Premier League Betting Action June 25
Chelsea vs Manchester City
UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET THURSDAY: At Paddy Power sportsbooks in the United Kingdom, Manchester City is a -137 favorite and Chelsea a +325 home underdog, with draw +300. And interestingly, a Chelsea upset in this 3:15 p.m. ET start would clinch the Premier League title for runaway leader Liverpool, its first in 30 years. "So although Man City are the clear favorites for the game, we are seeing plenty of bets on the home side – no doubt they are optimistic Liverpool fans," Paddy Power's Amy Jones said. "Also interestingly, should Chelsea fail to win, that leaves them just 2 points ahead of Man United in the race for top four."
Manchester City is second and Chelsea fourth in the Premier League, with 63 and 51 points, respectively. But with league leader Liverpool already at 83, the rest of the top-tier teams are playing for second at this point.
Although Man City is on the road, the squad is a -125 favorite at PointsBet USA, with Chelsea +320 and draw +300 for a 3:15 p.m. ET start. With the game still three days out, betting is light so far, Eichner said.
Southampton vs Arsenal
UPDATE 10:30 A.M. ET THURSDAY: This remains a very evenly matched game at Paddy Power, with Southampton and Arsenal both at +162 and draw +240. "The bookies certainly can’t split these two, in terms of the odds, though the punters are putting their money behind Saints," Jones said of the home squad in this 1 p.m. ET match. "Danny Ings is in excellent form, and, let’s be honest, the entire Arsenal team are in very poor form. So we’re definitely seeing more money on the home team."
Arsenal sits 10th with 40 points and Southampton 14th with 37, and the PointsBet USA trading team expects a tight match here. Arsenal is a modest +160 favorite, and host Southampton is a tick back at +165, with little action to report so far. The draw is +240.

Tottenham vs West Ham
UPDATE 2:20 P.M. ET TUESDAY: Just under an hour before play starts, DraftKings Sportsbook is deluged to Tottenham in this match. Tottenham, a -150 home favorite, is drawing 91 percent of tickets and 94 percent of money against +425 underdog West Ham. Draw is +285 at DraftKings.
Tottenham is a solid -155 home favorite at PointsBet USA, as it tries to improve on its eighth-place standing in the Premier League. West Ham, a bottom feeder at 17th in the 20-team EPL, is +400 for this 3:15 p.m. ET match, with draw +300.
“Tottenham drawing about 90 percent of tickets and money,” PointsBet USA’s Patrick Eichner said Monday afternoon, noting the match was getting more early action than the day’s other contest, Leicester City vs. Brighton.

Liverpool vs Crystal Palace
UPDATE 12:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: No surprise, it's all league-leading Liverpool at the DraftKings Sportsbook betting window, as the -315 chalk takes 89 percent of tickets and 92 percent of money bet. Visiting Crystal Palace is up to a +950 underdog, with draw at +425.
UPDATE 11:55 P.M. ET TUESDAY: As with other books, league-leading Liverpool is a hefty favorite of -400 at DraftKings and is getting plenty of interest against +1,100 underdog Crystal Palace. Liverpool is drawing 85 percent of tickets and and 89 percent of money bet on this 3:15 p.m. ET match.
In the final match of a Wednesday soccer smorgasbord, runaway Premier League leader Liverpool is already a sizable -425 home chalk against ninth-place Crystal Palace (+1,200), with draw at +500.
“It’s extremely one-sided on Liverpool, with only a few fliers on Crystal Palace,” PointsBet USA’s Eichner said of a 3:15 p.m. ET meeting.
Manchester United vs Sheffield United
UPDATE 12:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: Shortly before this match kicks off, it's still all Manchester United at DraftKings. Man U is a -250 favorite and drawing 85 percent of tickets and 92 percent money bet. Sheffield United sits at +800 and draw +350.
UPDATE 11:55 P.M. ET TUESDAY: Manchester United has 46 points to sit fifth in the EPL, and Sheffield United is just two points back in eighth place. But oddsmakers and bettors aren't expecting much of a match. Man U is -240 at DraftKings, Sheffield United is +750 and draw is +335, and Man U is getting almost all the tickets and money – 85 percent and 93 percent, respectively.
Manchester United, currently fifth in the EPL table, is -240 at PointsBet USA for a 1 p.m. ET match on its home pitch. Sheffield United sits at +750 and draw +325. Betting isn’t quite as tilted as the Liverpool-Crystal Palace match, but it’s not far from it.
“Man U accounting for all the risk, with about 80 percent of the bets and 90 percent of the money,” Eichner said of early action.
Newcastle vs Aston Villa
UPDATE 12:30 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: At DraftKings, this match has the closest thing to two-way action – or three-way, as it were – but even then, Newcastle is seeing 55 percent of tickets and 71 percent of dollars as a +138 home favorite. Aston Villa (+215) is landing 17 percent of bets and 13 percent of money, and draw (+220) is getting 29 percent of bets and 17 percent of the cash.
UPDATE 11:55 P.M. ET TUESDAY: In one of four 1 p.m. ET matches Wednesday, PointsBet USA's Patrick Eichner said there's good two-way action here. Newcastle is a +135 favorite, with Aston Villa +210 and draw +240.
