this is my question exactly. The COL shutout started me on the first bet with real money (fortunately not mine, but my boss's money) which lost, and now poses a dilemma to chase. I didn't come across this at all in my spot checks through games back to 2006 (didn't have time to check it through too deep). Anyone have any ideas? |

I would like to know what the stat is that is producing the 43-0. I bet against Australia anyways.

I think its safe to say that every team but South Africa is a road team in the world cup :). And maybe even them, as these are new stadiums.

make sure to check the rollover for the bonus, and be sure of how it works. You may get a surprise when it comes time to withdraw your winnings.

Using your credit card for a WU or MG transaction is considered a cash advance. That may be a big bite, so it is really worthwhile to check out where you may have a local agency to go there and send your cash to the book. Keep in mind that all of these transactions are done through a 3rd party processor, not directly with the book, so you need to make sure that you know the time limits that your book uses, for example, some book may need yiou to have the control number in 30 minutes before your game starts so they have enough time to confirm the tansfer and make the deposit to your account.

I have been out of the game for a few years, but the payouts issue is a big problem in sportsbooks. It is a legitimate concern to players of course, but it is also a big problem for the books. ON average, a payment processor gets more business than they can handle from the books. The payment processor can not cause irregularities in their business volume, because the companies such as western union and moneygram will start to investigate the movements. Since they know that people use it for gambling payments, the first things that they check are the movements compared to sporting events. All it takes is one person involved in the payment process to screw up a good thing and all the books that are clients of that processor are left with one less way to do business.
IN the case of the ACH, well, while most banks in Costa Rica or Panama are gambling friendly, but as soon as you throw US banks into the mix, they shy away and you need to be very careful. So maybe you have someone in the bank that handles this for you. Maybe that person backed out, was sick that day, or got fired. NO more ACH out of that bank. With Western Union (or MoneyGram), you have to have someone in a Western Union agency that is willing to make transactions for you. These transactions have to be carefully monitored by the processor to make sure that certain limits are maintained, so that WU doesnt get wind of what is going on. Now, I am in no way defending the books on the way that they handle their payouts, on the way their customer service reps are told to lie through their teeth (I was one of them!), or really anything that they do to f*ck with the players. I am simply giving information about how this works so you can understand. I know its not going to make your money come faster, but at least you know the reason behind the reason you are pissed off. |

I used to work for another book, and the manager that we had there was the guy who originally set up the rollover and bonuses at BETUS. He tried that half action on baseball shit at our book and we lost a bunch of rec players, guys that like the bonuses the way they were and hardly ever took anything out. He got his ass laughed at a bunch and that was thrown out within a few weeks. He raised all the rollovers on bonuses and made it difficult, so what I used to do was back calculate the bonuses and tell people how much they could win so they could take out their cash faster. I don't work there anymore surprise surprise... |

I might be too late to opine, as I have just now been able to log in today, but I think the one idea has merit, of banking your original $1000, and start 2 seperate chases with 1k each, but both using the grand martingale. unless you plan to win every play, the history of your betting thus far has proven that the grand martingale is more profitable, with the higher profit coming in the longer chases. Surely there are times when you have more than 1 play that you want to make. If not, then I would do what you have decided, and bank 2k and start over.
