People are so dumb its absolutely astrounding to me. No it wasn't rigged. Mahomes is a smart heads up QB for not scoring there.
in NFL Betting Also, putting 11 tired guys on defense in a clutch 4th quarter situation is a big risk of injury. Vs kneeling 3 times with no risk. Saving his defense from having to play an extra 10 snaps. |

Dolphins owner offered 100k per game Flores lost - PROOF NFL IS RIGGED
in Penalty Box We finally have as close to proof that the NFL is rigged as it's going to get. If Ross offering Flores 100k per loss turns out to be true, and can be proven in court, how will the gambling industry react? There will be proof that the NFL is rigged once and for all, even if it is only 1 team, you can imagine other teams are doing the same. I always thought the NFL is rigged people were conspiracy theorists. Turns out conpsiracy theories are just next week's news. |

Whether or not you want to admit it.... if the refs would have called a good game, Niners win

Remember when the refs forced the 49ers dominant run game to give up and just pass in the 4th quarter against a good Chiefs pass defense? Remember when the Refs prevented the 49ers from covering Tyreek Hill and injected lead in Sherman's knees against Watkins? I member.

The pick is the Chiefs -6.
The Chiefs haven't had a game where Mahomes, Hill, Watkins have played together the full game. The first quarter of the Jacksonville game was the last time they were all on the field together and the Chiefs looked unstoppable. The Titans defense is average-good, but they just lost their best corner for the year. The Titans are going to be playing without their top wide reciever, their top tight end, and their QB is Ryan Tannehill. The main threat will be Derrick Henry, who ran all over the Chiefs a few years ago in the playoffs. However, the Chiefs defense is getting better week to week, and it looks like Mahomes injury caused them to rally around each other and actually have to to their part instead of relying on the superstar QB. I predict 33-14 Chiefs, good luck to all playing today.

Who is KC losing to? Green Bay in Primetime at home? Bears on the road? Besides the Patriots, these are the toughest games remaning on their schedule. The Patriots game will be a great one and it could be two 11-1 teams playing in December.

This is my second pick of the NFL season. My last pick was a blowout: https://www.covers.com/forum/ViewThread/103370918/nfl-week-1---chiefs-vs-jaguars
Record: 1-0 This week I am looking at the Chargers vs the Lions. The Chargers have one of the top 5 rosters in the NFL. Phillip Rivers is a very good QB, their WR core is good, Hunter Henry is back, Ekeler is almost as talented as Gordon. The one big weakness on their roster is their offensive line, however they are still able to run the ball effectively. The Chargers defense is stacked. Unforunately for them, they lost their star safety Derwin James to injury for a few months. Surprisingly, in week 1they gave up over 200 yards to the Colts running game. I am convinced that this will not be a problem. The Colts have one of the best offensive lines, if not the best, in the game. Detriot's line has potential, but I am still skeptical. They are known for not having the best rushing attack, and in week 1 it did not shine. Thus, I don't think Detriot will be able to take advantage of the Chargers biggest defensive weakness. Detriot is kind of a laughingstock of the league. Matt Patricia is yet another of Bill Belichick's disciples to fail. The Chargers are simply on another level. They are easily a top 10 team in the league, and the Lions are a bottom 10 team. The Chargers are also a good road team - it is somewhat of a joke, but there is truth in it, that the Chargers have 16 road games a year, given they play in a city that doesn't care about them in a soccer stadium, and often fans of the road team are just as loud as the Chargers fans. So they are used to road environments more so than most teams. Also, The Lions fans are ready to deflate at a moments notice, and succumb to the self-pity that rooting for a sports team from the city of Detriot commands. The play is the Chargers -3. I got it Chargers -3 (Even). It makes sense to take the far better team against a team ready to fold in on itself.

The biggest news is the fact that the Jaguars are starting Will Richardson at left tackle. He's never played a snap in the NFL and never played left tackle in college.
Frank Clark is a top tier pass rusher and is going to feast on a new left tackle. Foles is not mobile. This isn't going to be pretty for Foles. |

Hello, this is my first NFL covers thread. I will be keeping track of my record and posting.
Record: 0-0 The KC Chiefs are coming off of a dissapointing loss in the AFC Championship game against the NE Patriots. The Chiefs defense gave up three 3rd and 10's in a row against the Patriots and gave up the game winning TD in overtime. The Chiefs have completely revamped their defense, and got rid of Bob Sutton, whose defensive scheme was seen as too complicated and passive. The Jaguars are coming off a dissappointing season. They signed Nick Foles and have some hope he might lead their offense above a bottom 5 unit in the league. Their defense is still probably a top 5 unit in the league, and the hope is Foles will be able to take advantage of it. The Jaguars are missing their starting LT, and their backup LT, so they are playing their 3rd string left tackle. The Chiefs were tied #1 in sacks last year, and this year they have Frank Clark, who will probably feast on the Jags depleted O-line, as well as Chris Jones in the middle. Nick Foles is not a mobile quarterback, and Jacksonville has arguably worst recieving unit in the league. On the other hand, Mahomes did not lose a step in the preseason and looked perfect, newly drafted Mecole Hardman rounds out their recieving corp, one of the fastest in the history of the NFL. The Jaguars defense got even better with newly drafted linebacker Josh Allen. He looks like a stud, and the Jaguars were lucky to draft him after the Giants reached for Daniel Jones and Allen fell into their lap. Most offenses are going to have a major problem with their elite corners, featuring Jalen Ramsey, who will be shadowing Tyreek Hill most of the day. Mahomes had his worst game of the year last year against the Jaguars, with a QBR in the 60's and throwing no TD and 2 picks. One big key here is Andy Reid. He always has a new wrinkle that he unleashes and it takes the league a few weeks to catch up. While it may be said he never wins big games late in the season, he always starts off hot. X-Factor: The weather. Many think the high 90's temperature favors the Jaguars. News flash - in Kansas City, it is in the 90's with high humidity for July and August and the beginning of September. It is hotter longer in Jacksonville, but considering the Jaguars (who did not even fully practice this week because of the hurricane) to be more used to the weather is ignoring the fact that KC training camp was in St. Joseph Missouri, under the hot, humid Midwest sun. I actually give the edge to the Chiefs here. Tyreek Hill is faster than any player, and he doesn't need to go 100% to beat corners, while corners have to go 100% to catch up with him, and you shouldn't be surprised to see Jalen Ramsey taking a few plays off and Tyreek Hill goes yard on a play or two. The pick here is the KC Chiefs -3.5. In my opinion, the line should be -7.5. -3.5 is a gift. |

+180 is terrible odds, they could lose easily to either the Rams or the Chiefs/Pats. I give them a 1 in 3 chance to win the Superbowl and would stay away from this bet from an EV perspective.

Spread or money line ? Thanks for the advice Btw I like Saints and Chiefs a lot to come out If you want to guarantee profit bet the Pats ML until you get near $2400, same with Rams. Or just let it ride bc Chiefs and Saints are most likely to win. Or go somewhere in between. Up to you on how much you need the money or if you want to let it ride.

I think the Chiefs should pick him up, they could use a good RB with ball catching skills

Does anyone know if Bovada pays out division-winner bets when they clinch? For instance the Rams will likely clinch in week 12 or 13. Or does Bovada wait until the end of the regular season or will they pay out soon after the winner is determined. Anyone know?

You guys won't believe my bad beat. In the 4th Q I took at -13.5 magic bet. 10 seconds left LA has the ball just running clock out Magic i up 15, LA guy decided with 4 seconds left to score for no reason. Sickening.

"If I feel like its going over I can buy out live for 110"
When will this be? If you bet the under at 217 and you feel like its going over, the line will reflect that. If it pops up to 221 are you going to live bet the over? Say you do, then the game ends at 219. You lose both bets. Or if the final score is 215 but you took the over at 221 because you felt the game would go over, then you would have won the original bet but since you live bet the over you end up losing $23. Just stick with the original bet man. This is how bookies eat, when they force you to make two bets that cancel each other out, they win no matter what.

Just bet what you think is going to happen. You're only betting $112.50, if you really need to split it and try to recover some money if the game is going over, then take the money and pay your rent bro.
