Can't argue with that, he is useless, just pointing out the staggering number of injuries, even though ironically that was the only reason he was still on the active roster, and now he goes down because he is also prone to injuries.

Prior to tonight’s game, the Yankees placed 1B Greg Bird on the 10-day IL (retroactive to 4/14) with a left plantar fascia tear and selected INF Mike For.

This makes 12 players on the IL for the Yankees, enough for this:

CF Aaron Hicks
RF Giancarlo Stanton
C Gary Sanchez
1B Greg Bird
3B Miguel Andujar
2B Troy Tulowitzki
SS Didi Gregorius
LF Jacoby Ellsbury
P Luis Severino

RP Ben Heller
LP Jordan Montgomery
CP Dellin Betances

What a brutal start to the season, FFS

Diamondbacks are 1-10 in their last 11 games with Winters behind home plate.

We had the same match-up in SD, when Greinke homered twice and Dbacks won, we should see the opposite today, right?

BOL with the plays.

Yankees, gun to my head... Tanaka has been solid this season and if this goes to the bullpens, NY has all the big arms available, just Chapman used yesterday, tomorrow they have an off day, so everybody is good to go for today's game.

Looks like he picked up from where he left it last year, when he went 2-0 with a 0.79 ERA over his final five outings of the season.

I'm on the Rays ML, so this will probably go to the pens...

Now lets talk about the psychological aspect, does anyone believe he doesn't care about the situation? That it doesn't take a toll on him? He doesn't strike me as being a sociopath.

In the series in NY, the YES broadcast said that last season, the hitting coach for the O's said Davis refused to chance his approach or do anything differently.

I dunno, this is a strange situation to be in, giving the amount of money he is getting paid, for a sport nevertheless, bashing him for his lack of performance, seems like the normal outcome...

He gets 23 mil this year... his contract may end up being one of the biggest blunders in sports history, buuuuuut he has a chance to go down in history, with a great achievement:

Chris Davis hitless streak reaches 37 ABs (w/ 24 Ks in that time). Only nine away from the record, held by Eugenio Velez (2010-2011).

Verlander was dull yesterday. Today, with Cole toeing the rubber, Kulpa behid the dish, and winds blowing in at 16mph I think we get different results.

The Rangers are a left handed heavy lineup. Cole this Spring allowed a .091 BA and .43 whip vs LHH's. In his first outing .222/.86

Last year vs LHH's, 2.08 era, .162 BA, .96 whip

Shin-Soo Choo is the only dude I'm worried about. But he's been ice cold 3/15 with 6 k's no walks.

^This is not a write up^

Looks like the disclaimer didn't work, brutal way to lose a bet, also ironic, lefties did the most damage...

I had Astros to close a parlay, painful game to follow, to get shotout by Minor is ridiculous. Astros bats are cold, Altuve chasing pitches, Brantley out in 2 pitches max, 2 GIDP, bleah...

Congrats on the K plays.

Under was the right call, don't see this one blowing up from 1-1 in the 5th...

But under should be considered in Yankees games, for the next games, they are losing guys left and right, after Stanton and Andujar, Tulo went out with a calf injury and it doesn't look good, so major issues, hitting wise, for the Yankees in the near future...

BOL on the season sac

Looking through the forum, it's kinda funny to see how us degenerates are so enthusiastic, about the opening day, because sooner or later we are all gonna be jaded, betting baseball can be a real drag, on the long run...

BOL with the plays sac.

Verlander’s $66M, 2 year deal is rightfully a record salary at $33M per year.

What do you guys think of this? Houston gives 36 Verlander two more years, so he will be 38 when his contract runs out, instead of signing the amish mafia? That's a lot of money and trust, put in Verlander...
