The biggest race of the year, in terms of viewership and circumstance, is here as F1 heads to the Circuit of the Americas for the United States Grand Prix.

While the US GP will be a boom in the F1 betting market, the race's stakes won't quite match that after Max Verstappen officially clinched the 2022 Drivers' Championship at the previous race.

With Verstappen crowned and four races left this season, let's take a look at the full United States Grand Prix odds and check out our United States Grand Prix picks for more.

United States Grand Prix favorites

Max Verstappen (-275)

It was rain-delayed, then rain-soaked, and finally, entirely unclear, but after a long three-plus hours, Max Verstappen was named the World Drivers' Champion following his win at the Japanese Grand Prix two weeks ago.

There are no stakes at hand anymore but Verstappen is still a heavy favorite at COTA and understandably so, amid an absolutely dominant stretch of races.

Carlos Sainz (+450)

Sainz has seen his odds jump from +1,600 to +450 after securing pole position on Saturday.

The Spaniard has one race win this season which came at the 150th running of the British Grand Prix, as a part of eight podium finishes this season.

Lewis Hamilton (+700)

Lewis Hamilton's incredible record of at least one race win in every season of his Formula 1 career is under great threat, with Hamilton and his team winless in a 2022 hitting its final stages. Hamilton is third on the odds board at +700, but it's difficult to see Mercedes outperforming Ferrari or Red Bull here.

Understanding F1 betting odds

The most popular way to bet on Formula 1 odds is by simply picking the winner of a particular race. Other popular F1 betting options include which car/constructor will win and whether or not a particular race car driver will end up on the podium with a Top-3 finish.

F1 race odds usually look like this:

  • Sergio Perez +1,400

This means that on a $100 bet, you'll stand to profit $1,400 if Perez wins that particular race. If one driver is especially dominant, you might see a minus sign (-) ahead of that driver's odds like this:

  • Max Verstappen -120

This means that you would need to bet $120 to win $100 on Verstappen winning the race.
