Who Will Win Sunday's Autotrader EchoPark Automotive 500?
Favorites to Bet
Kevin Harvick (+250)
Harvick has 12 straight Top-10 finishes at Texas. Among those are four Top-2 finishes in his last six starts there. In the fall race, he's won each of the last three years.
Kyle Busch (+1,100)
Busch has three straight Top 10's at Texas and trends say he will win. 10th to seventh to fourth to....first? Four of his last five starts have seen him finish in the Top 10 in the Lone Star State.
Joey Logano (+750)
He has eight Top-7 finishes in his last nine Texas starts.
Long Shots to Bet
Kurt Busch (+2,000)
Busch has seven straight Top 10s in the Lone Star State, and nine in the last 10 years. The only reason for these odds are that his last Top 5 was 2010.
Clint Bowyer (+3,500)
Bowyer has four straight Top 11s in Texas overall.
Erik Jones (+1,800)
Might be the top sleeper. Jones has six straight Top-10 finishes at Texas including three fourth place runs in his last five overall. Also, in five Xfinity Series tries on the 1.5 -mile track, he’s finished in the Top 4 in each, including two wins.
Aric Almirola (+2,800)
With Stewart-Haas Racing, Almirola has four straight Top-10 finishes including a seventh-place run last spring, a runner up last fall and 10th this past spring.
Betting The Texas Motor Speedway
Five of the last six winners have come from a Top-10 starting position.
Each of the three manufacturers have won the last three Texas Cup races too.
In all but two races in the stage era has a driver not won a stage and the race itself. In fact, five of the last seven Texas races saw the eventual winner win or finish second in the second stage at that.
Stat to Watch
There’s been a different winner in all but one race on 1.5-mile tracks this season. If we get another new winner on the season for 1.5-mile standards, then Ryan Blaney, Kyle Busch, Martin Truex Jr., Erik Jones, Aric Almirola, Clint Bowyer, Matt Kenseth, William Byron, Jimmie Johnson or Alex Bowman are your best bets to do.
