The problem is if your the Flames, Mike Smith played great again and you still lose 6-2.

Really thought the Flames would come out with a better performance in Game 2 and put the nerves behind them having captured game 1.

Big problem for Calgary is that Mike Smith has come up with 2 really really good games and the bubble is about to burst.  I don't see him carrying the Flames on his back for the entire series.  Production needs to step up big time.  Game 3 huge.  Does the Calgary offense produce?

5-2 Av's, game 3!!!

Hope NE doesn't win the toss.

Because if they do, they will eat the first 7:30 of the quarter, and be up 7-0 and then Goff will come onto the field and do a 3 and out and NE will be right back in business.

Oilers stink on day games on the weekend.

They haven't played since the break.

TALBOT is starting.

Koskinen will be holding the stick a little tighter with that contract extension.  Pressure.

However, Mr. McDavid tells the media yesterday that "we can't win the 6-5 games, we need to win the 3-2 or 2-1 games"

The city is in a ruckus, rightly so.  They want Chiarelli's head.  God forbid the mighty Koskinen allows 4 tonight.

Wont happen.  Players buy in for 1 night.

Can't do the -1.5 with Talbot starting.

Pefer the OVER tender.

Mikko has earned top spot.

Risky move putting the shaky Talbot in.  I consider this a must win for the Oil.  Keep the progress going.

Leaning over 5.5 the play now.  Cant trust Talbot to win it in regulation.

Battle of Alberta, and look at the 2 goalies who will be sitting on the bench.an_roll_laugh

Personally, I can't stand Talbot, but would go with him tonight.

Regardless, this is a STATEMENT game for the Oilers.  McDavid has owned the Flames since coming into the league, expect to see speed and emotion against his provincial rival, which will fire the boys up.  Lucic also has a chance to get out of the doghouse tonight, expect a very physical game.

Flames get down early far too many times  and wait for the 3rd to roll around.  Tonight when that happens, expect McDavid to roll up the score with the odd man rushes and put this one to bed.  The only way Mike Smith comes in is if the Flames get down a couple in the first 5 minutes.  I think Peters will make Rittich ride this thing out, even if it means giving up 5 or 6.

Lets hope and pray Koskinen plays half decent.an_wink

Flames last 3 on road have gone under.

Start of 3 games in 4 nights, tomorrow in Buffalo.

Brutal against the Pens but respectable against Washington.  I feel both goalies due for a decent game.  Flames will look to keep it simple and back to basics and not continue to spiral.  Gut tells me shot totals may not be that high either.

Wow, way way too much love for the Blue Bombers on here.  I don't ever see Matt Nichols leading a CFL team to a Grey Cup, just my opinion.  In the end, he will show his true colours and prove what he always has been, a medicore CFL quarterback.

Expect him to come out struggling tonight, probably have some rust from the bye week, throw a couple pics.an_razz

Scattered snow and cold here today.  Been the norm the past couple weeks.

I see a lot of dropped balls and no FG attempts past 45 yards.

Under looks good.

For what its worth:  Reilly under the weather.

Still expected to start this weekend.

Last time I write about Johnny, couldn't even put up numbers against the Double Blue, and made bad decisions to boot, this after running his mouth why he wasn't playing a week back.

Hope he is watching Mike Reilly this afternoon, a proven winner and fighter.  Nice day in Ottawa with little wind.  Big numbers this afternoon, always an adventure with the Eskimos D.  Never out of it with Reilly though.

Thanks!!

I'm thinking this one goes over.  Saw an interview with Manziel last night, he is poised for a really really good game here.

Nichols a gunslinger, he will continue to throw, throw, throw.  Which is good and bad.  TURNOVERS mean POINTS!!an_roll_laugh

Wow!!!  I'm looking forward to this one Friday night.

2 guys at the helm and it's time to put up or shut up!!  I was never a fan of Matt Nichols to begin with and personally think he is nothing but a medicore QB.  Unfortunately, they're a dime a dozen in the CFL!!  O'Shea should be shown the door for continuing to go to war with this guy.  Losing to Manziel Friday night could be the final straw should it happen.

But, just as much pressure on Manziel here too.  He got tossed into the ring prematurely, showed a little bit of flash, he's been on the sidelines long enough and has had the reps in practice, its time for a pretty decent performance here, would be disappointed if it didn't happen!!

If I'm setting the total, first number I think is 54!!

These 2 teams have a tendancy to leave lots of points on the field.  But, not today.  Beautiful very warm September day in steeltown.

This one will be in the mid 30's by half-time.

Injuries, weather, trash talk......we got it all on Saturday night.

I think it was last year when I posted a thread stating quite a few of these second back to backers go UNDER and someone roasted me, lol.

Well, injuries are an issue for this one, weather forecast looks the pits and how mobile BO gonna be plays a major factor.

I think the footing will be an issue and if its wet I honestly would be surprised if the total breaks 40.  Key stat.....check to see if BO is wearing the knee brace!!!
