That's cause trends often regress toward 50/50 over time. I agree with your play.

NBA Record: 21 - 13 +12.28 units 1 unit plays: 18-12 +5.03 units 2 unit plays: 0-1 -2.2 units 3 unit plays: 3-0 +9.45 units Yesterday's plays went 3-2, but my biggest play, Portland ML +115 won, so it ended up being a good night. I can't believe Indiana lost to Toronto in that situation- it was pathetic. Today I have another 3 unit play and I might play a few others later, but I am still doing some research on them. Philadelphia 76ers -7 -110 risking 3.3 units to win 3 This seems like a very solid wager for today's card. Detroit is in a bad spot here after coming back from a long road trip and then having to go back out again to Philly. In addition, Philly is on the second of their five game home stand coming off a loss. I am also fading Detroit simply for their defense. In three out of the four wins for Philly, they were against the bottom half in the league in terms of defensive efficiency. They beat NO because they outplayed them on defense and NO didn't have Davis to control the paint. In addition, philly wins games when they can drive and get close two pointers. They did it against Toronto, Boston and NO and now they are facing a Detroit team that is LAST in the league at allowing an average of 49 points in the painted area. That is a drastic number that would allow any team to win in any situation. Now, if you look at Detroit's offense, they are not a perimeter scoring team, ranked fifth in 2pt rate at 79.7% and 26th in the league at 3pt rate at 20.3%. This means that Detroit relies heavily on getting easier baskets, but they are facing a Philadelphia defense ranked 7th in defensive efficiency and ranked number 1 in opponent's points in the paint. They essentially do a good job at sealing off the paint and that means Detroit is going to have to make a lot of jumpers and Detroit is towards the bottom in the league in all major shooting percentage categories. So, with the combination of a bad scheduling spot for Detroit, good scheduling spot for Philly and a horrible matchup for Detroit...I really like Philly -7 here.

Pheonix/Charlotte Over 191 -110 Both teams rank in the bottom five defensively in major defensive shooting categories. In addition, both teams are horrible at defending the paint, ranking in the bottom 5 of the league. When teams can score effectively in the paint, it opens up the rest of court for each team's outside shooters. In addition, both teams rank in the top ten in PACE or possession per game. Phoenix is on the last of their 3 game road trip and desperately looking for a road win. They will come out shooting. Against Phoenix's defense, I don't see why Charlotte won't be able to reach at least 90 points.

NBA Record: 8 - 3 +8.73 units 1 unit plays: 6-3 +2.73 units 3 unit plays: 2-0 +6 units Yesterday's plays: Denver Nuggets -10 -110 risking 3.3 to win 3 units Denver Nuggets 1st half -6 -110 risking 3.3 to win 3 units Teaser: Chicago Bulls -5/ OKC Thunder -4 +103 OKC Thunder 1st half -5 -110 ------------------------------------------------------------ Today's plays: Houston Rockets -2.5 -110 Denver just had their first game back home from a four game road trip just to go back out on the road on a back to back to face a hot Houston team. Good scheduling spot here. Dallas Mavericks -5.5 -110 Dallas 1st quarter -2 -110 Toronto is on their 4th game in 5 days. They went from Brooklyn back to Toronto then to Oklahoma City and now to Dallas. Dallas on the other hand is on their third game at home and their young players love playing there. They play hard, feisty and move the ball around very well. Dallas is in the top five of the league in first quarter point margin with a +8 1st quarter point margin at home. Another good scheduling spot here. Sacramento Kings -5.5 -110 I'm once again fading the Detroit Pistons here. Pistons do not defend the paint and they have been a poor rebounding team this year. On the opposite end, we have a Sacramento Kings team that lives in the paint. They are a good rebounding team with their big athletic forwards and they work to generate most of their points in the paint. This is also Detroits 3rd game in 4 days on the road.

NBA Record: 4 - 3 +.70 units all plays are 1 unit unless specified. Yesterday: 2- 2 -.20 units Philly -4 -110 Memphis -5 -110 Portland +5 -110 Utah/Memphis Under 198 -110 --------------------------------------------------------------- Today's plays: Denver Nuggets -10 -110 risking 3.3 to win 3 units Denver has been home for two days coming back from their road trip after a competitive road loss against the Miami Heat. This is Denver's home opener and they'll be motivated to rectify their win-less road trip with a big victory here. Detroit also ranks towards the bottom in team FT%, which is typically a quality of a bad road team. Detroit also ranks last in the league in defending against points in the paint, while Denver ranks second in generating points in the paint- it's their main offensive method. Denver Nuggets 1st half -6 -110 risking 3.3 to win 3 units Detroit ranks last in the league in first half disparity suggesting they are a slow starting away team. Combine that with this being Denver's home opener and the need for their first win. Teaser: Chicago Bulls -5/ OKC Thunder -4 +103 risking 1.1 to win 1 OKC Thunder 1st half -5 -110 risking 1.1 to win 1 |
