Stop me if you’ve heard this before: Bryson DeChambeau is near the top of the leaderboard at a PGA Tour event. He highlighted our golf betting fix in Round 1 of the Rocket Mortgage Classic.
While Doc Redman, Scott Stallings and Kevin Kisner lead the way at 7-under, it's still DeChambeau, with yet another impressive round, who tops the betting odds board as the huge +250 favorite.

Bryson DeChambeau over Patrick Reed & Hideki Matsuyama Round 2 Three Ball (+110)
Well, this is basically the only bet you can make on DeChambeau right now that has any value. He personally torpedoed that value after a six-under 66 featuring some of the most jaw-dropping drives you will ever see. Those drives give DeChambeau a ridiculous advantage over the rest of the field, and if he can just get his short iron play a little sharper over the weekend, it wouldn’t be shocking to see him run away with this tournament. Reed and Matsuyama are about as strong of competition DeChambeau could have in his group at this tourney, but he’s just on a level not many golfers are at right now.
Emiliano Grillo over Adam Hadwin & Bo Hoag Round 2 Three Ball (+175)
Grillo had a tough weekend at the Travelers Championship, but he didn’t let that carry over to this week. The Argentinian let his irons do the talking in Round 1 and only Chase Seiffert gained more strokes on approach shots than Grillo. That’s been the theme all season for the 27-year-old, who ranks 11th on Tour in SG: approach. The result was a 6-under 66 and sitting just one back of the leaders and that was while getting basically nothing out of his putter. If he can even do just a little more with his flat stick, he should top this group once again.
Tony Finau Round 2 Score Under 68.5 (-112)
While Finau posted a pretty good 69 in Round 1 Thursday, he was just a couple small mistakes from going well under this number. However, the round was Finau’s sixth consecutive in the 60s, and 10 of his 11 rounds since the restart have been 69 or lower. As mentioned in our Rocket Mortgage Classic preview, Finau is an excellent ball striker and has a well-rounded game (he ranks eighth in strokes gained: tee-to-green) which is suited very well for the Detroit GC. Additionally, this feels like a nice way to hedge on Finau as we also took him to win the tourney.
