The Boston Red Sox weren't the only big winners Wednesday night.

The BoSox may have been awarded the Commissioner's Trophy for winning the World Series, but one Covers Contest user was awarded some cold-hard cash as the winner of the King of Covers MLB Playoffs Contest.

The Grand Prize of $1,000 was awarded to Jhoan Emmanuel Matos Carvajal - better known as username elsapite - who finished the MLB postseason with a 40-12-1 record (76.92 percent) for 13,270 units picking winners and totals.

"(It) has been an unforgettable experience to enter and win the MLB playoffs contest," Jhoan said via email.

A native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Jhoan is a 26-year-old student whose favorite sport is, appropriately, baseball.

User bootqt finished second with a record of 45-19-2 (70.31 percent) for 12,480 units and will receive $500 cash for their efforts.

Finishing third was user jimmywine, who had a record of 44-19-3 (69.84 percent) for 12,304 units and will take home $250.

Contestants that finished No. 4 through No. 20 get exclusive Covers Hats.
