@ABooksNightmare Typical retort. I was only addressing the gas stove comment BUT sarcasm and jabs aside you are correct actually. Gas based fryers have the same issue as do gas broilers and gas griddles. All of your concerns are 100% legit but that is not why you listed those. Nothing like deflection sarcasm to make for good debate/conversation. |

@UNIMAN Gas stove we had this chit chat a while back. I guess none of you GOP kids went on scout campouts when you were younger using propane or kerosene or the like and used a flame based cooking stove in close quarters. I know I got sick several times due to the fumes from cooking and from the leaking of cannisters when there was still stuff in the lines and the stove was off. My mother in law owns a beach house down in Puerto Penasco Mexico, thats about 4 hours from PHX across the border and on the Sea of Cortez, we went down there a few times and stayed in her house, they use propane and their houses do not have proper vent systems they just open the windows when cooking, I could not live like that with propane running all the time. I think the science of a gas stove being dangerous is 100% legit, even going into my garage and having a gas water heater I can smell it and I know there is gas but we have code vents to keep it safe. I would not just brush off the idea that gas stoves CAN be a health hazard because I believe they can and are. |

@Raiders22 Thanks but you almost to a fault try and pick a fight with me, it is obvious you would try to debate a concept even though you really do understand and you do it just to try and be difficult. Bumping threads IS breaking the rules when the intent is breaking the rules, so lets quit playing lawyer ball and understand that intent as he and others admit is the issue. I think your biases make you intentionally combative when I know 100% you get the underlying concept and reason. I dont want to keep stating the same thing but again the politics forum is THE most difficult on the site, nothing even the penalty box is as difficult and the standards/guidelines/rules are for sure going to be tighter because members are at their worst in this area. Lets move along, discussion with you never has a conclusion as you do not truly seek to have true discussion with me. |

@Raiders22 Thanks for your input but that is not how it works. You can scroll along no problem but it is not your obligation to be responsible for member to member interactions. Read the below paragraph and let me add this as I said above.. You are not needing to be led by the nose and have a 50 page line item posting manual, the concept is to add value and be respectful, that is all you need to focus on. If you feel like scrolling along congrats and good for you but that is not my concern what you feel is proper and not. It is not so difficult to understand even for you that the politics forum is THE most combative in the entire site, the rules and guidelines are to give the direct AND indirect expectations for all members. If the concept of being respectful, not retaliating and making personal remarks is not understood from reading the guidelines then I will state them DIRECTLY to you. This area of the site brings out the worst in people, if anything the standard of posting is higher here than anywhere else due to the inability of members to discuss politics and be respectful.

@Raiders22 It is right here, repeated several times and for you to try and debate the concept is absurd. You know if someone is not adding value and is intentionally posting to provoke or retaliate we do NOT allow it. Dont act like you are not understanding because in reality if ANY sub section of this site needs extremely tight guidelines, even more than what is in the below url it is the POLTICS area- https://www.covers.com/forum/guidelines |

@witswits Report messages that you think break the guidelines or rules, do not retaliate or be combative as a purpose for posting. You admitted it and have in the past, just steer completely clear of that and do not try to one-up the other side. I think I have explained this more than enough, so I wont keep asking. It is obvious you cannot stop yourself from being annoyed by the other side, but you are required to do so and some members who are unable actually decide it is not worth breaking the rules and being angry so they do not post and skip it all together. |

@Raiders22 Please read the guidelines and follow what they say. This forum is a breeding ground for garbage so please do all you can to keep the guidelines and rules, report if someone is breaking them and avoid combative interaction. Mods have been around longer than you and seen more than you, he is breaking the rules by bumping threads to compete against the other side, he admits it and has admitted it in the past. Thanks for your concern. |

@witswits Post 252 and 253 are the root of the problem. You post to retaliate against what other people do and that is not following the guidelines. It is not your job to retaliate or say what you are doing is fair or not fair or what others are doing so you do something, that is not what we allow. If someone is breaking the rules please report it and YOU are responsible for what YOU post, not because of what someone else does. This is not a thread competition and to you it is. Please stop from posting to compete against others. |

in Politics Same here, can you guys not just make bumping comments that really are not adding value? Its not a competition to have your content on top of theirs. |

@witswits I know you are in a bumping competition which is against the rules so let me make you aware of that and also reply to your humorous last message. Can you define how Trump in his term made sure THEY were paying their fair share and what that even means? Did Trump make himself head of NATO like his silly family did making an amateur Laura head of your party? This is not a competition of DNC vs RNC thread superiority, steer clear of bumping threads by replying with no content messages. Try being better than the other side not worse. |

@witswits What does that have to do with anything? Are you seeking opportunities to say his name so badly that you have to make comments which have no relevance to any conversation? |

@Raiders22 I personally do not see the differences between Iran and China or Russia or even Saudi Arabia. When I was younger the perception of Russia and China was much much more severe than it currently is and yet the US did not hold the position of either destroy them or have no interaction and in fact we had many presidents that worked out agreements and had relationships even with severe differences AND I would say right now...today...that Saudi Arabia is as bad or worse than Iran with regards to religious extremism and abuses of human rights. I see many similarities between SA and Iran, the difference is that Iran is more militarily aggressive than SA is. I am disgusted with how we bow to the Saudis and tolerate their abuses and the way they treat women, minorities etc. My comment about Iran was based on the approaches several on your side have towards how we should not try to negotiate with Iran and why did we make decisions we did given the terrorist country they allegedly are. We have balanced relationships with many countries that we might not want to in order to accomplish a larger objective that has merit. |

@witswits Pesky facts? So the US and GOP presidents never had a variety of agendas towards our allies and enemies? We do not have to hate and invade Iran as the only way we interact with them and since we are trying to guide them away from nukes the approach might be exactly what the leadership did. It cant be either destruction or nothing, over the decades we have tried to work with Russia and China even though we were also at odds with them in many ways. |

@UNIMAN When you frame a narrative without context you are inaccurately portraying the person you are quoting. I posted that five years ago with specific references and details and context. You were using words and comment made with a completely different time frame and context to try and slander me, much like Trump does to people. I stand by what I said in the CONTEXT to which I said it. Your reply about my using 1000 words is weak deflective garbage and in which you never replied just kept with your slander narrative. Dont quote me out of context to form a lazy narrative, that is sloppy and amateur and it shows what lengths you go to and that you are really not looking to make things better or create discord here at all. |

@UNIMAN You have no reference to your claim...what you THINK Trump might do is not what he ever did...so how can you make a claim based on what you THINK he would do? Trump was never faced with these situations...blame or not that is not the point and please do not quote me that because Trump was taken seriously blah blah blah that is rhetoric and you have no grounds for making that claim. You cant know what he would do, he has no experience or background with foreign affairs or the military so please either reference SIMILAR examples or just leave it. What you THINK he would do, what he SAYS he would do is meaningless and guess what, it does not matter how big his social media mouth is, that does not mean it is a deterrence or that it would make an impact. |

@fubah2 You and Kelly are no different than Uniman, the DNC needs to take action and make things better not cheer against the other side and find fault and belittle. Be better yourself... |

@UNIMAN You are mixing points to form a funzy narrative. Let us separate points, it seems I have to do this with you non-stop as above when you misquoted me and tried to frame a false narrative on something I actually did say. 8th grader comment was not about debt and the implications of debt, so would you like to retrace that or are you trying to pull a Trump and misquote and smear someone using lies and false pretense? Pet projects comment was because your side is mad mad mad about deficits an debt because Biden is in charge, but as I said now several times why is your side not leading the charge towards debt reduction and balanced budget by SETTING THE EXAMPLE...that means lead not by your fingers but by your actions. So are you mad about deficits and debt or are you just mad at Biden for the 100th time today? If you and your side is mad at deficits and debt then why do you not propose that your side sacrifices pet projects and agendas to balance the budget and no more debt? Lead by action...not by blaming. You knew my reference I framed it perfectly. Are you interested in less debt and a balanced budget or not? If so then push for action on YOUR SIDE...do not worry about the other side or blame the other side or poke at the other side, do your part by action and example...lead by strong principals and actions, you know that stuff that is crammed in the New Testament your side loves to act like they follow? Lead by doing what is best for society and do all you can knowing that is who YOU are and what the GOP is. I stated if your side were really interested in less debt and balanced budget and put their money where their mouth is I would be strongly impressed...actions and not fingers that would impress me.We both know your side is heavy blamers and fault finders, you are not looking to make things better you are just looking for power and control. You want the DNC out so your agenda goes forward, you are not looking to work with others who see different and you are not interested in setting an example, being the good citizen and not worrying about what someone else does or does not do. Please quote and refer to me in context, dont play Trump games with me and just think I will ignore it. |
