He is pitching much better lately, but he is stil 0-4 on the season. His team lost 3 straight. At +170 we are finally getting some value with the Mets. The Cardinal offense is colling off considerably, and Lynn saw it first hand how it feels when you allow 2 runs in 7 innings and lose the game in his last start. I firmly believe that Cardinals are not as good as their record.
Mets +170 Mets to score first +100 Mets to lead after 5 innings +160 Mets +1.5 -130 Mets +2.5 -240

Three straight wins for Tampa in which they trailed in the bottom of 7th. With 4 straight series against divisional rivals coming up, I can see this Tampa team not really carrying about a sweep possibility against the Padres. They are sending Hernandez to mound and the guy is 5-19 in his last 24 decisions, going back to when he was known as Fausto Carmona. Stultz is starting for San Diego and Padres won 9 of his 10 starts against non divisional opponents since he joined that team. He is 10-3 in his last 13 decisions and San Diego is 13-4 in last 17 games he started. I believe the situation is good for SD to pick up a dog win but I will pay the extra vig in this close series and take:
SAN DIEGO +1.5 -159

Major come-from-behind win for Baltimore yesterday. Down 6-0 they kept on fighting and won the game 9-6 in extra innings. That was a great win, but it should have never played like that in the first place, with J.Hammel (5-1) leading a 21-14 team against Pelfrey and his sky-high era leading a .500 team. So, basically Baltimore won the game they were supposed to win, except they had to work extremely hard to get a win they were supposed to get easily. That is why I expect them to be in letdown mode today with a young pitcher comming off the DL leading the way.
MINNESOTA +100
