I think this 7 minute OT is a great idea. The NHL should probably do this. What is there to lose, except fewer shootouts which can only be a good thing.
Hmnn, very interesting 3 on 3. THIS could be rather exciting. Why not just make all OT in the NHL 7 minutes with 3 on 3. Now, this would lead to some VERY interesting play... Can you imagine what a 3 on 2 PP would look like??? Wowowowowow. Verrry interesting.

Amaro should have been FIRED 2 years ago. Phillies ownership is VERY stupid for keeping him. Hey, believe it or not, Amaro and ownership are STILL reluctant to rebuild. What bleeping idiots. Billy Beane is the BEST GM is baseball. And Ruben Amaro is the WORST GM in baseball. That trade with the Cubs was a work of genius by Billy Beane. |

Nice value on Colombia as a pretty heavy Dog vs. Brazil.
I think Colombia wins this. Rodriguez and Ospina are super strong right now.

So, hopefully the Colombia bet was profitable for some folks here.
NOW,,, I think Colombia might be a nice dog play vs. Brazil. Good value here I think.

Hey, you are a nice sort of guy...hurling insults...I could insult a 4 letter word here against you, but I have more class than you do. For your information... No one knows for sure he will be suspended in time for Saturday's game Colombia vs. Uruguay. FIFA is investigating, and they SOMETIMES make fast decisions, especially in as important a situation as this. It depends largely on whether the so-called "appeals process" in FIFA is "dragged out" by Suarez. SUAREZ SHOULD BE BANNED IMMEDIATELY. Biting is a primitive behavior. Monkeys in the jungle bite other human beings. Civilized human beings do NOT BITE other human beings. Anyone who thinks otherwise believes in jungle behavior, I guess.

Luis Suarez had a great season in Europe. He is easily Uruguay's best player...one of the best in the world.
But he BIT an opponent near the end of the last game. Pretty primitive and stupid. So likely he will be suspended. Without him, Colombia is clearly the superior team, compared to Uruguay.

He took out a very classy farewell letter/advertisement to Flyers fans, and talke about his charity stuff that he now hopes to bring to Columbus.

Not sure this name change will make much difference, but it won't hurt. Could help. I lived in Phoenix for awhile, and hockey usually isn't the first sport that comes to mind in that city.

Looks like the Flyers are trying to build a winner in Colombus -- Bobrovsky, Hartnell, etc.
Hey, the Flyers have helped build a 2-time Stanley Cup Champion in Los Angeles....!

Rask just won the Vezina. I think he is the best goaltender in the world.
Apparently the Vezina voters agree with my opinion.

Here is something off the news wire. Whatever your political viewpoint, I think any hockey fans would have to agree that burning down hockey areas of the second-highest-quality hockey league in the world (second only to the NHL), namely, the KHL, is a deporable event...
A former NHL player in fact plays for this team in Ukraine...
Okay, here is article from MS NBC The situation in Ukraine has been a dire
one for months. The upheaval of the government, tensions along the
Ukrainian-Russian border and infighting among native Ukrainians has dominated
world headlines. Tuesday has been a particularly dark day in the conflict. Dozens have reportedly died
in the city of Donetsk in fighting between pro-Russian separatists and the
Ukrainian military over the last two days. In addition to the fighting,
buildings have been destroyed or damaged, including now the city's hockey arena. Earlier Tuesday, Druzhba
Arena, home of the KHL's HC Donbass, was burned and robbed by armed men. The
hockey club is calling the offenders “terrorists.” Here is some footage of the
burning building after fire fighters arrived to control the blaze (via SBNation.com): According to Donbass officials in a statement, aside from the fire, which
caused great damage, but not enough to destroy the building, the armed men
believed to be pro-Russian separatists tied up a security guard and stole many
items from the arena including televisions, communication equipment and
safe-deposit boxes. No one was hurt in the incident according to the team. HC Donbass has called the arena home since 2011. They are the
only KHL team in Ukraine and the roster includes former NHLer Ruslan Fedotenko,
who is the team's captain. In the team's statement about the fire, they denounced the group
known as Donetsk People's Republic (Translation via Google Translate): "Fans of the club and the entire hockey community deeply
angered by what had happened, and call those people who still sympathize with
the so-called DNR bandits terrorizing East Ukraine, think: Is this
"future" they want for themselves and their children." |
