If BYU wins, it'll be by a decent amount. UF won't give up and will continue fouling if down and BYU is the best FT shooting team in the nation. I see 4.5 as not really being THAT much different than 2. Judging by posts in this thread, the UF backers use overrated MWC and underrated SEC as their knowledge, while BYU backers use stats. BYU is my choice.

all the people who said it was over, now we got people saying their bets are looking great when wave were only up 1 on spread.

With that said, here's hoping to a better half for the Tulane backers.

For those that are insulting OP's pick, you're not required to take it. According to his own record, he's over 80% on ECU games. Whether he is or not truthfully, who knows. I doubt he's lying though, and to come out when he's losing and complain is sad. It's college basketball and anything can happen. Edges vs spread are so small that losing happens.

Another couple of things about this game that support Tulane. Tulane is 5-1 ATS on road (including last 5) while ECU is 1-5 covering at home. I listened to a VLOG from the Tulane beat reporter and got a decent idea for the injuries.
Kevin Sims could be back early tonight as he's been practicing lately. He's been out almost a month with a wrist injury. He has some trouble with pain while dribbling at times but none on his shot. Kris Richard spained his ankle in the second half of SMU game saturday. He didn't practice monday but that's more likely just to keep him off his ankle. If this team has any motivation the rest of the season, it's to get that win back from ECU. Worst case, if one or both of these guys can't play, then freshman Jordan Callahan has been playing solid lately. His stats have become better and better just like a normal freshman's would. After not getting much PT early in the season, he's received 25 minutes or more in 5 of past 6 games, going for 10.8 points and almost 3 assists per game. In his last 6, the only negative A/TO ratio he has had was in the ECU game. |

I'm really really liking Tulane in this spot. Tulane while 2-5 overall SU on the road, is 5-1 ATS on the road. East Carolina on the other hand is a dreadful 1-5 ATS. The teams have combined to win 3 games total in the conference with ECU's sole win being over Tulane @ Tulane. The stats of the game tell all. ECU shot 48% while Tulane shot 24%, including 5% from 3s. These stats should not show up again, and the game will be a lot closer stat wise I'd imagine.
Any reason not to like Tulane, with ATS' and revenge? |

I'm actually not betting either side here. Both sides have some great ATS trends. I am betting the under instead! Citadel is 8-0 Under as an ATS underdog this year!

I keep a close eye on the books that I know Sharps use and if those lines move in the wrong direction, then I usually abort. I haven't seen it yet with this game. In fact, it's moving (with the books I'm tracking) in favor of C of C,... but not as much as I'd like. I'd wish you luck, but I wouldn't mean it.... I decided to jump on the other side. While you make several great points everywhere, I think CoC is a public team after their win at North Carolina. Those who stuck with them after that win have been rewarded with a nice ATS record since, and I don't think they'll stop here. |

I am against two of your picks today, and with only one (though my strongest).
What are your thoughts on Citadel under and Texas? I'm against those two. The Citadel one is my least strong play but there's a stat that they are 8-0 under when underdog ATS. I couldn't ignore that. |

The line looks quite fishy. Their opponet lost by 1 this year to them in their previous matchup and has beaten them in the past. Why is the line so high? I'm staying away.

Two more games:
Citadel/Charleston Under Citadel is 8-0 this year hitting unders as an underdog ATS. They play good defense and I believe they'll have problems scoring. This will be a low scoring one. Elon +7 Western Carolina started the year 5-0 ATS, and has cooled off going 3-8 since then. They just came off as 8 point favorite against Appalachian and left a 12 point loser on saturday. Elon has been on fire lately and it's always smart to play teams on fire. They've covered 5 of the past 6, including a 11 point win over Furman on Saturday as a 8.5 point underdog. The best part? Elon and Western Carolina have played this year @ WC. WC came out winners by 2 but as a 17 point favorite. Elon has played better ever since that game. Now this game is at Elon and I expect a similar result, close loss. |

While similar to the other post about NMSU, this is what I wrote about the game
NSMU -2.5 (LA Tech) This game comes down to how the teams are playing. LA Tech is on a 5 game ATS losing streak. During this streak they have lost by the spread by 4, 24, 1, 17 and .5. Some close ones sure, but the 17 and 24 are awful. Add to those the fact that the 24 belongs to the team they are playing tonight and you got a pick. NMSU beat LA Tech @ LA tech by 14 in their first meeting a week ago. The spread was LA Tech -10. NMSU is on a 6 for 7 ATS Streak tear. Their lone loss was 6.5 spread points when they were outshot by 17% in a loss @ SJSU. This team is finally coming into stride after starting slowly. They were looked at as a WAC contender preseason. They were an underdog or pickem in 5 of the 7 games, and they've not only won 6/7 ATS, but also 6/7 SU. Play them while they are hot. This could be one of those GAME of the month bets. Another thing you must love about this game is line movement. People are betting NMSU, but this game is not a public game. Who do you think is pounding NMSU and rising the line? Average joe isn't.... |

It's a pretty large mismatch in terms of overall talent and experience. Home court helps sure.. but this KU team is just at a way higher level than Texas, especially in big games.
