I always enjoyed your picks when you used to post back in the day while you were at law school. I hope all is going well in your life.

I was on Cincy as well; the ball wasn't released when the light came on.

We can extend this conversation past refs and look at the committee as well. A Duke team that did not win the ACC regular season title, did not win the ACC tournament title, not only get a 1 seed, but by evaluation of the bracket they received as the defacto 1 seed. The only real test they encountered was Wisky. Arizona, Wisky, UK were arguably the 3 best teams in the nation. And teams like ND and UNC were better than any team Duke faced until their finals appearance.Truly a shame that we couldn't see a magical run by Wisky come to full fruition.[/Quote] I have been saying for years that it is always such a joke that Duke gets the easiest path each year. Gonzaga, a mid-major, who annually disappoints as a 2 seed while Wiscy gets Arizona, a team loaded with NBA talent. |

question: what usually happens to a college team after they beat a team that won 38 straight:)

Thought my 1H over was in the bag. 38 points through 10 minutes. Brutal.

I think it is a play that has a lot of potential. My two biggest concerns would be as follows:
1) West Virginia defense allows the quickest tempo in the country for its opponent. That is because they run that full-court press, but if they don't score enough to use the press, that will be an issue. 2) I think Bob Huggins may realize that the best way for him to stay in this game is to make it a half-court game and really ugly the game up. Good luck with your wager. I am on the first half over. |

That was a very impressive display of competitiveness, skill and leadership. Can't wait to have him as an Oriole!

how to run offensive sets against a zone defense. Pathetic! Their guards are simply passing to one another and holding the ball for 2-3 seconds. Can they get some ball movement or attack it inside out?
