Had $5,000 on Miami Heat ML - about to take a drive after downing some shots of Patron
in NBA Betting
Yeah take a drink and a dive to your nearest river. Likely the same outcome and much safer for the rest of the world.

If you bought the half point on the over or your book offered 198 instead of 198.5 you could have gotten a push. |

Apparently this story is about Mike Brown.

The -2.5 on home favorites I assume.

As an athlete though, you should be able to at least bench your body weight. As a player it can be a rhythm thing. You may not be comfortable taking more than a certain amount of shots. Look at a point guard for instance. Even when a point guard is shooting well they still don't typically take that many shots. Yes it is their responsibility to run the offense but when they're hot you'd expect them to go off. The positions where players don't typically care about how many shots they jack up is SG and SF. Last night, OKC was fronting him in the post which means you have to throw the entry pass over the top. This almost always leads to the helpside defender rotating over to get a steal or a charge. Essentially he needs to be less soft to prevent people from fronting him. This may be too harsh though because Collison is quick enough and strong enough to front most post players in the league. |

People are really making too much a deal out of this. It is not like Westbrook was the
only starter sitting on the bench in the 4th. Every starter was on the
bench except for Durant. Should Perkins, Ibaka, and Sefolosha be
worried about their position on the team too? Look at the bench's +/-
vs the starter's +/-. That is the simplest explanation as to why they
played the entire 4th quarter. Ibaka was the only starter with a
positive +/-, but he still rode the bench with the other starters.

I guessed the same thing but it would not make sense unless you took the moneylines from game 6 @ Portland on. If you took a moneyline before that you would have gone all the way back to zero. And if you were crazy enough to put all that money on Dallas last night then you would have again gone back to zero. Even your number is too high though. Just eliminate the juice to get an upper bound.
There were 11 Dallas Mavericks playoff games and they covered all of them (not including last night's game). 100 * 2^11 = 100 * 2048 = 204,800 Also I think the Mavs had a small covering streak before the playoffs started so maybe they are including that. |

If he was down 15k and he was rolling his profits, as it appeared he was doing, then it would have only taken 6 more wins in a row to give $21,785.73 and he would have been out of debt. But knowing Seaweed he couldn't stop on a hotstreak right? Gotta let that $21K ride.

Because the bench has been doing well in the game. Some coaches still believe in giving the bench a chance to close when they are doing well.

It might be very interesting except for the fact that no starter except Durant is in the game.

I did not say that you were one of the biggest Chicago homers because you live in Chicago. It is your unrelenting bias that makes you a Chicago homer.
You say that Haslem had a good game because of all the energy he had built up. However, lets say that Luol Deng was out all year and came back with a game like Haslem. Then you would be all over his jock saying how he was only going to get better. And if Lebron was on Chicago, you would likely fully be supporting him now instead of criticizing him. Both of these teams have key faults. I don't respect either team. |

Oh lord, the number one ranked Chicago homer got replaced by the number two ranked homer.

+x means that you will make x/100 profit
-x means you will make 100/x profit As a side note, x will always be greater than or equal to 100. You always use the '-' to denote less than 1 to 1 profit and the '+' to indicate more than 1 to 1 profit. So +150 is 150/100 = 3/2 and -275 is 100/275 = 4/11 So I bet 1 unit at +150 and I win 1.5 units and I thereby turned that 1 unit into 2.5 units. |
