Another way is to only pick the games you feel confident with, nothing says anyone has to pick every game on the board. I don't think there's any advantage making 32 picks for 16 football games with spreads and totals, if one were to make say 5 solid picks it's less of a lottery and more skill and feel for the games. Probably a better chance of going 5-0 or 4-1 rather than trying to go 20-12 for essentially the same results, the more games picked that are lost, the more the vig eats away at the games that are won.

Maybe it being the schools first bowl game in history has something to do with it. Home game or not that's some pretty big added pressure, I'd say even more than on a neutral site.

Have your services ever been used? Can you provide references? I'm from Canada and will be in Vegas the weekend of September 7th, and need to register by 11am Saturday the 8th. There will be two people needing a proxy, If you're serious, we are too.

Does anyone know of anywhere in Vegas that offers their proxy services to Canadians? I will be in Vegas the weekend of september 7th-10th and want to enter before the 8th deadline. I haven't had much such success in finding one.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought I had a virus or something but I guess others have seen the same message about some sites being seized.

From what I see there are only a couple on there tonight, the SDST-BYU game isn't one of them unless it will be added later, or unless there's another page I'm not seeing. |

duby,
Did you get to the point of placing the wager? On 5Dimes I don't think it shows that you can buy or sell points until you get to the point of placing the bet. There is a drop down menu for each game that is picked and it should list all of the buying and selling options. I know that's how it works for parlays because I do it often so I'm assuming it would be the same for straight bets. |

I barely ever post on here but read the forums quite often and for the most part only read a few posters threads to get some insight on certain games. After reading this little write up of App. State I couldn't help but think I just read this same thing 20 minutes ago, so I went back to the website I was on and turns out I have read it, along with every other post this guys has written, word for word.
My point is the site where it is from is not a forum, it's a sports site where obviously someone took the time to write it, if you happen to be the guy on that site that writes them I apologize, but if not you really should give credit was due, or at least put the whole thing in quotation instead of trying to pass all of these write ups as your own. The site where it is from is alright, big write ups for every game on the board but wouldn't read too much into the predictions of the games but the info they have on the games is worth a quick read. I always got in trouble for plagiarism at school, people don't like their work being ripped off... |

you'd think after the second interception they'd opt for a field goal, unless the kicker is just as bad as the qb

Congrats, although a skill testing question seems pretty silly after hitting 21 straight, you'd think that would be enough skill.
I live in Canada as well and never understood the point of a skill testing question, a couple years back a friend of mine won on the Tim Hortons roll up the rim, they denied him the prize because of the question. He was all excited for his new TV or home theater that he rushed the question and forgot to carry the 1 or something silly. He was in university for Engineering which made it even funnier.
All jokes aside my point is the testing is ridiculous, it would be sad if someone got denied a large cash prize based on a skill testing question, it has no relevance to any contest or claiming prizes, it's just a last effort on the part of whoever is running the contest in hopes of not having to fork out that big prize.

this may be a silly question but will there always be 4 different sports each day?? What if there's huge favs in hockey or something and there's not a pick for hockey that day, are 2 picks in the same sport allowed? or is it knocked down to however many sports are available??

Well if it makes a difference I was unhelped and got screwed on survivor myself with the seven day thing...
I was only at 6 picks but regardless they still reset me to zero, I made a pick on a Friday so by the rules it says I have to make a pick in seven days, so the following friday, correct???
So I check the lines around 9am to think about what to pick, I go back at noon and it's all reset to zero...No reply, no nothing, but you'll notice the guy in second right now is on his seventh day and he can still make a pick, different strokes for different folks I guess, but what do you expect for a free pool???

He still won $1000, and did make it as far as he did, so that's something in itself, maybe if you ask nicely he'll take you for a smoothie with the grand he won.

Maybe a silly question but let's say I picked Loyola Chicago last night at -9.5, but today it shows that I've made the pick but the line is now -11, does that mean I have to cover the 11? or is it still -9.5 like when I picked last night??

i was doing well in my first few weeks of picking every game, then i went downhill for another few weeks and put me in the hole for thousands (wagerline fake thousands), but for the games i actually put really money on i was roughly going 8-4, 9-3, 10-2 etc, if i had only taken the games on wagerline that i would actually bet on i think i would be doing far better than what i am at the moment...
i'm not sure of the way you've been picking but it seems to me that it would be more profitable going with less games that you would have more insight on. For example were you more concerned about a wake forest/florida state type game, or a Troy/Florida Atlantic game??? personally I would have a better shot at picking the wake forest game, and there's more like it, at least 20 picks per saturday i'd say including totals...
My point is, out of 100 possible picks or whatever it is per saturday, it seems like if you (not you personally, anyone really) narrowed it down to 10-15 games with totals, the outcome would be more profitable.
Either way my hats off to you for being at the ranking you're in, keep up the good work, and for shits and giggles i replied in a forum ealrier for wake to pull it off straight up||win.gif' border=0>
Keep up the good work||thumbs_up.gif' border=0>

So do you mean he took AzSt.-2 for the survivor pool, and bet on AzSt.+2 with his bookie? Why would he do that? Wouldn't it make more sense to bet Oregon with the bookie? Especially with no hook, at least he could've pushed if he just went both ways on the spread. But to make Azst. both picks makes no sense, if they lose by 3 he misses the 21st pick, and whatever he bet with the bookie, which is what happened so who knows if he even made a bet to hedge. I still can't wrap my head around why he even went with that game, Boise St., Navy, Bowling Green, all had +spreads more than a field goal and they all won straight up. But I've never made it past 6 and only have a record of 12-5 so who am I to criticize(spelling?) Either way 20 is amazing, but he should've been giggling at all the nice dogs that would've covered way more easily than AzSt.
