You know Nuggets are sitting Chandler, Jokic, Harris, and Millsap this game?

Scalabrine, From my observation of TD21 threads, GOY references future scheduled "Game of Year" lines from sportsbooks that are available now for marquee matchups even though the game is weeks or even months away. I don't think TD21 is referencing it as his "Game of Year".

The biggest thing I wonder is if anyone thinks there is a possibility that Mystics rest Delle Donne today with nothing on the line?

Initial thoughts on today's games: Liberty and Sun have potential top Eastern Conference record and 3rd seed on the line, question is do they really care as they both have secured home playoff game for round 1. Liberty play earlier, Wings have nothing to play for, having secured berth. The two teams that do have something to play for are Lynx and Sparks who play at the same time and are playing for home court advantage through playoffs as 1st and 2nd seed on the line with Sparks having the tiebreaker. Sun playing for 3rd seed if they care, Mystics not really playing for anything since they secured playoff berth with last win over Storm. It appears to me that Dream/Mercury and Storm/Sky are meaningless games.

The nearest William Hill sports book or kiosk is next door to the Venetian at Casino Royals. CG Technology sports book at Venetian likely won't have Montreal lines until the semis or finals.

Given your analysis of the Conor-Diaz fight, could I ask for your perspective in the Mayweather-Conor fight from this angle?
Essentially, given Conor's size and chin, I have a hard time seeing Floyd win by anything other than decision. Guy just doesn't knock anybody out anymore, doesn't have the urgency to, and knows he can joint outpoint Conor from a technical standpoint to an easy decision. Priced at +180. There is also the outside chance that Conor lands the miracle punch at +500. I would say that for Conor to win he has to knock Floyd out since there is no way that he outpoints Floyd from a technical standpoint, but Conor to win and Conor by KO, TKO are both priced +500. Honestly, I was really surprised by the plus odds on Mayweather by decision, but what would be your assessment of Conor's cardio going into the fight? Do you think he is going to gas and there will be a stoppage. Seems pretty easy to lay both Floyd by decision and Conor to win, and come out ahead either way. Thank you for your insight. |

I think the only one you have to worry about is Wolves, who need a stretch 4.

Love Fox over 4.5. Only way it loses is if Lakers take Fox, which is unlikely, no way Suns take him so he will go to Sac at 5.

How does Stewart being out affect your thinking?

Y'all know Millsap has already been declared out right? It's why number is so high. They are something like 1-9 without him.

Dragic to play, Whiteside to warm up with intention to play. Whiteside knee MRI clear.

Lot of positives about the situational spot for the Celtics. Rested since Friday, Heat on the 2nd night of a back to back. Celtics coming off a loss to Spurs.
Coach Stevens stated that he is not going to hold Crowder to any minutes restrictions. The way I see it, even if Dragic and Whiteside were playing, I would still like the Celtics to win this game. And if one sits, it will probably go to 6 by gametime, if both, more like 8. Tempted to just get on now.

Tyler Johnson, Winslow, and Waiters ruled out. Whiteside and Dragic are questionable. Anybody been watching the Heat? Any thoughts on whether Whiteside and/or Dragic sit? Heard Whiteside is getting an MRI of his knee today, so definitely must be something there...and Dragic tried to come back from his elbow injury too soon last time...
Horford out, but Celtics for the game looking good... |

As a general rule, take the points with the Wiz on the road, never lay the points with the Wiz at home. Team with a weird home away dynamic, lose to the Lakers as 10 point favorites at home, win as 9.5 point dogs on the road in Miami. Several other examples going back to last year, I swear they just play better on the road.

donbest and vegasinsider both list him questionable for rest. I don't know why there is even a ? if he is going to play. Furthermore, I don't think the line would shift from Rockets +4.5 to -1.5 if there wasn't any meat to the ?. I am hoping the shift from -1.5 to +1.5 is just public buy back. But what a spot with 3rd game for Cavs in 4 days, on a back to back, with game against Warriors on deck. Rockets have been playing better, I think 5 wins in a row, won last 10 of 12 at home and have ownage against Cavs at home winning last however many straight, although you have to discount that some because a portion of it was without Lebron. Place should be packed and rocking on a Friday night. Now, I have seen this Rockets team lose to the Mavs at home when the Mavs rested all their starters,so you never know, but I do think they are playing better, Beverly playing tonight. If you tell me Lebron is out, I have to LOVE the Rockets tonight in this spot. But they are the Rockets lol, most volatile team in outcomes in the NBA

Anybody think they might rest Irving too? Have seen this Rockets team still lose at home when Mavs rested all their starters, but Rockets finally seem to be putting it together...

What do you know about Fordham? Looking at line, it's almost an automatic max play just based on line, Fordham -5 vs St Johns??? I know St Johns is bad, but... And now Fordham -7...

How do you beat the Syracuse zone? You shoot 3's and don't turn the ball over. That is fundamentally what Wisconsin basketball is and gives them the chance to win this game. I think it just comes down to who's hotter from 3. And isn't this just the spot where Syracuse always lets you down every year?
