I usually do more reading than posting, but I study teams and games hard. The line does seem fishy for sure. Last night with OK and Kentucky was not surprising to me. Ok plays no defense at all and Kent is just young. Kstate and SC lives and dies with their strong defensive play which can keep you in games especially at home. Combined with the fact they played at home adds a totally diff dimension and the line was below three for both games which always makes me nervous. But Ohio St has something that many teams don't have and that is inside and outside point production. Mixed with their strong defensive play will win you a lot of games in my opinion. They were fav -6 on the road against a strong defensive team in Rutgers but not an offensive team. NW is a shade better than Rutgers overall which makes the line lower and it opened at -4 I believe. I think Ohio States covers and if they take care of business in the first half and take away "HOPE" from NW, this game may look like the Nebraska game NW played back on Jan. 2nd. BUT AS I ALWAY SAY THEY PLAY THE GAME TO MAKE SOMEBODY RIGHT AND SOMEBODY WRONG!

First and foremost if you do not see how close this game will be you really do not know college football. Clemson just shut out an Urban Meyer team that Prides itself on scoring on every possession if he can because that's how Urban is. Urban hasnt been shut out in 15 seasons. Brent Venables the D Coord. for Clem had a great game plan and if he uses a very similar gameplan against bama they will be successful and that was bringing alot of pressure. Bama against Wash, If you take a way a pik 6 and a long run with 4 miss tackles on it, this was a 10-7 game but the bama D has put up points all season so kudos to them. Clem D has gave up points all season but is climaxing at the right time. This will be a field position based game and a defensive 1 i feel. The formula to shut down Alabama was very well shown in the LSU game you bring someone extra off the edge early and often and keep Hurts in the pocket and make him throw. Hurts never breaks from within the pocket he always runs outside pocket and uses his speed that is why LSU was so successful defending bama because they understood they needed to bottle him up and make him beat you with his arm which he cannot. Hurts only threw for 57 yards in the entire Washington game, Qbs throw for that on first drives yet alone an entire game. Bama front 7 is the best in the NCAA but the weakess lies in the secondary you just never get to see it bc that front 7 is special but Ole Miss exposed the secondary and A&M showed some holes as well. Mike Williams & A Scott will be huge for Clem and dont sleep on Leggette at TE. Ppl you really cant fathom the pressure that will be on Sarkisian callin plays for the O tomorrow in place of Lane. Lane had great feels for games & could look at players and kno wat to expect, Sarkisian does not have that kind of feel for his personnel i feel. I bought this thing up to +7.5 and played money line at +210. BOL to all, it will be epic. FYI, I live in Alabama but i feel this is Clemson's year! |

Everyone keeps talking about taking the over because you say game 3 is important unlike I guess game one wasn't nor game 2 & even more important so game three. So they just decide not to play defense because it's even more important of a game 3? Some of u all your Logic is terrible across the board for O/U, not only have they not went over for the game in any game thus far but they haven't even went over for the first half in any game, just food for thought. Defense is getting tighter each game. I like the under for the 1st Qt 56, 1ST h 112, and the game 221. GTLA |

Every1 is talking can Clemson run the ball but what ppl are failing to realize is that Watson has thrown for almost 4k passing yards. To me this is goin to be the diff maker. Can clemson PASS on bama, bc that is def where bama is not as strong. if they maintain a strong passing game with some nice runs mixed in with some 4 wide qb draws here & there they can do beyond keep it close they will win. I don't see them doing wat they did to Okl on the ground to bama. On the other side can Coker protect the ball for the tide with no picks. This is the best secondary he will face & I really believe ppl got blinded by the bama/msu game. Bama is good but msu was really not that good and Clemson has waaaaay better athletes & scheme than msu. Watson making quick passes in space will keep this close for Clemson to cover and if they are able to run over 100 yds they will win.
Clem +7.5 (bought up .5) |

I know everyone gets leery of Thurs. nite games but I always feel when its early in the season dont be that worried. I think oddsmaker made the line where it is because they feel clemson has not played anyone and so people could 2nd guess this one being a Thurs nite game to get action on both sides of course. The one thing you need to know about Clemson is their QB is special and the defense is very very talented. Clemson has played lesser opponents in the first 2 games but when a greater team plays a lesser opponent its not just how many points they put up you should be impressed with, but how many points the defense holds that lesser opponent to. That app state team they just played is loaded with off talent and was held to 10 points and the line was only -18 for a lesser opp. so that tells you the respect given to app st. Bought this one down to -5.5 to be safe of a shank PAT. Louisville QB situation will not be solved over a short week, and it will be a problem. Weather is scheduled to be perfect tomorrow nite FYI. GL to all!!!

First of all you're bias from the Jump Mr. Boston Forever to even think that this could possibly be the best Pats team ever. So I guess when your Pats lost to Giants in 2012 that wasn't a good team or the record breaking Tom Brady team in 2008 who lost to the Giants again of which both of those Giants' team had aggressive defenses which Seattle doesn't have right?? When you watch this game please grab you some New England clam chowder and MAKE SURE EAT SOME DAMN HUSSSHPUPPIES bc its going to sound library in Mass. & Im def not bias bc I am a Jax Jaguars fan I just happen to know football and scheme very well.

First and foremost ppl kill me thinking as soon as the Pats are in the super bowl they are sure winners. If you look at the last 2 super bowls "Tom Brady" has played in bc that is what makes ppl lean towards the pats is him. They have played a defensive minded team from the NFC being the Giants and this Seattle team is far more cohesive and talented defensively from the DL to Secondary. Yes Seattle played horrific on Sunday but guess what? They CAME BACK AND REFUSE TO LOSE. Yes GB let them come back blah, blah, but in OT it was new ball game and they couldnt stop Seattle when they needed the big stop. Bad games do happen but to come back on one of the biggest stages to overcome adversity in the worst way and win, tells me everything about that squad. Now lets look at last year's SB, everyone raved how Manning was going to pick Seattle D apart and yes many of you will be bias and say NO I KNEW SEATTLE WOULD WIN bc you think of Peyton in his current deflated form but many of you did believe he was going to beat Seattle last year and he got embarrassed. This is the thing for you ppl who just gamble and dont know football. You collapse the pocket on Aaron Rodgers when he's healthy and he keeps the play alive with his feet. You collapse the pocket on Peyton or Brady they either get sacked or they throw the ball in the dirt. Many times the pocket was collapse on GB yesterday and A-Rod kept the play alive with his one leg. Watch the first half of the Ravens game, Tom hates and despises pressure so bad that it makes him yell at the ref and say they are breathing on me throw the damn flag. Seattle knows if they can contain Blount this game can get out of hand. Chancellor matches up great against Gronk and not to mention their LB's can run with him. The only person who has a potential chance to do some good is Edelman. Watch the same recipe as the broncos, press the WRs at the line and bring pressure and make Tom beat you over the top and last time I check about 80% of Tom throws are throws are 15 yards or less. Do your homework and watch film ppl. The pats 4 losses this season are against aggressive suffocating blitzing defenses (Miami, Buffalo, GB, and KC). Yes the Pats destroyed the Colts but this is the same Colts D that let a no name Jonas Gray run for over 200 yds on them so I'm not in ah like the Pats are unstoppable. You give this Seattle D 2 weeks to prepare for an explosive offense and last year's SB proves what they can do. But at the end of the day that's why they call it gambling because you can pick who you want. Seattle wins back to back Super Bowl and let me jump on this line since its at a PK it line for 2 dimes. WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK

Every one keeps talking about Defense this defense that, there is one small variable everyone is forgetting, these guys are getting less than two weeks to prepare for each other. This is not the old days where u have over a month to prepare for each other. There is nothing ohio st can do to prepare for the hurry up offense of Oregon period. There is nothing Oregon can do to prepare for ohio st power run game period. This game will come down to who makes the fewest mistakes with turnovers and prob who has the ball last. I'm a long long time gator fan and let me tell u urban wants to light up the scoreboard every time his offense takes the field. If you wanted to see defense you saw it on the first where teams had over 3 weeks to prepare. Florida st defense in '13 was the best in the country and had a month to prepare for Aub hurry up and couldn't do it. The reason y you can't really prepare for the hurry up offenses is bc u can't mimic the pace of a team who runs it and the scout team can not give your defense a true look and the amount of reps until they see it in a game and at that point they start sucking wind and start mentally blowing assignments. Both teams are getting less than a normal BYE week ppl. FSU quit hands down when they played Oregon when the score got out of hand. This is the national championship no team will quit if they are losing handily bc both offenses have the capability to score fast and will feel they are not out of it. Expect scoring lots of it as far as who wins I will need to watch the 1st half honestly. Wish everyone well

The weather is suppose to iffy which favors Aub even more. If FSU with all their talent couldn't stop Aub run game after over a month to prepare. I'm not worried about k-state after an extra week to prepare. Honestly Arkansas could beat k-state, you minimize Locket for K-State and it may get ugly. Aub running game gets stronger & stronger as the game progresses. And now with Marshall's ability to pass better than last year you can't just hone it on the run. May be close first half but Aub has out scored opponents 2nd half 45-3. Sounds like offensive and defensive adjustments are being made at the half.
Aub all day (This insight has been brought to you by a Gator fan)

Def no upset here, please don't use UCLA as a gauge of comparison. It's very clear that UCLA is hyped thus far especially when I saw Memphis scored on them with ease and could have won. UCLA offense is not the passing juggernaut that Louisville portrays with a good mix of a power back that gave Miami fits, Murray st doesn't count but u can never discredit the athletes at Miami who were exposed. Louisville takes care of business, QB may struggle early being on the road for the first time but it's not like they are playing at the Doak or something.

I am a gator fan and I have been watching both teams for the fact that I live in Alabama but was raised in Gainesville. FSU will be hungry and they play loose and have fun. THOSE OF YOU WHO KEEP SAYING WHO HAVE FSU PLAYED, please look at how they have beaten each team and what the defense did, that is really important. If you beat teams 49-31 that's one set of rules but if you are beating teams 49-10 on avg. and those avg. of 10 pts are during the 2nd&3rd string that speaks volumes. Aub will score points but FSU will score more and cover. FSU will load the box and use Joyner alot of the edge force pressure at the mesh point. I expect for them to play press coverage on the outside because they trust their talent in the secondary and does not have Faith in the accuracy in Nick Marshall's arm as he has shown. I am pro SEC but during this bowl season the other big conferences who played the SEC are showing that the gap in talent is becoming narrower.

Baylor better be the most improved less penalized team in '14. Damn Ridiculous! And I never understood bowl selections but not that it should matter but it does matter when big teams play smaller conference schools it's bitter sweet. Jus thinks it kills the excitement for a higher team when the #6vs#15 Top 10 teams should only play in bowls but maybe that's what the playoff should cover
