I remember the good old days when I could make a transfer via neteller right from my bank account to Pinnacle and come on this site to actually read educated opinions on why people were on one side of a bet or another. Rarely did it influence my bet, as a matter of fact one guy and I that I haven't seen on here in ages were on opposite sides..(CGold) I lost he won.. I tried to debate him, his opinion was very well educated - I enjoyed the entire week of discussing something that I love to do, Old school, no name calling he was spot on, You can always make an educated reason to bet either side, but only one guy ends up being right. For the most part Covers used to be classy when people actually made bets.. I don't believe less than 50% of the crap I read on here now a day. Now it's more about fictitious amounts instead of having the desire to educate yourself - the ego's are way too inflated. People come here to pound on their own chests instead of having an educated dialogue. I remember Nostradamus, even Demapples dog pick of the week... the records did the talking. Now people like Vanzack troll this place like it's their own back yard. He was even willing to argue with me about what direction I should point my directv dish.. and I'm a television engineer. My point is everybody has an opinion, you will find out soon enough who to respect - it just takes much longer these days cause the action is much more sparse. Please remember just because somebody posts a lot doesn't mean they're right. A lot of posts doesn't mean a winning record, BUT there are a lot of people that are very transparent that will post bets weeks in and week out and you may be able to learn a thing or two.. Never follow a guy that puts up a side and a record without any proof.. My recommendation is to educate yourself and make a hobby out of it... I stopped posting my picks because instead of a healthy debate that I used to get that would educate me - I had people flaming me without any sort of reasoning behind their opinion.

Take it from your name sake....
The sides at Prime far outweighed the steak itself during my last visit. Have YET to be served a bad steak at Strip House in PH, not cheap but IMO you'll get more for your money than at Gordon's Place |

I just got a 1000.00 HH Bond after the death of my Grandmom - should I share it with my wife?

You're asking this question on Covers... Are you looking for the answer you want or the answer you know is right?
It's not that much money, You could either blow it or spend it on two of the people that mean the most to you... |

Now I realize why there are only a few SB's left in all of Vegas where I can bet on a game and drink for free.

I knew somebody that worked in Antigua. Let me caution you on one or two things that others have mentioned. You will be working outside of the United States - so obviously US labor laws like a 40 hour work week and overtime may not exist. He worked well over 40 hours a week, basically he had a day or two off a week but when he worked he worked from when they opened until when they closed.
Antigua is much different than Costa Rica - my "friend of a friend" said he was bored out of his mind and was really never able to "save" a substantial amount of money to make it worth his while. |

Funny, I got the biggest laugh out of Nelson. In my opinion the UFC has wanted him to lose his last 3 fights, but he steps up... sooner or later he will be outmatched. I will never bet my money on an out of shape professional athlete.

You will have a great time. The best piece of advice I can give you is to not set your expectations too high...

I disagree slightly with BMA. Coming to a forum like this could very well be the first step in getting the help you need. Finding out in the relative anonymity of the internet just how common your situation is might help you realize just what others have already said... There's nothing wrong with you and whatever stigmas that used to be associated with anxiety have long passed. The first thing you need to realize is that it's a VERY common problem and you're NOT alone. I don't think you should seek the advice of others on here other than to realize that a doctor is who you need to speak with. Let him diagnose you with a fear, disorder or bad (eating) habits. I started getting anxiety attacks in OCT of '01 just after 9/11. I travel frequently for work and never had a problem on a plane or in a car for long periods of time. All of a sudden out of nowhere it started on a plane trip - like you said, I thought I was going to have a heart attack - the pressure inside my chest, the sweaty palms combined with the feeling of being trapped and completely out of control started my heart racing even more, it's a F'n nightmare that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Shortly afterwards it happened during a long van ride - after the second time I saw a Dr. because I vowed NEVER to go through that experience EVER again - and since I started seeing a Dr. I'm always prepared in case it happens again. Ironically enough, I realized in my case that just having a Xanax in my pocket without even having to take it is enough to calm me down. Good Luck |

5 rounds is an awfully long time, you guys know this is gonna be new for most guys that haven't fought for a belt..... An exhausted fighter is a hell of a lot more apt to make a mistake later on in the fight.
I'm usually on the wrong side of MMA bets. but I say it doesn't go the distance... What do I know I think the last MMA bet I won was GSP over Hughes, LOL |

Looks like you're smartly betting with your head rather than your heart on this one... I think you're ultimately on the right side
Or maybe it's just me. I think Bisping's got a distinct edge, but boy did he make a real ass out of himself on the show and I would love to see mayhem give him a good old fashioned beatdown - so that bisping would have to wait to take that long flight back across the pond becuase of a nice concussion! |
