I've spent enough of my energy discussing my position on this post. To serious cappers and not trolls keep the winners coming...

@orlans17. The circumstances here are different than what you're talking about in your above scenario. You think I would be calling a foul bet a foul bet, over one play? We're both smarter than that.

@Pharoh2333. Hopefully, you know as well as I do that gambling is no laughing matter. I, like everyone who gambles has taken my share of losses and I'm okay with that. Don't try to trivialize the point I'm making here.

@ LockBurger. You don't know my bet amounts, so you don't know what I'm able to do under these circumstances. In gambling the worse type of loss is being on the right side of a play and you end up loosing under these kinds of conditions. Just like you or anyone else, I do to have the right to voice my opinion. There's no need for your chide remarks...

@ Htown1. As you and I both know, the 3 pointer is the most difficult shot to make, so if the Rockets are making them, who cares about a record. A team just has to tip their caps and not be poor sports about it. Furthermore, was Mark Jackson going to instruct his team to just give up open lay-ups to the Rockets to stop them from shooting threes, no, not at all?

@ Enjoi. I guess your bet amounts are a lot smaller than mine, so don't speak on what you don't know.

For the 2nd half, I took the under 108.5 and there were at least 3 technical fouls called in the final minute to help push the 2nd half total over 110. Unbelievably, there was a taunting technical, a flagrant 1 and 2 foul called, with both teams "of course" making their free throws. Mind you, the Warriors were down by more than 20 points most of the 2nd half and the final minute, so why weren't both teams just trying to get the game over with? A very suspicious outcome I must say and I'm definitely getting this one voided...

Well New Orleans is overvalued at (-7) with or without Brian Urlacher in the fold. Offensively, New Orleans is going to have to throw the ball on the Bears to win (the Bears were #2 against the rush last year). Now, that's going to be a little tougher task without Mr. Colsten or Lance Moore in the line-up. The key with any successful defense is to get pressure with the front four to not compromise the coverage areas of the back seven. So if the Bears defensive front can create the same kind of havoc as they did last week, Brees will be in for a long day. The Bears have two 6' 7" defensive ends in Peppers and Idonije that will effect the 6'1" Brees' from throwing some routes over the Bears defensive front. On the other hand, Brees and Payton tend to make great in-game adjustments, so maybe they'll counter the Bears well? 27-21 Chicago |

Bears are 25-2 under Lovie Smith when scoring 25 pts. or more in a game
in NFL Betting Found this stat and it may sway more people to take the Bears this week. It's very likely that this game turns into a shoot-out, so we shall see. Chicago +7 |

Jstnhnsly below is very good insight quoted from elsewhere that counters your arguement: "That's Lovie's defense, though. The opposing offense can't score more than three times, maybe four, if each scoring drive is 8 minutes long. And the Bears, between Cutler's arm/Knox and Hester's speed, and Hester on special teams, can score quickly. Something else to ponder is the fact that Vegas oddsmakers generally don't miss anything, but it seems they haven't yet adjusted their spreads to reflect the Bears' true play. Before the season began, the Bears were an unknown and a longshot to win the Superbowl at 30 to 1 all the way up to 40 to 1 at some sportsbooks. Sunday night will give us an accurate read on if Vegas has caught up yet to the Bears' correct value. I hope not... Bears +3 or whatever...

Even though it's a short week for the Bears, the Giants are playing with a lack of confidence that might sabotage them in this game if they get down early. They'll need to play like a wounded animal backed against the wall or the Bears will bully and embarrass them. I think the Giants will be ready for the challenge but the Bears wll continue to ride their emotional high and pull out the victory nonetheless! |

The Bears are No. 1 vs. the rush and that will translate even better this week against a Giants team that likes to run the football. Futhermore, if Tommy Harris isn't traded by week's end, I predict he'll play this game fired up and be a very disruptive force all game long.
