Idaho guy here. Watched them play over half their games so far this season. Grabbed it at -1.5 last night because I knew it would climb. Idaho has been playing well recently, including a loss in OT at Utah State who is always very tough to beat at home. Idaho had a nice lead late and let it slip away. I'm a little nervous about the possible look ahead to New Mexico State( I say look ahead beacuse they always seem to play us tough and we can't beat them when it counts, mini rivalry I guess) coming in on saturday, but with the way Denver plays on the road and the fact that Coach Verlin seems to always have the scrappy Vandals ready to go, I like Idaho to take this one. |

Glad you backed off the play. Idaho alum here, I think Idaho has what it takes to get it done in Cheney tonight. Idaho was 7-7 on the road last year, I wouldn't call that especially bad. They beat Nevada and Oregon State on the road last year. I wouldn't call theose good teams by any means, but they aren't terrible! The Vandals also played New Mexico very tough at the Pit for 2/3 of the game and were leading 49-46 with 13 minutes left so they have it in them. Of course after that we went on an 8 minute scoring drought. Eastern has been solid in the past, but like you said, lots of new faces for them. I think it was smart you laid off. It will probably be a small play on Idaho for me becasue I think Coach Verlin is a great coach and will find a way to get these guys a victory 70 miles north of Moscow. |

Vandal alum here. Jump all over SJSU in my opinion. Morale couldn't be much lower. Only thing they have going for them would be playing for new coach in Gesser. Most of the players liked Akey a lot and were very upset when he was fired. Starting TE Taylor Elmo is suspended for a comment on twitter about how messed up the athletic program is and their horrible decision to fire Akey. Thow in Bushnell at qb who led the Vandals to 3 points in a loss to Eastern Washington and this offense won't get anywhere. The other qb to play, Taylor Davis, started 3 games and played in 7 total last year, threw for 234 yards and 1 TD! With a completion percentage under 45%. Vandals lost starting qb Blackman as JFen said, but the team also dismissed lost starting linebacker Conrad Scheidt last week. I see no reason to be on the Vandals in this one... |

Idaho Vandals 1. I see 16 wins for the Vandals 2. They will not make the NCAA tourney 3. Another trip to the CIT could be in the cards They lost their two best ball handlers(Tatum and Geiger), which could cause a few problems, but they return 2nd team all-WAC center, Kyle Barone. He should be a first team all WAC guy this year after averaging 13 and 8 last year. They are typically fueled by juco transfers and after a few games we can get a feel if they got a couple transfers that can be of big help in the backcourt. If thats the case, they could be a sleeper in the WAC as coach Don Verlin does a good job of getting the best out of his players. |

For those of you thinking about the over...
King Felix is 5-1 with a 2.13 ERA the last 3 years vs the Yanks. Pair that with the M's pathetic hitting against ANY pitcher(especially at home) and you've got a pretty good recipe for the under.
Good Luck to all

As an M's fan I see this being a streaky year for em. Way to ride them while their hot, especially at the prices you are getting! I love seeing the young guys like Ackley, Saunders, Montero and Smoak hitting the ball hard finally. I took a future: M's over 70.5 wins for the season when I was in Vegas for March Madness opening weekend. Thanks for the great work you do man, followed you during college bball and glad to see you on the baseball board as well. Good luck today. |

I've watched a lot of Zags games being from the west coast and was wondering if anyone is concerned about the Zags getting Kilicli in foul trouble. They do a great job in getting the ball down to the post for Sacre and sometimes Harris to go to work. To top that off both are good free throw shooters. I initially liked West Virginia and have no doubt that Kevin Jones will have his way, but will it be enough? If the Zags can pound down low, and I know thats what Mark Few will want to do early on, I'm starting to believe that the Zags have a pretty good shot here. With the game in Pittsburgh though, its too tough to make the call.

The Vandals are a gritty squad and know Utah State very very well as Don Verlin used to be an assistant coach under Stew Morrill at USU. Utah State was untouchable at home recently, until this season where they're become very mortal. I think the linesmakers are still giving the Aggies more home court advantage than they actually deserve right now. |

Zona is in a look ahead spot to Washington on Saturday. Not only do those teams hate eachother, but UW stole a win from Zona in Tucson earlier in the season. That paired with Pullman being a tough place to travel to and get a win (relatively speaking because the pac-12 is so weak), the Cougs look to be a good play catching 3 points. Good luck guys. |

I haven't posted much at all but I saw something that could be of some value for capping this game tonight. Montana State is on a 5 game losing streak in conference. Weber St. on the other hand is playing very well right now. Last time around Weber got the 14 point win at home. Montana States's point guard, and leading scorer, is out indefintely as of Sunday night. Thats important as he was their leading scorer but more importantly he's their top defender. With him out who's going to guard the nations leading scorer, Damian Lillard? Weber State might have a look ahead to their bracketbuster with Texas-Arlington, but I still think it's a good spot for them tonight. |

Typically Washigton won't play a true away game until about 10 games into the season or more. That paired with them being young (but loaded with talent as we all know), I think makes it a decent spot to take Nevada straight up. Just my two cents
