First let me say I'm really excited about this event and it's location I am waiting for lines and will post later on but to start it out here are some of my thoughts.

Importance:
#1. Driving DD & DA if you don't hit it long and in the fairway here your cooked right off the bat.
#2 Scambling if you can't get it up and down your cooked
#3 No fear with 15ft putts on lightening fast teacup sized greens..look for guys that have good putting performances in majors

Golf is a great game because there is always more than one way to score but all the talents will come in here and holes in the armor  will be exposed

I like your capping factors for this tournament...

Sleeper pick not to win, but contend, would be Van Pelt

Fading...Ishikawa

Interesting plays Sir...you really think DJ's game is a fit for Olympic Club?

Opposite on Furyk...Sergio is hot right now and so is Rose...

Good Luck!

I'm not on the fade Bubba or DJ band wagon I am on the fade Tiger 1st round wagon and I'm  on the Kuchar wagon  because he has positive history here. I think Sergio shots a million out here, he's not quite long enough(consistently)he's not quite straight enough(consistently) and he can't putt a lick...I know he has been improving but I'm still not sold.

Good points on Kuchar...I saw he was low amatuer in 1998...good vibes a flowin' for sure...

Kinda feel ya on Sergio...not to sure how difficult the Nordea Masters is, but he had a good showing there. His putting has drastically improved too...but I doubt he shoots a million this week. Top 20 for sure!

Blue - any opinion on how Stricker plays this weekend? My book offers Kuchar/Stricker instead of Kuchar/Rose.

I'm on the fence on that one Rockdog Paddy has some history here where as Toms does not but I think if Toms has his A game he can score here I think he may handle the striking side better than Paddy but if he shows up with his B game Paddy grinds him out.Toms A game in my mind beats Paddy A game on this track but Paddy's B game beats Toms B game if that makes sense...I also feel neither one has that great a shot of showing up 1st round here with their A game.Which is the reason why I did not play Harrington and played against Toms. If i had a  gun to my head I would lean Paddy on his scrambling along his imagination will be helpful at Olympic and is also the reason why I think his b game would take Toms.

Look at 15ft and under putting stats as these are smallish greens also try and find guys that putt well on challenging greens, slopey screamers might be a fair discription of Olympic when its in tournament condition.
