^I see it. But, Boldin is on a hot streak....and I just see a similarity between this game and the Seattle Pittsburgh game where Bettis was going to retire. Ref's were just giving plays to Pittsburgh. I actually see Ref's siding with Ravens more so than San Fran unlike what people are saying here. Atlanta proved they are not second half team by any means with allowing Seattle to come back and also Kap and Niners....On the other hand Ravens showed they are a monster 2nd half team, but I do see your point with the run. Atlanta's run game was non existent. And with a Ravens team being predictable with 1st and 2nd down runs, with a rare PA play... I can definitely see the niners shutting down the run. But, today the Ravens did PA on 2nd downs and utilized to their advantage to go back to run successfully. I'm just at a stalemate. I'll have to give it more thought. Lean is San Fran... but that could change...

I see that they've played the redskins and the eagles and lost. But, the eagles was early in the season. And I believe Ray Lewis was out when they play the redskins? Any thoughts?

^Yeah I still think this spread is a little off. I think ATL proved themselves with a win against a desperate Saints team. Carolina just lost to an emotional KC team but KC still sucks. Before that Carolina beat a HORRIBLE eagles team. The Bucs playing ATL close sounds about right even before the game was played. The Bucs are way better than the struggling panthers and I would say that ATL wants Homefield advantage and have gotten their act together. The only thing that concerns me is the 5 ints that Brees threw.... NOW was that Drew Brees or the ATL's D stepping it up. Drew Brees is a fututre hall of famer so I'll give it to the 49ers and ATL for picking him off....So, I feel good about ATL's D against a struggling CAM....LETSSSS GO ATL!

^I agree, some people think that this is a game that ATL will not play because they already clinched their division but they forget about home field advantage. They'll come to play.

Which side of the fence are you guys on this one? Carolina just an emotional game at KC and before that they beat a crappy Eagles team. On the other hand ATL beat a New Orleans team in a must win for New Orleans. Will Matty Ice come to play in Carolina to get Homefield Advantage???? Will this one not be as close as the last meeting they had in ATL.....Help me out here. My lean is ATL -3.5 and buying the hook!

No on could have predicted that without Mendenhall and with a Batch that the Steelers could have beat the Ravens....the pressure at the line looked like crap and the secondary for the ravens also looked like crap. Flacco had no field awareness....they made Batch look like a laser point QB.... Wallace and Miller were always freaking open!!!! No matter what crazy things happen. I bet NBA and when I see the Suns get blown out by 40 points, and the Lakers get scored on by 40 just in the 4th ... it boggles my mind. D12 goes 9 for 21 at the line.....Well let's move onto this week. I am never going to bet against the Steelers defense. Flacco was 3 and out 3 and out most game.

I bet on this game before the tragic news.... but boy o boy I wish I could take it off. I am obviously on Carolina. But, I really hate betting on games with some more important than betting and money... Life....I'm not being sappy... its just the truth.

^To me it looks like it's both ways....I just don't see the value in in Saints +6.5 vs Saints +3.5 ... I see more value in Atlanta -1/2 vs Atlanta -3.5???? If I were to take the Saints I'd just take them +3.5, makes no sense to take the 6.5.... Thoughts

To me the +6.5 is more so like the +3.5, So i really don't get the advantage on that one. Either way if the Saints win they will win by more than 3 most likely.

Yeah just to clarift it's:
Falcons -1/2 Saints +6.5 What's the better value here? A team that is in a must win situation with 6.5 points or a team looking for revenge heads up.

My local book is offering me a return of a favor on either Atlanta minus a half point or New Orleans + 6.5. Which is the better value here? Thoughts? Thanks in Advance!

Miami Backers are wayyy going to extremes and so are Boston Backers..... Perk was a big part in BOS but he didn't MAKE that team, like nbafan said BOS made Perk, example Perk on Thunder. Did it effect Rondo, YES!!!! Miami backers are making the Perk trade seem like Lebron leaving Cleveland to go to the Heat.... and Boston Backers are making it seem like it makes no difference now......WHO CARES ABOUT THE FREAKIN PERK TRADE!!!! It was drastic at first but lets move..... the perk trade was bad but it's not the deciding factor in this series and to say that the perk trade didn't effect Boston is also ridiculous. I mean if JO and Jgreen and Kristic start doing there job like the Knicks series then people will say that the trade didn't matter and Boston wins. If Miami wins then people will blame it on the trade and surely hate Danny Ainge for destroying the C's chemistry. Whatever man..... JESUS!!!!

If Perkins is SUCH a FACTOR why is OKC looking like they can't hang with the MEM front court.... I know it's just game 1... If anything I would the loss of Tony Allen is a bigger difference maker than Perk at this point. Perk was looking out of shape and lazy with the Thunder today....on the other hand Tony Allen was tearing it up for MEM!!!!

My friend kept telling me how they beat a MIA esque team with Melo, Amare, and Billups (Obviously Billups left early in the series). Honestly as for right now I like Conley, Randolph, and Gasol as my big 3 going into the future lol, yes I am bandwagoner lol....... I think your misperception of members taking BOS after the NY series sweep is not the Dominance but more the rest that a Veteran Championship Contender Team would get. I think the key thing people did not realize is that BOS need rhythm which I think they will get in Game 2 and if MIA takes Rondo out of the equation it is over........ but same goes if any team takes Rose out of CHI equation..... Anyway thanks for insight! |

I mean I agree with both rangerz and badlands last comments but my points are still respectable..... I still have faith in Danny Ainge's move even though I don't agree with it..... You guys might be right maybe the Knicks just suck and the post trade Boston team is not that great, maybe an end of an era like Spurs. For me I don't understand why the C's are not utilizing their trades when they claim that they traded for the exact purpose of the PLAYOFFS. Where are Nenads minutes... where is J Green being implemented. Where is the re surging Jermaine O'neal..... Mike Miller is back in the heats line up and maybe Udonis wil be in too, then BOSTON is really in trouble. But, I'm not going to count them out just yet. You can call me naive but that's just my opinion. With how old KG, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce are I think Ainge should have just left the team the way it was and just made a one more push with a team that had great chemistry with Perkins. Still has me scratching my head......I won today anyways by a half a point, are you BOSTON naysayers going to take Miami -5.5 again???? I'm Doc will have a different gameplan and with the ridiculous calls Game 1, I see a little more cleaned up Game 2....

Listen I give it to Wade for how many points he put up...... but other than that honestly and I won today.... honestly the HEAT only winning by 9 just shows how much they suck. Pierce was out and Rondo was in foul trouble, the Refs gave MIA almost every call they wanted. That flagrant on JO in the PLAYOFFS! Are you kidding me.Pierce thrown out for a pick and I don't care what Pierce said. And who the F is James Jones, if anybody was going to contribute it would have been the surprise entrance of Mike Miller. 25 points by a bench no body!!!! And Wade's 38.... Boston's horrible D and off shooting and you win by only 9 are kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For how horrible Boston played and the refs... YOU ARE RIGHT they "outplayed" the C's today! But if it was any other team in the playoffs right now with the exception OKC (which to me is a poor man's heat team) this would have been way more of a blow out! That is all...
