It is expensive!  Hotel and rental car rates are jacked up beyond all reason.

I've been going to spring training, both in FL and AZ, on and off since the 80s.  The best thing is the ball parks are small so no matter where you sit, you're getting a good seat.  Some of the newer parks in AZ are palaces, like the Dodger/White Sox facility at Camelback Ranch, and are also expensive.

For me, and an Indians' fan, the fun is looking at the new players and prospects.  My buddies and I could tell that Austin Jackson last year was gonna be a big help.

And as far as prospects are concerned, you can wonder over to the minor league fields and take a look at a bunch of 'em.  Once in a while you can even strike up a conversation with a scout or two...

Have to agree with T6.  Ownership decided not to spend money this offseason.  They lost production with Santana leaving and really have not replaced him (I see Alonzo as more of part time player).  Lots of lingering injuries are also a concern with Brantley, Salazar and Guyer.  Who knows about Zimmer?  Heritage this morning posts a season win total of 94.5.  I see them topping out at about 90 which will probably get them to Division championship.

Thanks for all you do.  I believe your current strategy of increasing your bets by a percentage smaller than the growth of the bankroll is a conservative one.  I am following yr lead on this.  That's just my opinion, though, and you should do whatever makes you feel comfortable.

I know little about hockey, but i do know that new CBJ coach Tortorella expects max effort and won't accept excuses.  I'll start a 6 game chase on Thursday for 1 unit on a Blue Jax win...

great work, Dan!  Know it won't always be this easy, so it's great to build up that bankroll early...

Keep in mind that craps, like all casino games, is a negative expectation game.  No matter what strategy you use, over time, the casino always will win.  Doesn't mean you can't hit a hot streak, even over a series of visits.  So how do I make my money last longer?  By following much of the advice listed above.  Stay away from the center bets (a very occasional hardway bet is the most I'll do).  And make your odds bets as big as you are comfortable with.  Remember also that you never go broke taking profits...
