Could you tell me where you get the public betting percentages from, especially the totals? I use Sports Insights for sides, but I can't get public percentages on totals. Thanks

Yea sorry guys, but I guess it was bound to happen sometime-unfortunately it was the first year I played it! Oh well that's betting...Thanks to everyone on this forum for their input and advice.

Well if it makes anyone feel safer, 5 Dimes offers alternate run lines of up to + or - 6.5 for tonight's game if you want some extra insurance and if you want to bet your entire bankroll, but I don't think I would advise it. Oh god...

Luckydan, are you sure this is the right way to look at it? It was said that you should look at ONLY the first 6 games of the season and you simply pass up the NL or pushes. If this was the case, Iowa State would have already been a system loss and all the others except Texas would have been finished. I think it would make a lot more sense if I was doing this research to simply look at 3 U's followed by 3 O's for every team, but I'm not really sure. I wish Neilsy would come back to explain it better.

So just to make sure before I play this next year, we are looking for overs in the first 3 weeks only, disregarding any NL or pushes, then we automatically bet unders on the remaining teams in the next 3 weeks? For example, if a team went U NL U, the next game we would bet the under? I screwed up two weeks ago with this.

Also, when a lot of money goes on one side of a bet, a bookie will generally want to stay at the number until he needs to balance the action by slowly adding more vigorish like in the example here before he actually changes the number. |

The juice turns to + when you go to 3.5 or any higher spread number because it obviously gives you less of an advantage to win the bet, especially if this example is for a football game where the number 3 is the most important key number as this is the number that most NFL football games will end up on. If you bet a favorite at -2.5 as opposed to -3.5, you have a pretty big advantage. Juice will also probably change for any sport such as basketball, but this example would be probably the most extreme case of juice change (-3 to -4). Hope that helps. |

Of course now we have 2 game 3's to go to after the Rays and Twins losses, so hold your breath...

I heard somewhere that this goes all the way back to like 1919 or so, but I definitely could be wrong.

Does anyone know where to find betting charts with percentages for Totals?
in Systems & Strategies I can easily find charts for sides for almost every sport (from Sports Insights) , but never totals. Thanks |

Does anyone know which teams, if any, are left? I really goofed last week because I was real confused at the ramifications. Thanks |

He said "Treat the game as if it never happened" So I would assume the teams like Michigan should have already completed.

I'm also confused now. I thought a no line game would just be skipped over, so a team like Michigan who went U U then NL-one would still bet O the next game last week and the chase would be over. Instead, what you are suggesting Prime is that we basically treat the NL games as a loss? I could be understood though... |

Yea I've been following, but I'm kinda gettin a little nervous. We still have 15 teams remaining in week 5. Taking a look at the last 4 years, it seems there were usually only 4 or so that would remain. Keepin the fingers crossed... |

Yea, do you know what the procedure is for teams that played a division 1 school with no line or had a push is? Looks like there are only a few teams left that actually had 3 unders in the 3 games with lines. Anyway...very interesting system-plan to follow it! |
