Poor shooting has us playing the Under, and the NBA best bets you need to make on Monday

Dec 2, 2019 |

Six games tip off across the NBA this evening and poor shooting from two teams has us playing the Under in the late contest.

Monique Vag breaks down the odds for that game and much more as she brings you the best betting notes, props and predictions from around the league to help you win your wagers on the hardcourt.

SUNNY SKIES AHEAD

Despite only winning three of their most recent ten games, the Suns are still 4.5-point favorites as they travel to Charlotte. The Hornets have been better defensively over their most recent four games, but still come in surrendering 114.6 points per game at home.

With Phoenix averaging 114.7 ppg on offense, expect them to push the pace versus a Hornets team that likes to play slow. Take the Suns on the 4.5-point spread.

SLOW JAZZ

The Philadelphia 76ers are 5.5-point favorites as they host the Jazz. Utah is coming off a road loss in Toronto where they gave up 77 first-half points to the Raptors. Slow starts have plagued the Jazz all season as they average a league low 46.7 ppg during the first half of games.

With the Jazz playing back-to-back road games, expect fatigue to play a factor and their early offensive struggles to continue. Take the 76ers on the first-half spread laying 3-points.

A LONE BRIGHT SPOT ON OFFENSE

The Hawks are 6.5-point favorites as they host the Warriors with the game total set at 222. The Hawks have lost 10 straight games and have only won twice in nine games at home. The Warriors have lost eight of their most recent ten games. Golden State has not scored more than 114 points in any game throughout that stretch and has been held to 100 or less in six of those contests.

However, the Warriors' Glen Robinson III has shot well from beyond the arc recently making two or more 3-point shots in four of his most recent five games. With the Hawks ranking 22nd in opponent 3-point percentage allowing 36.9 percent from deep, bet Over his points total of 12.5.

LAMB TO LIGHT IT UP

Last night the Grizzlies snapped their six game losing streak with a road win versus the Timberwolves. Today Memphis plays the second game of a back-to-back this time hosting the Pacers.

The Grizzlies have really struggled defending opposing shooting guards this season surrendering an average of 27.3 points on 45.2 percent shooting. They are giving up an extremely high 3.7 made 3-point shots to that position.

Expect an efficient performance from Jeremy Lamb who has been good since coming back from injury and has scored no fewer than 14 points in five straight games. Bet Over his points total of 16.5.

UGLY SHOOTING

The Chicago Bulls hope to snap their three game losing streak as they travel to Sacramento as 5-point underdogs. The Bulls have been held under 95 points in two of their most recent three contests. The Kings have had their fair share of offensive struggles as well, scoring no more than 106 points in their most recent five games and being held under 100 in three of those contests.

With the Bulls dead last in shooting percentage at 42.3, and the Kings shooting only 44.7 percent on their home court, expect another night where both teams struggle offensively. Take the game total Under 212.5.
