JFox.. guess he didn't see the #1 team in the country is down 23 at the half. You're right far more than you're wrong. Good work overall. I'd love to see Marshall dominate 2nd half and cover, just to see the reaction. |

49ers at Atlanta - The Pick: Atlanta (+5, buying 1/2) The Falcons have more to lose since they've been doubted all year despite their record and their previous playoff failures. They got lucky last week with Seattle's big 2H come back and a fortunate timeout by Pete Carroll when Matt Bryant missed the practice kick on the first attempt then he decided to onside kick the next one giving Seattle a glimpse of hope. That withstanding, I'm a big believer in when a team is given a second chance like the Falcons had last week after being on the brink, they seem to be play better and being home and having faced mutliple running QB's recently AND getting points they will cover, if not, win. My heart is saying 49ers but my gut is saying Atlanta. Atlanta 24 SF 23. (I like the under 1H 24.5 as well, if you need action). Ravens at Patriots The weather in this game, I think plays a factor. At kickoff, the wind is forecasted to be 18MPH with 25 MPH gusts and a windchill of 25. If you don't think the wind will be a factor for FG's and long passing attempts, I think you're discounting it greatly. Flacco, as evidenced last week, threw a lot of deep balls and was successful against Champ Bailey. This week, I don't think the deep ball will be as effective and Baltimore's short passing game is sketchy at best. However, Tom Brady loves the underneath routes, screens, slants, etc. They will run the hurry up and their overall game is less effected by the elements. The Ravens resemble the Giants of a year ago but I don't think Flacco is Eli and I don't like their receivers in big games as Torrey Smith can just disappear making them one dimentional. The Patriots actually score more PP/G without Gronkowski, anyway. Don't trust Flacco, at all, to keep up with Brady's offense and their effective hurry up style. I'm laying the points and taking Patriots (-6.5, buying the point just in case). Also, with the weather, taking the Under 51.5. (I like the Under 1H of 26 and Baltimore +6 1H..seeing a 13-10 type first half) New England 27 Baltimore 20. GL.
