Throw poop at the wall and see which one hits the floor first. SC has prettier poop.

I have to tell you royal.  Ive been on covers a long time and read a lot of dumb garbage on here and rarely do i post anything.  I normally look at what everyone likes and go the other way.  But that was one of the best comments ive seen on here.  Ive had a few beers and that was hilarious.

Although my hunch is a low scoring, turnover type game.

Usc - 38                                                Georgia Tech - 14

Trojans -10                                         under 64

Love watching the Sun Bowl at the local American Legion Post. It sort of gets the New Years Eve party started early. After a 2 year hiatus, the Trojans re-appear on the Bowl scene and they do it gangnam style. Tech just doesn't match-up against this Trojan squad.

USC - Under

GT is pathetic on defense, as in awful, so USC will roll up the points even with the backup QB.  The question is can USC be physical enough to stop the triple option, which is different from the Oregon spread they see regularly.  I think USC outscores GT but when an offense gets 350 yards rushing it limits your possessions and GT will get their yardage.  It also runs a lot of time off the clock.  I am looking at GT and the over but not really confident in either.  Look forward to seeing other input on this screwy matchup.

This looks like mismatch at first glance but where does USC find motivation to play this game.

First, they start off at number one but lose every meaningful game for remainder of season.  USC means US Choke.

Second, Kiffin is clearly a scumbag and incompetent so I doubt any of these guys are glad to be playing for him ( Barkley probably checked out early to avoid a possible NFL career damaging injury)

Third, how would you like to spend NY Eve in El Paso preparing for team that is going to chop block your legs and jeopardize your NFL future?

USC is a bunch of lazy front runners with a lousy coaching staff who have no idea how to prepare a team.  GT is glad to be here, even got a special exemption to be in this game.  GT runs a gimmick triple option that is nothing like the Oregon offense that destroyed USC over a month ago.  Not sure if I will be on GT but you can bet your behind that I won't be on USC.

My scoring predictor makes USC a 35 - 32 winner by 3 pts.  Maybe was a decent play when USC was -10 but not so much at USC -7,5.  My sharp / square ML predictor is leaning to GT but not enough to make a play on this criteria.  The SI consensus is 54% on USC - I prefer a consensus no higher than 40% before I make a play.  I will most likely be passing this game but I won't be surprised if GT shows up and USC does not

GTech can run the hell out of the ball and burn time but a hand full of teams this season have stacked up points on the Yellow Jackets. This back-up QB for the Trojans would love to make a strong showing against this weak GT defense. Taking the over and maybe USC

lots of nfl talent with injury problems for usc.  i got on them early before barkley out and lee and mcneal questionable.  3000+ yd QB, 1600+ yd receiver and 800+ yd RB...lots of offense with issues.

GT only beat one team with a winning record this year and they allowed 50 points in that game

prima facie, USC looks disinterested...I think its a gangsta mirage...

its Monte Kiffen's last game as a coach...the man has had an outstanding career of innovation on the D side of the ball...

sure Lane is a spoiled marginal coach, but if he can stay out of trouble (which is a big if), he is building something there at SC.

i think, with over a month to prepare for that Ga Tech D, even with the loss of Barkley and possibly Lee, USC's talent a depth will manhandle an otherwise bad one dimensional Ga Tech team.

if nothing else, those USC players will want to send Monte out on top with a resounding victory.

I'll take the Men of Troy -7.5 to cover...

USC 35

Ga Tech 17

My latest updates are now indicating a small ( 1 unit ) play on GT.

1.  Consensus likes USC by 56% which points to a small contrarian play on GT.  The higher the consensus, the better the play on the other side.  You can't make a living fading the public as your only tool but you can sure get your behind kicked from betting on the public sides in every game.

2.  Sharp / Square ML predictor is now calling for a bet on GT.  This indicator is 7-1 this bowl season and but I am now becoming leery of a reversal to the mean for this indicator..  Still, I will keep on playing it until it shows signs of regression.  Play GT

3. CE Diff likes GT by 12% margin.  The good handicappers that I watch are trending toward GT. Ideally, I like a 15% margin and this indicator is only hitting 50% for bowl season as the bookies are hammering the good handicappers thus far. Play GT

4.  USC numbers were built primarily with Barkley at QB most of season.  I am concerned that the new QB may spark USC to a big win which is why I am keeping the bet at 1 unit.  Any sign of late steam on GT will increase GT to a 2 unit play.  This would mean that smart money is discounting Wittek, the new USC QB.

These reasons are SOLID.  I love the "reversion to the mean" trend, its a statistic fact, absent of emotion.  You can also apply that to the NFL over/ unders as the entire year unfolds.

you GT backers and your stat, motivation standard deviation dorks must have missed G Tech's 21 point loss to Middle Tenn as a 28 point favorite...I bet USC has watched that game and know exactly what they need to do...USC went score for score with teh best Offense in the nation in Oregon...and M Kiffen has shut down running option teams back in the day...you keep looking at your charts while the rest of us count how many TD's USC racks up...

Matt Barley, not playing.......Lee may not play. What does that means?? Thank you lord!!Don't need any prima donnas in this game,SC got bluechip kids that will make their mark in this bowl game and contrary to public belief that this game means nothing.......HOGWASH!! Unlike the overrated short,no feet, can not extened the play and always looks for ONE reciever(LEE) Barkley,Witteg will spread the wealth to his blue chip WR reciever corp and will be able extend plays with his running ability and quick feet.GT is a one trick pony.Any one of you that say"SC seems uninterested in this game"put your money GT and watch it BURN!!!!!!
