I like Washington +9...they can go ball control or pass happy...dynamic offense...

W. Mich will cover the spread...anyone who watched BSU last week knows that against tough MAC competition their high-flying attack is grounded. This reminds me of the NC State game last week...W. Mich is 9-2...-10? Big play on W Mich.
GL to all... |

When folks are nervous, it is comforting to be in your own arena.
Rodgers is just a great weapon to have. Passers can have an off night, but runners that are instinctive will always show up. If Oregon stacks the box to stop the run, the Beavers are good enough to take advantage of the opening.
Somebody respond and let me know what I am missing. I see maybe a 2-3X bet on the Beavers based on my current thinking. (Not a lock, but a solid play) I actually like Oregon if Rodgers doesn't play (he's doubtful)..he does so much for OSU. I don't think this is that solid a game to go heavy on... |

UNC may win and cover but at least provide some reason for picking them. Did you watch them against UMD? NCSt was horrendous last year and WON by 4 at home...they are 15 minutes away from their campus so the road game bit is overrated. NCSt is 7-2 ATS although they are 4-6!! Vegas continually disrespects them and is counting on the home-field advantage for favoring UNC by 11. Cam Sexton is low on confidence and may be replaced at some point during the game if he struggles against NCSt. On the other hand, NCSt has been playing well over the last month with a 3-pt loss to UMD on the road and an impressive win against Wake. I have been very impressed with their QB Wilson (#1 in the ACC in passer rating) and when things break down he can throw on the run or scramble to pick up key first downs. This is an ACC game as well as an in-state rivalry and this year most games have been decided by 7 points or less. Huge play on NCSt, I think this is a goldmine game...7-1 in their last 8 ATS...Lets make some $$$.. |

Walter is hurt..hopefully CAR will score one more time and shutout the Raiders the rest of the way. As I mentioned before, first half was the play for Carolina....but I hoe it works out for those who laid heavy on Carolina -9 or -10

I wish you nothing but success in the future. This board is here for people to give their opinions about the game before, during and after and to share past experiences so we can all do well...so if you wanna censor me for posting after the first half and giving my opinion on a second game (CAR) then ignore the post. |

Take Carolina boys...for a huge first half play. Forget about the trap game psyche, vegas and all the mental tricks we play on ourselves before putting our $$ up. Here are the facts:
-Walter is most likely starting
-McFadden is out
-Jonathan Stewart is playing to back up Williams
-Oak just cut a starting CB and its not like they have a lot of talent behind him in the secondary.
Carolina is coming off a bye which mitigates the long trip.
Carolina will eat up the clock and I just don't see how Oak will score...
-By all estimations the Panthers are the 3rd or 4th best team in a strong NFC against the 2nd worst team in the league (DET).
Prediction: 13-3 first half conservatively...Car -6.5 first half. Lets make some money.

First of all, I understand the skepticism about the Jets because I lost a ton on them @Oak. But they were a better team than Oak and they are MUCH better than the Rams minus S. Jackson. Based on everthing I read on this post, people are outsmarting themselves. We all know the Jets are a better team and anyone who watched them in the second half against Buff could see they were on the verge. 40-0....huge 1st half play on the J-E-T-S, JETS JETS JETS..Now Carolina @Oak...please make this a great day for me...Lets go Panthers -6.5 first half!

Mainly because of Central Florida's inept offense, I will be taking Tulsa and the Under. Line has been moving down from 71 to 68 for a reason.... Final score 56-7 |

What about injuries? Coles, Jenkins and Justin Miller are questionable...are they playing? The Jets run D is totally different with Jenkins clogging up the middle in their 3-4.
I agree that Jets -3 seems too good to be true but I am still laying a huge number on them. Sometimes Vegas fools people into thinking that there is something magical going on. With the exception of CB and maybe RB the Jets have more talent at every position. The game is played between the lines not between the strip joints..lol. Also is anyone thinking Jets first half -1.5 or -2? I think that's a solid play. I might do Jets first half and for the whole game. |
