Good start to the week. Not as good of a game as I was expecting as Brees played like Dak and Dak played like... Dak.

4-6 Overall: 4-4 ATS / 0-2 on ML dogs / 0-0 Totals

Dallas Cowboys (+7.5) vs New Orleans Saints

Taking the home team has been very profitable on Thursday Night Football over the years (more so as home favorites than home dogs). The Saints also come into this game HUGE public favorites getting over 70% of the bets so I get the home team with the hook while fading the public? I'm in. Saints have been on fire for the last month with an average win margin of 22.4 points which is extremely impressive but how much longer can that continue? Cowboys are trending up right now, their defense is 12th against the pass and 3rd in points allowed so while I'm skeptical that the Cowboys can pull off the upset, I do believe we see a competitive game that the Saints win along the lines of a 31-27 or 30-24 game.

And two days after I said I would stay away...

Texas vs Oklahoma (Under 78)

This total opened under 60 just 8 weeks ago and we knew at that time, Oklahoma had an explosive offense. We also knew that Texas offense was improving. I don't think we really knew at the time how bad the Sooners defense was but what the line opening at 79 was suggesting is that the total was adjusted 18-20 points and that seems like an extreme overreaction considering Texas defense played extremely well the 1st 3 quarters of that game back in October. This has the feel of one of those "THERE'S NO WAY THIS STAYS UNDER" games that finds a way to stay Under. The public is gobbling up the over while the sharp money drives the Total down.

Anyone have experience with both? Currently with BOL but am open to making a move. Pros and Cons from those with experience using both would be apprecited. peace_5

Gonna stay away from the Texas/OU game. Tom Herman just commented this morning on QB Sam Ehlinger's shoulder health by calling it "not great". Ehlinger threw 2 INT's against Kansas (First INT's throw by Sam since week one) and overall didn't look accurate on a lot of his throws which tells me the throwing motion is bothering him. I'd like OU if I didn't have to lay the full TD. Almost want to lean Under thinking Texas tries to take the air out of the ball and limit how many possessions Kyler Murray and the Oklahoma offense get. peace_5

WVU to TTU would be a extremely lateral and maybe even slight step back in my opinion. Only way that happens in my mind is if Tortilla Tech throws BIG money at him which I'm not sure that's a smart business decision. Holgo doesn't make that program any better than it already is. Would really like Tech to look at Seth Littrell at North Texas.

We all know Tech can find players to play in that offense but until they get a defense geared towards slowing down and stopping the Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas, TCU, Baylor's of the Big 12 then they will continue to hover as a boarder bowl eligible team who might upset someone at home every few years.

I posted this in my week 13 thread as soon as I was able to jump on it.

Memphis (+9.5) @ UCF

I saw this line get down to Memphis +7 (-120) @ BOL after opening at UCF (-10) but currently is not on the board which is a little confusing but I like Memphis here for two reasons, they have given UCF all they can handle and more in their last two matchups (This will be their 4th matchup since 9/30/17) and now they face the Knights without their star QB who had that terrible knee injury before half in their win over USF. Memphis had them beat earlier this season going to halftime up 30-17 and they let it slip away going scoreless in the 2nd half of an ugly rain game. Milton will be sorely missed this week not only for his play on the field but his leadership and I think this is perfectly set up to be the week UCF can stop talking about the playoffs because they lose to Memphis who will be a team on a mission to get this monkey off their back (Memphis is 0-12 against UCF since 2005. Only win over UCF in school history? 1990)

27-27-4  / 7-5-1 Totals / 15-15-3 ATS / 5-7 ML Dogs (+100 or better)

Sitting at .500 but still up money wise thanks to some ML dogs. Really not pleased with my numbers so far and it seems I need to do some adjusting this offseason on my process to get on the right track going forward towards hitting 55% or better.

I had a feeling Ohio State might just have it in them which is why I stayed clear of that game and boy oh boy did Urban deliver a gut-wrenching can of whoop a$$ to Harbaugh. Really not sure how much longer John can stick with his power football and watch program changing QB's continue to pass on going to Michigan. Not saying he needs to give up on the run game by any means but if he doesn't adapt to how the game is changing soon, he will be left in the dust.

Herman will be a barking dog again this week... Does Texas have what it takes to knock off Oklahoma twice in one year? We know they will score points but can Texas' defense step up and keep OU under 42 points? They were on the right path the 1st go around until that 4th quarter meltdown that ensued. Jerry World has the game of the weekend in terms of pure entertainment. Red River Shootout Championship edition.

I could be missing one but I know that Boise State, Middle Tennessee State, Texas, and UCF are all playing a team they beat once already for their Conference Title. Have to be thinking at least two of those lose the rematch (UAB and Memphis would be my early guesses to avenge their losses.)

more to come later...

Lamar (+27) @ Northern Iowa

Normally I'd love to fade a small TX school going that far north this time of year but UNI plays in a dome. 27 just feels like too many points.
