That's probably their FCS ranking

hmm, only thing I see is they announced the starting QB... redshirt freshman Nick Sherry over junior Caleb Herring.  Guess I'll double up with the extra points.

went up to 9.5 over the last few days... anyone know why?

I see that's released now.  Damn, my predicted score was 38-24... and I guess that's what the books think too.  Hopefully it will move one way or another.

did they finally release a total?  I'm only interested in the over in this game.

it appears Shreveport is having a lag in ticket sales so far.  From what I read they have already sold 23000 ticket, with only 5500 from A&M faithful.  Not sure how they know that fan info, but it appears A&M have sent back a ton of tickets that they could not sell.  Hopefully more Tech fans buy those up and make this a one sided affair.

this is practically a home game for LA Tech in Shreveport.  Could be an offensive showdown here with little defense.  Game will be on national TV and should be more of a statement for LA Tech.  Going with the points LA Tech +7

Basically this one comes down to the UNLV RB vs. Minn QB.  Both defenses will let in a bunch of points.  I typically like to take teams visiting Vegas that are not used to the atmosphere... nor the heat.  I'll take the home dog with more than a TD... UNLV +8

might as well make a few posts to start the season before I get sidetracked...

Got Ohio +7  when 5D initially opened the line 2 weeks ago.  They should be tops in the MAC again, and have a good offense and defense to compete with a depleted, distracted, and make shift team that is PSU.  Might even go with a ML play as well but we'll see once it's released.  No clue how the Lions will perform without Redd, and some other key losses.  Predicting Ohio gets at least 20, and PSU gets anywhere between 17-27.

Don't really post much anymore.  No time, and too many immature posters.

game is in Detroit, gotta look at road stats for both teams.  I gotta go with the better defense which is Ohio

it may not be.  Butler lost Howard and Mack.  Evansville is opening a new arena with this game, and they should be decent this year.

I got Evansville +3.5

I'll be in the stands too. A chilly night with about 50% rain forecast. I wouldn't doubt if it's windy too. We always have strong wind in Pittsburgh.

Normally I would go with Pitt here. Against the public play, Thurs home dog, desperate for a big win, etc. However I'm going to end up on USF and probably the Under too.

I hate going with most everyone else. USF is just better all around and they want to continue winning and stop the losing streak vs Pitt. It's going to be a very close game throughout. I see 3 total turnovers and a grind it out game. Low scoring. Maybe a back door cover by Pitt. Final hopefully will be USF 24-20.

congrats to the Cowboy backers.  It would've been nice to see the game play out without the Tulsa QB injury in the 1st quarter.  Oh well.

To answer your questions:  No, Tulsa isn't that much better, nor has OK St dropped off at all.

I don't look at historicals, or previous year performances, or trends.  I'm a schedule analyzer, line movement judger, bet against the public perception bettor... with a little bit of gut feel in there too.  Right now OK St is sitting on top of the podium.  They have a big matchup next week against A&M.  This year they have more pressure to win as opposed to last year.  This is Tulsa's first home game... OK St first away game.  It should be a high scoring game for sure.  The general public keeps hearing about OK St.  Tulsa who?!  They don't know Tulsa has a high scoring offense as well.  Heck, they probably think Tulsa is a FBS school.  Line movement shows me Tulsa is the play, even if I wasn't able to grab it at +14.5 when it opened.

Just now got Tulsa +14 -115.  According to VegasInsider.com the public is backing OK St vs. the spread at an astonishing 97% of bets.  That is absurd.

Sure I may be wrong, everyone is wrong 50% of the time over the long haul.  I won't regret this pick one bit though.

great spot for Tulsa here.  First home game.  OK st looking ahead to an important TX AM match next week.  Also some reverse line movement already.  I definitely should've made my play at +14.5.  I only hope it doesn't go lower than 13.  Gonna wait it out and hope it goes back to +14.

refs are definitely trying to keep OSU in this game... geez, Toledo getting a ticky tack call in numerous important plays.
