secrets.

Don't stop share the wealth.  I know too from just using this for 2.5 weeks with just a small bankroll that I could make money.

Google Martingale betting it is simply a strategy that some gamblers use while playing blackjack or other table games.  You simply double your bet everytime you lose, and if you win you go back to betting your minimum.  I have translated this to sports betting by playing 3 games a day, one early one mid day and one late.  My first bet is $110 and if they don't cover I bet $220 on the mid day game.  If that one doesn't cover either I put $440 on the late game.  Therefore if any of the 3 I play that day wins I am up $100.  I did this everyday for 2.5 weeks and I won $1800.  I stopped, and now I'm starting again.

BOL.

Just curious, do you bet online through William Hill? I have an account set up at Red Rock (stations) and I'm looking for another online book to shop lines.  Considering Cantor's online, but if WH had one, I'd probably do that.

2 and a half weeks isn't a large enough sample size to declare victory over the martingale.  Eventually, you will reach a negative streak.  You've got to be bulletproof to that inevitable event.  That's what's at the heart of my original post.  You on twitter?, I am under the same name.

What are the max limits?   I'd say you should use multiple books so they don't ban ur behind.

I agree that's why I'm going again.  Research says that the Martingale is only effective when used in spurts so I think doing about 2.5 weeks on take a week off and go again that's my strategy and yes I'm on twitter under the same name SinCityTwist

nice hit .... easy to see how this can get out of control pretty quickly if you don't have a good size roll and high betting limits.

Very true but I'm only going as high as $440 on a bet no more than that and if it doesn't work oh well.  Right now I'm up $200 pending my bets for today.  Thank you Texas A&M

I didn't do the Martingale today but I did put in a 3-team parlay for $100 I took Miami,Indiana and St Louis and it just hit for $700 I took a picture of it too for any of you that want proof.  That same 3 teams is also on an 8 team parlay that I played today for $20 the other 5 teams are Pacers, New Mexico, Duke and the Heat wish me luck.

My buds know this is as the "Norman-Gale".

I learned of the real Martingale story couple years ago.  Then I thought that should be applied to the NFL because teams very rarely cover 3 times in a row.  This is profitable, especially when a team goes 0-2 ATS at any point, the likelihood of them going 0-5 ATS is bottom basement low, the numbers evade me.  I then applied this strategy starting after last years all star break and had enormous success.  I started choosing a home team for a 3 or 4 game series betting the first game and doubling up as the series progressed if they were to lose.  Of all the "home favorites" I chose none were swept at home.

I then pondered what else this wonderful system could do.  Add in the O/U and TTR you find your self with an insane amount of options.  Take for example the Angels coming off a 4 game series in which they didn't score more than 4 runs in any of the games.  Law of probability states they will score more than 4 in one of the next 3 games simply because they are an offensive powerhouse and they score runs.  And if they don't, well hell, that's gamblin'.

Before one were to undertake such a thing you must commit your self to following through.  For example, if you choose the Braves as your series and they lose the first 2 games, you will then be looking at a massive wager for the 3rd game. If you decide to use this system then you cannot bow out on those huge 3rd game wagers.  No matter what.
