Great as always MEGALOCKS Inc. really have enjoyed this thread the past 4 years, I need to post more. Been laughing for 13 months straight on that Veal Licata i-s-h!
Love the UW over, also played Marshall 1H -12.5...Marshall needs to have an offensive explosion eventually right? Is Chuck Buckley still on staff or was he made redundant? |

My two cents, the only 2 plays I don't like are Rutgers & NW. While it is possible that Nova will be improved with the new OC I still think he's just not a very good QB and if they get down by 10 or more early then Rutgers is in big trouble.
I'm not really understanding all the love for NW I've been seeing all over the boards the past few weeks (along with Miss St. & Ole Miss)...I think Goff will be quite a bit better this year. I didn't run the numbers but what is NW as a DD home fav the past few seasons? Maybe that would be a good measurement. Love LSU |

LH, I certainly agree that he will be back under center sometime in the 1st qtr. What I am more curious about is how the injury to Kozan will affect the offense...waiting to hear what warcameagle has to say about that.
When this game gets put back up what do you all think the number will be? BTW I'm a long time reader of covers (much longer than my join date) and appreciate all the solid peeps on this forum: LH, BA, thorpe, MEGA, DU4L, 85, Wahoo (before), SatNite, JDF, even jdn$ before. |

I like Cal Poly over NMS maybe even moneyline for the SU win. New Mexico State dead last L/Y in rushing def. and CP first in FCS rushing.

I feel that a 1st Half play on Nebraska here would be a solid play, probably will be -14.5 or -15, I would think at least 17-0 at half. FAU will struggle to move the ball against a fired up D in home opener.
My take on Nebraska's O is that they are finally free of Martinez and therefore will be improved. Martinez was at times a great player but his inconsistency and injuries handcuffed the game planning and preparation of the coaching staff. Armstrong is solid. |

Payout does look good and I admire you for "going for the big one." ... I've done it before myself on occasion, but knowing full well that my 0.1 or 0.2 unit wager to win big is primarily for entertainment and not a way to make a steady profit. So, depends on what you expect and how big your bankroll is when you say "but worth the $ on the 1st week." Having said that and as somewhat of a numbers guy I've tracked all of my bets the last couple years by amount and type, etc. In 2012, I went 1 for 8 on parlays and came out ahead by a whopping +0.4 units. Basically won 1 early, had my fun and stopped when it ran out. In 2013, I went 0 for "the big one" and lost a total of 2.3 units. What's encouraging though (if I can really say that), is if I had made every -110 bet from the parlays as a straight bet, I'd have won 57% of the time. So, my point is the plays you selected for this parlay are the plays you are most confident in, correct? I'd throw some $ on some of the same games as straight bets since you feel good about them. Best of luck to you. Hope I didn't come across as a downer. Curious on your and others overall success with parlays. TD Solid advice about the straight bets. My take on the UCLA-UVA game (as a six season UCLA season ticket holder...but they're not my favorite team, just my favorite in LA): First off, the BYU-UVA game was an anomaly because there was like a 4 hour rain/lightning delay that I believe clearly favored the team at home that day. While I agree with other posters that 26 is a lot of pts, one thing that I haven't seen mentioned in various threads about this game is the epic coaching mismatch, Mora vs. London. If UCLA gets up early, they won't let off the gas in my opinion. |

Been out at SA a few of the mornings over the past week just to enjoy the world class horses and check out the scene. My main observation is that I do not think the main track is going to be as speed-biased as in the past. Anyway, very excited to leave for the track in about 10 hours!!
Yes, Mandella decided to run Beholder in the Juvy Fillies, and I don't think she is gonna get the distance...hard to go against Johnny V and Pletcher in that one. Some picks Juvy Sprint - ex 5-4 w/ 2-4-5 Marathon - 2 win, exbx 1-2-4 Juvy Fillies Turf - exbx 3-5, 11 show Filly Turf - 4-9-10 exbx, ex 9 w/2-4-9-12 Distaff - 6 win, ex 6 w/ 2-4 |
