Monday: 2-2, +0.05 units and a rainout

Season: 132-148, -13.89 units

Phillies +155 vs Nationals (BetDSI) - better team, this line is just way too high

Braves +110 vs Mets (BetDSI) - the better team as a home dog and given their ERAs it's hard to even argue that the Mets have the better starter

Marlins +1.5 runs +116 vs Cardinals (BetDSI)

   Royals/Mariners over 9 +100 (BetDSI)

Yesterday: 0-8, -8.05 units

Season: -13.44 units

Wow, worked my way from over 14 units down for the year to just a bit over 5 then give almost all of it back in one awful day

   Rays +115 vs Yankees.

   Phillies +143 vs Nationals

   Braves -135 vs Mets

   Astros +104 vs Reds

All from BetDSI.com

Adding:

Rockies -1.5 runs +110 vs Padres (BetDSI) -- Padre starter is pretty bad, could be a Coors Field blowout.

Giants +140 vs Brewrers (BetDSI) -- just feel the Brewers are too big a favorite here.

Dodgers/Cubs over 8 -105 (BetDSI) -- I know how great Ryu has been, and Quintana is a solid starter too.   But you have a team that scores about 5.4 runs per game on the road on average vs a team that scores about 5.6 runs per game at home.  That's 11 runs and it would take a 7 run game to lose this bet.   And neither bullpen is great.   They both have bullpen ERAs over 4.   So despite the quality starting pitching I have to look at over 8 here.

Yesterday:  4-2, +2.04 units

Season:  130-138, -5.39 units

Orioles +140 vs Red Sox (BetDSI) -- John Means has been fantastic for the Orioles

Tigers +150 vs Indians (BetDSI) -- Turnbull, another young pitcher who has pitched great and is getting a good # as a home dog

Marlins +112 vs Rays (BetDSI) -- I haven't been fading Archer despite his poor season due to his excellent history, but he's pitched badly enough for long enough now that I have to conclude that he's no good this year

Angels +125 vs Rays (BetDSI) -- another good young pitcher at plus money.

Rangers +157 vs Reds (BetDSI) -- sensing a theme today.   All five bets have been relatively young starting pitchers having good seasons and getting plus money.

Yesterday:  3-2, +1.69 units
Season:  122-127, -5.65 units

Rays -1.5 runs +114 vs A's (BetDSI) -- Why the runline?   Because of the Rays 41 wins, 37 have been by 2 or more runs.   So if you like them to win a game you might as well play the runline instead of the money line and get the better payoff.

Indians -133 vs Reds (BetDSI) -- Plesac looks really good in 3 starts now and the Indians are the better team at home.

Rangers/Red Sox over 9.5 -105 (BetDSI) -- two mediocre starters, two good offenses, two below average bullpens.

   Cardinals/Marlins over 8 -110 (BetDSI)

OK, I can't find the post I made just over a half hour ago to respond to.

I posted my record:   Yesterday :  4-2, +2.16 units, Season:  115-120, -6.53 units

And I posted 3 plays:  Rays -128, Yankees -130, and Mets/Rockies over 8 -115 (all from BetDSI).

Now, adding:

Orioles +173 vs Astros (BetDSI) -- Orioles putting up better #s vs lefties than righties, and playing very competitive baseball on this road trip.   Worth a shot at this #.

   Nationals/Padres over 8 -110 (BetDSI)

SteveA2009
SteveA2009

Adding:

Yankees -130 vs Indians (BetDSI) -- just plain the far better team with better starting pitcher

Orioles +1.5 runs +114 vs Astros (BetDSI) -- Orioles last 3 losses have been by 1 run, and they have good #s vs lefties.  Astros starting a rookie lefty here, still missing Altuve, Correa, and Springer from the lineup.

Pirates +154 vs Brewers (BetDSI) -- Lyles has pitched very well, worth a look at this number.

Cubs +104 vs Cardinals (BetDSI) -- Better team, at home, and Cardinals have poor #s vs lefties and a very poor track record overall against Lester.

Yesterday:  5-3, +2.61 units

Season:  111-118, -8.69 units

Rangers +123 vs A's, Game 1 (BetDSI) -- The Rangers are the better team, at home.   WIth a great home record.   Not sure why they are the underdog here.   They are starting an unknown rookie making his ML debut, but the A's are starting Paul Blackburn, who has been out of the majors for nearly two years due to injury.   If Blackburn was in mid-season 2017 form that might be one thing, but I think he is a big question mark until he shows he is healthy  again.   With what I consider a question mark on the mound for both teams, I am more than happy to get the better team with a great home record at plus money.

White Sox -1.5 runs +105 vs Royals (BetDSI) -- Violating one of my personal rules here by taking a bad team as a pretty hefty road favorite.   But Giolito is on an incredible roll, you can make a case that he is the best pitcher in baseball for hte last month or so.   And the Royals have pathetic #s vs lefties:  they hit .226 with a .645 OPS, compared to .254/.752 vs righties.

Yesterday:  3-1, +2.17 units

Season:  106-115, -11.30 units

Tonight, all of these from betDSI.com:

Phillies -115 vs Reds  -- better team, at home, don't see any pitching edge for Cincinnati that would make this so low

Diamondbacks +113 vs Blue Jays -- once again the better team, Jays just 3-7 in Stroman's starts

Rockies +171 vs Mets -- this is just too high

Marlins +163 vs Braves -- hate to go against Siroka but Urena has been very good lately, line is too high

   Yankees -123 vs Indians

Rays +100 vs Red Sox -- JD Martinez out of the Boston lineup; Chirinos has been very good for Tampa

White Sox +109 vs Royals -- once again getting the better team as a dog AND getting to fade Homer Bailey

A's +100- vs Rangers -- Rangers not so great vs lefties
