Thank you zilla. Was wondering after I saw Classof78 post about reaching 1800.

I see you have been a member since 2006, have to think you are near the top.

Thanks Einstein. Your mastery of the Streak Survivor page is impressive, Gold Star for you

I was referring to Overall Wins clown, not Wins in a Streak.

But, please remember. This is a secret link and you shouldn't tell anyone as it has valuable information. I'm only giving this out because I like that person in my wallet you have on display.

Curious since there is an All-Time Leaderboard for Streaks, but not for Overall Wins.

Took a look at the Pick History and the selections are for the most part the same with the exception of a few. I suppose guy wants to get to the brink and hedge at that point? Otherwise I'm not so sure.

Yeah I'm with ya; KOC is tough to sustain long-haul, I'll give the major pro sports a shot, but soon enough the gap seems too wide to overcome. The Playoff editions are great for that reason in my opinion, long enough to have to earn it, but short enough to potentially avoid falling off a cliff.

Yeah Spring Training baseball may be the biggest coin flip of all the offerings. Although having to overcome the WNBA / CFL games in the Spring editions is no fun either.

Nice job Mayn!  Top-60 finish is solid nonetheless. Yeah, consistency is key in this contest, even if it's only two weeks, a rough patch will set you back unless A) everyone else is in a similar rut during the same time frame or B) you offset the mini slump with a reciprocal hot stretch.

This time around I started off hot, was as high as 3rd around the 50 Win mark, but similar to yourself, a rough patch towards the end of December pushed me out of contention.

Hopefully we'll get another crack at it sooner rather than later.

Do you do Streak Survivor or any of the King of Covers contests?

Covers Team,

I noticed on the Ultimate Race Main Page, under the Congratulations to Doug Knudson, you wrote "Register soon for the next Covers Contest's Ultimate Race"

Do you know roughly when that will be? I know you guys typically send an e-blast to all members with the announcement, just curious as to whether we are looking at a Spring time start (NBA / NHL Playoffs + MLB Regular Season) or Late Summer / Fall.

Love these contests you guys put out for us, much appreciation!
Jockeying for a Top 100 finish at this point; was hoping to redeem myself after collapsing down the stretch in the Fall '14 edition (Was 3rd at 190 Wins 1 GB of Leader, dropped to 19th and missed out on the Cash Prizes , and yes I have the screen grabs to show for it as a reminder of this missed opportunity)

Thank you,

Do you mind elaborating on why you liked Chicago? I don't mean to be a hater, but this game didn't strike me as an appealing one. But in fairness I've only gotten to 14, not 19.

Good luck on a 2H rally!

Is it me or has Golden State fallen off in terms of ATS?

Losing Record ATS for starters.

Seems like they are not always in full throttle, much different story v last season. When they were pursuing the record, it was game on. Not surprised to see some lax outings given how much better they are v the rest of the league, but didn't think they would be so meh so often.

Do you guys agree or am I way off here?

I've been looking this game over and I've added this after
Houston -3.5 and before Golden State -10.

Hey Vicsings,

Thanks for the input, I did consider the Raptors play, but the Grizzlies have given me mixed results despite often appearing to be an appealing play. I do love fading Toronto in this spot though, just wish it was against a different opponent.

Can you elaborate on your skepticism with Golden State? I'm not following.

I am considering this play, but wanted some feedback / thoughts.

4-Team If Win Stack
$550 / $500 : $2,000

Houston Rockets -3.5
Golden State Warriors -10
New York Knicks +4
Los Angeles Lakers +8.5

Houston Rockets -3.5 @ Boston Celtics

- Coming off of a Loss, Houston is 12-1
- Won all of those games by 4 Points or More
- Day of Rest
- Team Healthy with Ryan Anderson back to Full Health
- Boston on 2nd Night of B2B
- Traveled from Washington
- Boston Defense has left much to be desired
- Avery Bradley out, best perimeter defender

Golden State Warriors -10.0 @ Charlotte Hornets

- Coming off an embarrassing loss to Miami
- Dion Waiters?!? Really?
- Should be out for Blood
- Homecoming Game for Stephen Curry
- Kemba Walker expected to play, but dealing with illness
- No Real Matchup problem for Golden State here
- Nationally Televised Game usually perks up Golden State

New York Knicks +4.0 @ Dallas Mavericks

- New York leaves much to be desired as far as displaying anything close to resembling basketball, but individual talent alone gives them the advantage over 1/3 of the League
- Win or Lose, this team tends to play close games, many of which end up being by a FG
- KP voiced his excitement to match up against Dirk
- Dallas due for a letdown after dropping a dump on Los Angeles

Los Angeles Lakers +8.5 @ Portland Trailblazers
- On the same page with Scal
- Redemption spot for Los Angeles
- Portland not one for Defense

Please share your thoughts, all input - agree or disagree - appreciated.

Thanks

I don't think it's a matter of disagreeing, but the way they approach the discussion. It's one thing to counter and provide substance as to why you don't agree, but it's child's play to simply respond back and say something to the effect of, "that's dumb, you're a moron>"

Scal I tend to agree with your thinking here, only reservation is the PG matchup is lopsided with Russell out, but Blazers lack of D should keep this within the spread.

I would say take the ML tonight and if necessary spread in Game 7.***

***At +2.5 you are not getting a whole lot of cushion and the +120 would soften the hedge amount here. None of these games have been close come Final Score, with the closest being 11.

***I say spread in Game 7 with the thinking that perhaps it will be somewhat lower than Games 1, 2 and 5. Those came in at around -5.5/6.5 whereas in Game 7 I could see it at 5 possibly 4.5 with the shift in momentum / public eye.
