This is the last game in this rivalry for at least a decade. There have certainly been better match-ups than this one, but regardless this is still a big game for both teams. IMO, both of these teams will be clawing tooth-and-nail to become bowl eligible in November. Neither has done anything overly impressive this young season, and I think we've seen exactly what each team is. They're both middle-of-the-road teams. Therefore, the home team plus the points is what I'm taking. MSU has been stout against the run, albeit vs 2 MAC teams. But one of the biggest weaknesses of MSU this season is its secondary, I'm not sure ND's young qb can exploit that. Lewerke is a stud, might turn into something big in the next couple years. I think he'll make enough plays to keep this very close, possibly pull it out for the home team. Either way, I see this one coming down to the wire.

My card:

Iowa +13.....love this one, I think they win SU (but I've been wrong before)
MSU +4
Purdue +10

Some might say I'm a sucker for home 'dogs, but I'm actually just a sucker

Im not around here much anymore, but I'll leave you with a monster for October 7.....Michigan -whatever

Minnesota +12.5.....I'm thinking the gophers put a real scare into the boilers. Minny has the muscle down low to hang with swanigan and mason is the proto typical pg to direct a huge dog into a raucous atmosphere and compete. A sneaky little new years game......

Don't really post anymore, too much riff raff, but I'm bored at work and I'm huge on this play.....

Temple +8.5 (and ml +350).....this game is huge for the owls, I think they win outright. They've got all the pieces in place, and they will be as motivated for this game as any other game this season. A win tonight sure adds to their tournament resume (and I think they could even make noise in the tournament).

Wisconsin +2...... Going big on the Badgers tonight. Wisky is in desperate need of some resume building, and beating the Hoosiers tonight would be a good start. IU is fraudulent. Of their 17 wins, only 2 have come against teams that will likely be in the tournament. Their 7-0 start in conference has been vs all bottom-feeders, they've been the beneficiaries of unbelievably soft scheduling in conference, so far. The Kohl Center has been a place where IU dreams go to die.....I believe 12 straight times. Wisky to the bank!

Good luck ya'll!

Don't know how can say that. I guess I'm in the minority. Did u guys see how close the previous michigan punts were to being blocked? Weve been seeing quite a few punts blocked in the nfl, bottom line....a punt is risky, for both teams. If u want to incorporate the element of risk into the final 10 seconds, then so be it. I'm content with the outcome.

Did u watch the game? Did u see how close the previous punts were to being blocked? Michigan had been getting favorable spots all game, hand the ball off to smith and let him run into his centers back and there's ur ballgame.

Well....we'll agree to disagree. I'm not snapping the ball back 12 yards when my last 2 punts were almost blocked. Id go for it. When u of m came out in punt formation I told my u of m friends.....well, he's gicing us a chance. Like I said, the previous 2 punts were inches from being blocked. Plus, u should have confidence in ur team to get 2 yards. You'll never convince me he made the right call.

Sorry folks, but this loss is on him. I don't care how many millions he makes, he shoulders this loss. The 2 michigan punts before this one were almost blocked and all he needed to do was go for it on 4th and 2 from mid-field (ish). Either u get 2 yards and win the game or u force msu to throw a hail mary. Thank you Jim Harbaugh......for being you!!

Yeah doing well, hope u r too. I'm just a busy guy that has altered his priorities in life.....for the better. Still watch, bet, and take some action, I just have grad school and a baby that come before a sports gambling forum. But I can find a few spare minutes here and there.

Don't  have a season record or anything but I've been doing well. Haven't bet much, just been picking my spots.  Really liking this one:

Nebraska +8.5.....I'm probably guilty of overvaluing the Cornhuskers here, but I think they win SU so I'll be hitting the ML today as well.  Sure, Wisky has been running like a well-oiled machine lately and they are undoubtedly the class of the B1G.  But I think we're gonna get the performance of the season by the Huskers tonight.  They are certainly in need of a resume-building win if they wanna make the tourney.  They've got the pieces to be a very solid team, they've just been inconsistent.  When these two met in Madison it was actually a very close game through the first 25 minutes and then the home team got some favorable calls and hit some 3's and opened it up.  Obviously in order to keep this game close, we'll need a monster night from Petteway.  He went for 27 in Madison, and he's scored a total of 60 in his last 2 home games.  If he's off, this bet loses....period.  But I'm betting he's gonna be on tonight.

Wisky has shown some weakness on the road, needing OT to beat Michigan and losing at Rutgers.  Other than at tOSU, this game tonight is the toughest road game on Wisky's schedule all season long.  I see a back-and-forth game all night with Petteway and Shields making some plays late allowing the Huskers to pull off the upset!!  Nebraska 63 Wisky 61

Good Luck ya'll

Yes, Msu more than likely wins this game....probably pretty easily

U may be able to sneak in the backdoor and cover the +10, but michigan is gonna get bullied today!!!!

1st half under 57.5..... U of M is gonna have a very difficult time scoring today at the Breslin. Michigan got lights-out performances by trey Burke and nik stauskas the last few times they visited Msu, there is no one on the wolverines current roster that is capable of lighting up Msu. It's just an offensively-challenged team belien has this year. On the flip side, Msu hasn't been real efficient vs zone defenses this season. I expect a very slow start today and an ugly 1st half.

Hey bud, hope all is well

No vibe either way on MSU, I'm too busy w/ grad school, work and new baby to follow/cap sports like I used to so I've actually flipped sides and become the house for some local chumps around here.  I just couldn't resist this play though, if you lived around here you'd get it, this is absolute Utopia in AA, and this UofM team w=should come out jacked up!!  I'm thinking they hold a 20-point lead at some point in the game, and win by DD's.

Happy Holidays

Don't hang out here very much anymore, but I'm off work/grad school for the week and decided to post this

Michigan -2....Opportunities like this only pop up a few times a season.  This is the motivational/situational bettors dream!!  Harbaugh will be at Crisler today and all that crap that comes with it.  Bottom line, this Michigan athletic program has been a dumpster fire on the football field and he's here to rescue them.  The basketball team has been the butt of a lot of jokes as well, losing to high school teams....at home!!  Ticket prices to today's game at Crisler have skyrocketed just because of Harbaugh's presence, that's how bad U of M has been slurping on Harbaugh.  Today is a huge day for Michigan athletics with the official announcement of Harbaugh and the vibe around Ann Arbor is crazy, that should carry the b-ball team to victory.  All will be well in AA after today....and then the basketball team will lose to Purdue Saturday!!

College Basketball / Msu/duke / View Post
Duke -6.5....... This line is absurd! I wasn't gonna bet this, expecting the number to be 10/11, and even then I would've leaned duke. Izzo may mold this Msu team into something nice by march, but they're nothing special right now. Plus, they're dinged up at sg and lacking depth on the front line, not a good time to be playing duke. Valentine tries to do too much, Dawson still plays like a freshman half the game, and the bigs aren't defending/rebounding like they need to in order to make up for their offensive ineptitude. Trice looks great, but the rest of sparty has a ways to go before they catch up to him. Duke by DD's

Greetings ya'll !!!!  I won't be around much this year, grad school and a pregnant wife have me pretty occupied.  But I've got a full day of freedom today and it's the start of Spartan Football, 2014.  All that stands between me and the first tailgate of the season is 36 holes of golf, 2 bloody marys, some tacos, and a few beers.....I think I can handle that!!!

Played On:

Jax State +32.....Not much to say here, just expecting a sleep-walking version of MSU tonight.  "Pound Green Pound."  They'll just use their advantages at the LOS and try and get out of this game injury-free while displaying a very vanilla approach for Oregon to see.  There ARE enough playmakers on this MSU offense to make the necessary big plays to cover a big number, I just think the approach/gameplan will be ultra-conservative.  38-13, Sparty!!!

Good luck ya'll
