Wish we had this info before the match...
"It's tough because I love coming here," Fish said. "I want to play well here. I don't want to go home. I want to stick around for a long time. I've had success in Houston in the past, and I love how they take care of the players. You want to reward them for that. You want to give something back. This is a fun place. "But anyone could see I wasn't myself I've got to get my mind right again. I've got to get my confidence back." Two weeks to the day after an unspecified health scare – a few hours after his most recent match in Miami – made Fish seek emergency medical attention and forced him to pull out of last weekend's quarterfinal Davis Cup tie against France, Fish played lethargically, even carelessly. "In the beginning, I thought he was playing pretty well," Russellsaid. "It was neck-and-neck. But then his game definitely deteriorated big time. I just tried to ride the wave. He was playing very quick between points. I've played Mardy a bunch and that was a little unusual (for him). I was up a break and you usually are going to take a little more time between service points, but he was kind of rushing through. I wasn't going to stop him. I wanted to keep my momentum going." If you didn't know Fish's pre-Houston back story, or wasn't there to see firsthand how disconsolate he was afterwards, he played so out of sorts you might have believed he didn't care. Because he has declined to provide specifics about what he called "a health scare," media reports have blamed fatigue. Fish insists the issues are a lot more serious than that. "What happened scared me," Fish said, "And obviously I'm not over it yet." |

Same reasoning as last time Not great serving conditions out there, neutralizing Serena's huge serve somewhat. |

Was thinking he's be a slight favorite I'd imagine he will be Sitting on him at 20/1 to win his quarter He's had a pretty good summer, should have beat fish back in DC but choked the tiebreak away We'll see

Assuming he gets by here, any thoughts on what the line will be him vs. Simon?

It's condition driven windy and gusty neutralizes serena's serve somewhat seems that upsets are more likely when conditions can factor in personally, i think it helps serena because she's better mentally we'll see |
