@Bruins4Life Where do you live in Canada? 1.1M in Toronto buys you a mobile home with no roof. in Halifax or Regina. Different story. well done mate. |

@Bruins4Life Yeah we have Roth IRA’s (individual retirement accounts). $7,000 annual contribution limit. similar in nature. I max this out annually and have traditional IRA accounts and taxable brokerage accounts also. I receive sizable tax breaks due to the married filing jointly standard deduction and 4 children so tons of “tax credits”, so I have very little personal tax liability as is. So fine “paying the tax now” as they say. I focus on high quality income ETFs yielding 8% + with diversified sectors and strategies, along with MLPs and “preferred” stock offerings. with how much I contribute bi-weekly, I should have about $85,000 per year in annual dividend income payments within 10 years and at age 44, work will then be essentially optional when factoring that I have no debt other than my home… |

D was a mess last year hard to look at low ret pro and be worried they need a new crew on that side .. think there's something to like but 5 games they;re >10 pt dogs per SP+ calc and while yeah GT been king of the upsets couple years let's not forget they lost to Bowling Green and blew shots vs Ville and I think some others had every chance to beat Ole Miss too .. needed the Miami Miracle and UNC I think was another big comeback .. I played GT Over 3.5 in '22 and think 4.5 last year was jammed up each time felt like a loss before they pulled some shockers .. could blow by 5.5 easy sure but its def a team I'm gunna wanna see what they got to play over that number .. really bad D situation would put me off they had a few guys to like last year couple good safeties, would be a turnoff if we don't get some kinda good vibe from that side post spring .. Btw Joz don't listen to me lol think you nailed it on a couple like Cuse and Wyo last couple years I was more skep shoulda listened, so fire away brother ..
GT is so interesting. at times they show flashes of brilliance, like they could beat anyone in the acc handily. and then, they lose by 25 against BG...super bizarre. and certainly the most fortunate team in the ACC last year with two miracle comebacks in games they were "mathematically eliminated" in...Bridge and I were talking during the GT-Miami game...it worked out well for us mario effect. |

utah schedule including a non-con bout with conference foe baylor (not for league standings). Cam Rising saga continues but spring practice should shed some light on the situation at hand in their QB room. interesting how they will play vs. a ton of unfamiliar opponents. holy war now a league game...B12 is looking more and more like the ole MWC with BYU, utes and TCU...

We have some major issues to work through, and only 6 months to figure it out. -Coaching carousel and players transfering in/out...this hasnt even really ramped up yet as the mass exodus will happen after spring ball from now to may 1st. -schedules are getting fininshed up, but we do have some strange scenarios like oregon pulling the plug on their game at hawaii and teams having a double bye this season, so we will have many more scheduling spots where a team has a bye week on deck or coming off a bye, or the opponent is off a bye, things to really keep an eye on, as those spots are usually easy to identify and circle early in the spring/summer and then really dive into how these teams are feeling come bye week. some teams desperately need them to get healthy, some teams slack off for 4-5 days before trying to find it again. alot to digest there. with the season starting earlier now than ever, it will also be interesting to see who is playing games in stadiums where students are not yet on campus. stanford did this a time or two, and a few others, where they were playing games and the students hadnt even received their dorm room assignments yet and no one was on campus, just a strange abnormal situation to keep an eye on. it will also be wild to see teams adjust to unfamiliar opponents who they havent played in forever. its going to create for some wild content this college football season. |

Betonline, Fandual and a few others have started to release P5 RSW numbers. This is the earliest I have seen these numbers released ever...usually memorial day weekend is when they are released in Vegas, but these online books have started to push the pace quickly on this. Spring practice has hardly started (Hawaii spring game next sunday) and TARP and RP numbers are unreliable as people are still departing and transferring in/out...seems like SP+ had some inaccurate data from who is and who isnt returning. NCAA FB seems like they universally approved the 12 team playopff as a 5+7 model, there should be some good value to hunt for in "Team _______ to make the playoff Yes/No" and also the top teams are going to see longer odds to win it all now, Georgia as an example is 5:1, as they have to make the playoffs and then win three more games after they get in... anyway...offseason is over boys. time to get to work to have a prosperous and profitable NCAA FB Betting season. Ill get the data together on the RSW and post it for discussion. |

This is a key point, and RAIDERS mentioned it, too, but you really gotta be careful if you go the stock route. You could be tempted to invest in a company w a juicy dividend, only to find that it is unsustainable, and the dividend gets cut. That's when a stock can go down 20% or more in a single day !! Be careful if you go the stock route. You really have to do your due diligence Personally , I'd stick with ETFs, with low fees, and I do.. . VYM has a really low expense fee at 0.06% expense fee too, so does SCHD. I really like VYM...
I truly find this advice to be sound, but you can find some really solid companies that have a great balance sheet, cash surplus and strong financials to support a position all while collecting a great dividend yield.
Kinder Morgan Energy Transfer Enterprise Products Citibank Preferred Wells Fargo Preferred
all rock solid, these companies are never going BK and the div. yield/low beta of the preferreds make it an extremely viable option. |
