For those of you who had a chance to watch the week 8 match-up, you must admit that Miami more than held their own at Gillette. My play is not based solely on Gronkowski being out (although it certainly helps). I like the Fish because they have a lot to prove after falling victim to Brady's 4th quarter magic; they are fighting for their playoff lives; and they are probably tired of being a walking mat for New England. Not to mention, they've looked pretty damn good over the past 2 weeks. Good Luck Fellas Is it not safe to say NE was still in "shambles" in week 8. I feel like they slipped by those early weeks with help from a favorable schedule. Thoughts? I get a feeling i am fishing for a reason to take NE here which scares me a little.

I am not sure why everyone refuses to give the chiefs any credit. I would think it's fair to say that the chiefs were not a terrible team last year. All they needed was a stable quarterback and Andy Reid was just a bonus. Yes okay I understand they havent played any high caliber teams but Buffalo is definitely not high caliber. Vegas will likely take a small sum off me for backing KC ml.

Im not taking away from the niners. And I would agree that they are one of the best defense in the nfl... Little to early for me to call them the best.
I like both harbaugh brothers a lot, they are both great coaches. One "flawless" game against a "bonafide" playoff contender, who besides last season, hasnt made the playoffs in over a decade?... (might I add that in that playoff game last year they allowed 626 yards, including 459 in the air and 167 on the ground as well as 35 first downs and 45 points) they also have key players injured on their d.. Again, anybody will obviously back their team/qb/defense/coach for then most part.. I can read just as well as I can spot an asshole. Just because you right down a bunch of opinions and I don't agree with them and just because you bring up Alex Smith and how well he's doing and how far he's come doesnt mean i have to agree with them or that I cant read. You dont like people responding on the forum, dont post topics. Clearly you missed my point in my post. It was meant to be, dont be a dick and have a little respect. Clearly i was unaware that you and that other guy have beef. Clearly if you knew your ass from your head you wouldnt be bringing up that the topic is SF d and then go on about how you brought up smith so you could glorify Harbaugh. Neither of which are clearly SF d discussions. Looks to me it would be more accurate to say your topic would be the effect harbaugh has had on SF. Read your own words before you comment on how someone else hasnt.

clearly any team fan would back their qb.. niners are a good team, smith isnt that great. too bad payton didnt take up sf on their offer... they would have been deadly!!
oh and the the idiot who started the forum... people put in their opinion.. no need to rip on them, thats what forums are for SHIT FOR BRAINS you brought up smith.. and any quarterback with a very good team surrounding him can play mediocre ease up and respect peoples opinions or dont post forums... |

I like reading PTB forums. I wish all the haters would piss off and ignore PTB if they dont like him/his picks.
I can't say i agree with all of the picks you pick but like reading none the less.Titans scare me, denver does as well. But by no means am i am great capper/bet maker. I would love to see the texans go to the SB this year, they were playing so great last year before schaub was hurt. PTB usually doesnt answer my questions for some reason, however I am curious to know why you think that the Chargers deserve any respect at all? I know its not always accurate to look at the year before but besides their lackluster season, Rivers has had absolutely no success in the post season. I dont know why everyone is so bent on going against the Saints.. Brees is almost like having a second coach (he plays like manning with smarts and can carry that team) I cant see them going under 500 but i have been wrong before. Week one I like: - Arizona (as long as kolb isnt starting) ml - Chi to stomp indy, ml in a parlay - and houston over miami I know PTB doesnt usually play o/u but i like the over on mia/hou as well. Best of luck all, i am as excited as the rest of you!!!! |

I just want to quickly point out the the majority of your argument for why the pats are not hungry enough was almost identical to your argument of why the jets will win it (im just going to leave out how you mentioned Tebow will carry the Jets to the SB and that Rex Ryan is a genious)....
Let's recap.... Pats have lost two in a row to the Giants so they are defeated and are no longer hungry.... The Jets have lost two in a row so they are fucking pissed and will win the SB in your opinion. I like the effort and the intelligent wording explaining yourself to slumdog picks, but your arguments are so weak and poorly thought out that reading this post was a waste of a good ten mins. Put your bankroll on the Jets, i'll be surprised if the Jets make the playoffs.

Couple teasers waiting to come through if this over hits today (61 units on the line)...
Any reason this game shouldnt hit that over? Both these teams can score and they love to at that. Giants have only been held to under 20 points three times this yr and GB only once and it was that KC gaff... Any help helps, thanks all. |

nylonfeet you`re just an idiot plain and simple... Dendogg I like the loyalty to your team and i am not in the opinion that pats will definitely roll the broncos.... but honestly, can neither of you see that the pats are a FAR better team then denver...? I hate to break it to you... but they are FAR better.
Dendogg pretty sure you are the one to bring up the difficulty in the schedule. I would agree that the pats didnt have a tough schedule, but you cant tell me with a straight face that the broncos did either..the ONLY respectable win that the broncos had this season was against the bengals... and tebow didnt even play I can't honestly tell you that i picked denver to win last week againt the steelers, but I had them to cover all day long and a win was quite likely. this week is an entirely different story. a busted up pitt (and no its not an excuse that they won, quite frankly pitt played like shit) with a quarterback who was visually hobbling around the entire game is absolutely nothing like a healthy new england team. I am not a pats fan though i do highly respect brady as well as welker and gronk (btw you understand that brady broke the same record that brees did this year correct? so how either of you stupidly say that brady is a qb of the past and tebow is the one of the future is beyond me and an insanely ARROGANT statement) but to compare the two teams on the same playing field is NUTS!!! is there a chance that denver wins this game...? sure. a very very very small chance, but yes you do have a slight glimmer of hope. On the other hand is it absurd to suggest that it is likely that denver gets rolled over? No, it's actually a very likely statement. Tim tebow (though i love the kids attitude and general personality) is not yet an nfl quarterback, is that to say that it never happens? no, it very likely could. Can you compare him to any elite quarterback in the league let alone your flacco's, yates', smiths'... I would say no, not at all. He can scramble here and there, but he can't throw a ball unless its to a blown coverage (yes i believe denver only won last week because of a stupid coaching play, if you cant hit someone that wide open, you dont deserve to play in the nfl as a qb). All that being said, it's my own opinion that you two "die hard" broncos fans need to reel yourselves back in a bit. Will i eat my words if denver wins, definitely. But lets say until then that the both of you should give it a rest... Broncos in the superbowl... Thats honestly just fucking stupidity talking and even if it was the case GB, NO, maybe even SF, NYG would all STOMP THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF DENVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After all, when you really look at it.. The broncos snuck into the playoffs out of their pile of shit division. Otherwise, they have no right to be there at all. 10 out of 16 teams in the AFC are shit!!!!! And the AFC west is a fucking joke. After all this writing I am just trying to say, I respect when a fan has faith in their team but you go off and start a thread called "the pats are overrated"... What's that saying with glass houses and rocks being thrown? All your talk and hype, it will be interesting to see if you two have the balls to come back onto this thread if the pats do stomp the shit out of your precious (non-deserving) denver broncos. BOL all

adrenaline, emotions, records... you think that brees was thinking to himself "hmmm, i better run out the ball and clock here so that it doesnt seem cheap to some cappers on covers" no way man, he was thinking "i'm so fucking close, I am gunna blast it down these bastards throats on this last play!!!" i got no beef dude, just saying.. you made your point, drop it. Brees is the fucking man and Brady is up there too. Don't be a hater bro, give the man the respect he deserves! Happy Holidays |
