@kcblitzkrieg This is a defensive game. Points will be at a premium.. |

@RayRayK Then what do you call Hurts? Granted he's having a spectacular year, but recall what happened at halftime not so long ago in the National Championship game with Bama....Philly on the other hand has been good for how long? And you crown them as the best team in the NFL? We shall see.... |

Seattle may have that marquee player in Graham just like they had with Harvin. Rams have a new QB so I would assume it will take time to adjust. Seattle is a tough start to make that adjustment... Hawks -3.5.

If both Defenses shut down passing game, Pats in trouble. Wilson will run around or just take off. Huge advantage Seattle.
Pats abandoned running game against Ravens and exploited Baltimore secondary. That won't happen in this game. Pats need to get creative especially on third down. Brady and game plan must be flawless and capitalize on turnovers unlike The Pack and maybe they win. Personally I don't think it matters, physical beating coming. Seahawks minus whatever..

This will be the 22 game of the season for the Hall of Famer when you factor in the pre-season and it was VERY obvious to me Father Time has caught up with the old man as he was throwing the ball with very little velocity last week in that Ravens game.
Chuck Pagano has his Colts peaking at the opportune time and they are playing extremely fast on the defensive ball. I am of the opinion New England will NOT be able to run the ball down the Colts throats in this matchup like they did during the regular season which means old man Brady and his lack of velocity is going to have to outduel the young gun aka Andrew Luck.
Tommy Terrific has had an outstanding run, but all good things must come to an end. The changing of the guard will be officially complete on Sunday when young Lord Luck completes the sweep of Manning and Brady in consecutive weeks and leads his squad to the Super Bowl. NOTE: Jim Irsay will be unbearable to be around at the conclusion of this game as I am quite sure he is going to tell everybody that will listen he has the greatest mind in football due to his decision to dump #18 and draft Luck.

all that being said, put me down for Indianapolis
plus the chalk (6.5) for a Dime AND Indianapolis ML (+215) for a Nickel
please. Thanks! How are things my friend?! Thought I'd give this site a look today, it's been a while.. And almost turned it off but saw your post, always entertaining. However, lol, I'm not seeing the Colts here, maybe it's because the Pats ran all over them last time in Indy and Brady put 35 on a much better defense last week in the Ravens.. Add Brady pretty good at home in playoffs, 25-2 or something like that and a revamped Pat secondary tells me another rout. That said, I will hedge my NE futures bet with yours out of respect. GL my friend and keep the posts coming!

I like your avatar, I don't live in Washington , and my fav team is the one I have money on which is Seattle. Even if I thought Denver was the better team, Manning is a little to shady for my hard earned dollars to take the leap. GL

Try this for $ize : Name the second toughest venue to play in the NFL ? That would be KC... In very few words, Denver has proven success in last 2 years where Seattle struggles : WINNING ON THE ROAD under Adverse conditions. That's indisputable. GL Beating the Chiefs at Arrowhead, weren't they 4-12 last year? Both teams 6-2 on the road. No home field advantage for either, but I would cite the weather and type of field are home cooking for Seattle. Those don't sound like adverse conditions for Seattle do they?

Not a Seattle homer sicsemper, but look at uncommon opponents in this tilt. Seattle had to play defending NFC champ SF 3 times this year, and could have won all three hadn't it been for a late breakaway run by Gore in SF. Then they dismantled the Saints as well as defeating the Panthers for a second consecutive year in their own back yard. Throw in the Cardinals this year who bolstered a top 5 defense minus a self induced fumble by Corbin setting up the game winner, and one could argue that Seattle should've swept em.
The Rams were no slouches either, just ask Indy... There's nine tough games right there and a 7-2 record against. If one analyzes Seattle's losses this year, one would see that they were literally seconds away from going 16-0. Throw in 2-0 in the playoffs and for laughs 4-0 in the preseason including a beat down of the Broncos 40-10 and it looks like 22-0 from one perspective eh?
Denver on the other hand was clearly the best AFC team, but their resume pales in comparison. The Pats were a mash unit all season, losing Talib in the first quarter of the AFC championship game which was the death blow as Manning exposed the backup repeatedly. If you look at Denver's tough opponents, SD, Indy and NE, Denver's record is 3-3. If you think KC is in the conversation ...5-3. Outside of that who did they play? If we are talking battle tested, my money is on the table, in fact I booked Seattle 10-1 last February before the Harvin deal. Since then, I've hedged my bet, but would still go with the battle tested Seahawks hands down. GL. |
