Northwestern
Utah Notre Dame Kentucky (-113) Never put money on bad football teams. NW could be looking ahead but the Illini are terrible. Just got beat 63-0 by a mediocre Iowa team last week. Even in NW doesn't play well I can't see them losing this game. Utah should be too much to handle for BYU. Rice Eccles is going to be jumping. The Utes will be looking forward to a UW-Wazzou rematch in the title game, but this is the Holy War. At the end of the day Utah is just a better football team. The Irish with a chance to guarantee themselves a spot in the CFP while simultaneously embarrassing their rival and putting their head coach out on the street? I think USC will actually show a little bit a life early on in this one, but for anyone who has watched these two teams play this season it's hard to imagine a way the Trojans win this football game. Louisville? The last four weeks the Cards the have given up 56, 77, 54, and 52 points. Kentucky is not known for its offense but UK's Benny Snell is 207 away from the career rushing record and this Cards defense is so bad he just might get it. Never too comfortable with a 4 teamer but at close to standard odds on the ML I actually like this one a lot.

This is a fascinating game because it really has a chance to decide both teams seasons. Michigan can get things corrected and go on the road and take some momentum from a solid win against an up and coming football team. If they lose, their season might go downhill quickly. Rivalry game on deck for them. Road games at Penn State and Wisconsin to come. Oh, and of course ending the year with The Game against a team that has their number the last decade.
Purdue could make themselves and everyone else believers with a win in this one. One of the keys to this one is going to be whether or not Purdue executes their trick plays. Expect Brohm to pull out all the stops. The Boilers should have some opportunities with an extremely aggressive M defense. Can they convert them though? This is something to watch and makes it a challenge to cap, IMO. Speight is the obvious wild card but he has looked abysmal this season. He does not look in synch at all.

I used to always have a rule of betting against Ferentz, Gary Pinkel, and Jeff Tedford.
The absolute worst. Only one left for me now!

I really liked South Florida to compete in this game but don't think I can justify playing it at 2.5....I was hoping before the lines came out to get it closer to a TD with the hook and I thought for sure that the Bulls were the play. This line confirms what I thought but it also makes it a no play for me.

Hook why do you like Ohio State? Just curious as to your thought process. I'm definitely going to make a play on State Penn in this game.
Since their early season struggles they've been playing some great football. Bill O'Brien has them playing with confidence and they really seem to be in a groove. Can't say the same thing for the Bucks. Pretty ugly 8-0. Barely beat a garbage Cal team at home. Beat a garbage Mich. State team by a point. Allowed 49 points and won by three against Indiana. And deserved to lose for 58 minutes at home to a lousy Purdue team. Honestly, I think their backup coming in was the best thing that could've happened last week. Beaver Stadium is going to be rocking. This one should be fun but despite their records I just think PSU is the better team at this time. Good luck to you though.

Somebody will lose. Never trust Missouri. Pac-12 is always unpredictable. And Wisky/Mich.State both blow so that could definitely go either way. Good luck though. Hope you hit it.

Just my opinion but I like Temple in this game to be honest. Losing to Maryland and Penn State isn't the worst thing in the world. They'll play up in this game against a Rutgers team that is getting a lot of love but really hasn't been all that impressive. They played a great game against an absolute garbage Arkansas team. Outside of that game they've gotten wins but done so in very underwhelming fashion. I won't touch this game. I think the spread is right on. But I could see Temple winning outright here.

Towson was the weak opponent. That's the game people are thinking of when considering this game. To me it was just a game LSU wasn't even paying attention to as they get ready for the Gators. The Tigers have looked pretty mediocre though, but this should be a close game down to the wire regardless.

Logan Thomas is and has been extremely overrated. Not saying Va. Tech won't win/cover this week but basing it on the fact that Thomas is suddenly going to fulfill the prophecy doesn't make much sense. The dude is overrated. Plain and simple. Va. Tech does not look like a good football team this year. North Carolina ain't much to write home about either. Should be a close one. Hopefully you're on the right side of it. But I wouldn't be banking on Logan Thomas at this point.
I'll probably stay away from Florida/LSU. I like Florida right away when seeing the lying, but I feel like that's the problem. This sloppy Towson game is going to be fresh in everyone's minds. But if anyone here thinks the entire Louisiana State University wasn't looking ahead to this game against the Gators I think you're fooling yourself. And let's not act like Muschamp has done anything since he's taken over at Florida. I will say this much about the Gators...they have gotten better as the season has progressed here. After a sloppy opener against BGSU they won a tough road game at TAMU. They had a great second half against Tennessee. And they blew out a bad Kentucky team. I would not be shocked if Florida finds a way to win, but don't be surprised if you see the best game of the season from LSU. This is a program that comes up clutch in big games. Good luck.

I try to stay away from Tech usually. Just never know what you're going to get with that team. They've been jekyll and hyde under Johnson. Look great some weeks and awful other weeks.
Should be a revenge spot for Clemson but Tech has given them fits in recent years. Jackets have won 4 of the last 5.Underdog is 14-4 the last 18 ATS in this series. I just never know what to expect from GT. Hope you hit it though. It's always better to be on the side with the better football team.

Thanks Tech - I 100% agree about Miami being bipolar. That's definitely more of a gut play. That's why I said the line scares me. 13 just seems like an awful lot of points. The Canes could end up getting blown out if things don't start their way. But Notre Dame's offense hasn't impressed me at all and if Miami can hold the Irish under 30 points in this game all they need to do is score 17 to cover. ND has looked great on D but this should be their biggest test of the year. Like I mentioned, this is the first time they're playing legitimate speed. All it takes it one step and there could be a big play for the Canes waiting.
Thanks Prof Chaos - It's a classic sandwich game for the Eagles with the rough loss to Clemson and Florida State on deck. I've just seen both teams play this year and can see BC winning by double digits even playing a lousy game. That's why I wanted to jump on that spread early in the week here before it goes up. Stony Brook didn't have too much trouble stopping that option yesterday, which was surprising. The Cadets have really struggled defensively this season and I think if the Eagles put up 35-40 it should be enough for the cover. |

Air Force -10
I understand this is a rivalry game with the winner most likely taking the Commander in Chief trophy (because Army blows) and both teams are very familiar with the option. The bottom line here is that Navy is awful. Their only win this season coming against VMI. Getting shut out last week at home against SJSU 12-0. This one might be close for a little while but I think the Falcons pull away late. Boston College -9.5 Army blows. Seriously. This is a bad football team. They've had a couple of opportunities here to prove that the slow start to the season was just an aberration, but they just haven't responded. An ass kicking by SDSU in Week 1. Taking Northern Illinois to the wire but still coming up short in Week 2. Inability to stop Wake Forest in Week 3. And just a brutal performance scoring 3 points at home against Stony Brook in Week 4. They might as well just start preparing for Navy right now. That might be the only game they win all year. This BC team has come up on the short end in all three games against stiff competition, but they competed and should outclass the Cadets in this one. UCLA -2.5 Seriously, people don't still bet money on Cal and Jeff Tedford, do they? If there are worse coaches to bet on than Tedford and Gary Pinkel I'd like to hear who they are. Those two have burned more tickets than any coaches in America. The Golden Bears are now 1-4 this year with their only win coming against Southern Utah. I understand they put up a good fight against a mediocre Ohio State club (the Big Ten is awful), but they just aren't a good football team. UCLA will be looking to send a message to a big in state rival here and getting it at less than a field goal at the beginning of the week is the way to go. Miami Florida +13 This line kind of scares me. Notre Dame has played extremely well so far this season but where have they seen the athletes that Miami is going to throw at them? Not from Navy. Not from Purdue. Not from Michigan State. And not from Michigan. The Fighting Irish still haven't solidified themselves on offense, and with all the play makers the U has they should be able to find a way to put up at least a few points against a defense that has played extremely well this year. Miami has a nice road win at BC, and embarrassing loss at K-State, an ugly win in front of 6 fans against Bethune- Cookman, a jekyll and hyde win against GT, and another weird wild win against NCST. Granted, they're the U, so they'll find some way to fuck this up most likely. But I'll still take my chances with them getting close to two touchdowns against touchdown Jesus. Thoughts?

The funny part would be someone actually believing that a baseball team could get "fired up" over something and it would help them.
This isn't football. Guy could call the Yanks person cocksuckers and it wouldn't change things. The team that pitches better and gets timely hits will win. Talk all the shit you want. Makes no difference in baseball.
