Joel Embiid Ben Simmons What 2 other pieces would best fit this trio ? A wily veteran ? Would Philly be crazy throwing max money at Russell ? |

sounds like you have this gambling caper all figured S4722
3 months of winning , 22 years old . what could go wrong ? i'm always curious when posters on these forums say "i do this for a living" Sounds impressive , but you can't believe everything you read on anonymous internet forums right ? a few years back in Australia , i had a 2 year run on horse racing that had me convinced i had the bankroll to go full time professional gambler . i even rang up the tax office to ask about tax laws in relation to gambling as a professional , and gambling as a hobby . They said i should apply for what's known as a "private ruling" where they take into account your own personal unique situation , and assess whether or not you get treated as a gambling professional , or as a hobby gambler , irrespective of the amounts you are winning. Here in Australia , any transaction where a gambler wins > $10,000 is automatically flagged and the govt is alerted , so they know who's winning big, and how you are getting your money Their answers made me keep my day job. I got to keep more winnings by NOT being a professional gambler. A full time worker , and hobby gambler doesn't have to pay tax on gambling winnings in Australia sure enough , the wheel of chance wiped out most of my bankroll ( the horses gave , and the horses took away ) , but it was profit i had made during my hot 2 year run , and i was using good bankroll management , otherwise i would have gone bust . But i still have a very workable stack. Horses are my main form of gambling ( wife) NBA / MLB and other sports are more of a miscellaneous strategy. (mistress) i still have a bankroll , i still work , and i still gamble, sure the numbers aren't as big as they were 2 years ago , but they're still enough to keep me excited. I'll always be gambling . ....but i always laugh when i read about "professional gamblers" on this site. I dont think you truly understand what "do this for a living" entails there are bills to pay , mortgage/rent , living and entertainment expenses, occasional medical bills , etc .... And we're supposed to believe a 22 year old with all of 3 months experience has it all figured out ? true professionals wouldn't really care about posting on a forum true professionals don't start randomly betting 14 units true professional don't bite when someone questions or criticizes them , they take it in their stride.... you may have made a decent amount of money in 3 months...but trust me....the books love gamblers like you , cause it takes is a small cold streak , and you'll be asking where the fuck your bankroll went. i understand the poker world too....money comes really quick in poker , and it can also evaporate just as quick. out of curiosity , what do know about US tax laws , in relation to "professional" gambling , and hobby gambling ? i'm curious. cause i think i can smell a bullshit story from a long way off , and yours has a definite brown bouquet. |

Maybe he should change his name from
Heath Bell to Death Knell that's usually what it means to Marlins backers when he comes in to close this year. "The Death Knell" has a catchy ring to it |

Lebron could have gone to Miami and won a championship and been loved ( well , not by everyone ) if he did things the classy way.
But he chose the smug approach, every step of the way. it was just the way he did , well , everything that pissed people off so much. He could have been honest with Dan Gilbert and his Cleveland team mates and told them privately that he was leaving once he was a free agent, that he felt like his dreams weren't going to come true in CLE , but no , he chose "the decision"...way to go LeBron ,real classy , rub CLE's face in it , on national TV . Like quitting a job and saying "fuck you !" He could have arrived in Miami without the fanfare and hoopla , and settled in and quietly gone about his pre-season business , BUT he ( & Wade / Bosh ) chose to party before the season and his infamous "not 2,3,4,5 ...." speech ....well done again. LeBron and Wade sniffling and ridiculing Dirk in last years finals .... again, well done.... after losing the finals last year...he said words to the effect of "the haters will go back to their miserable lives " etc if LeBron had just done things smaller , quieter , less arrogant , less callous , less public , he coulda been infinitely loved by most of the NBA public ... sure the guy might be a philanthropist , and a decent human off the court .... but he'll never wipe those stains off his resume , people will never forget people don't like it when you rub your happiness in their faces , and keep smearing it , again and again . If he just did things in a much more humble manner, without question he'd have been universally worshipped by now.... it's just unfortunate for him , he'll be remembered by so many as a baller whose talent was matched by his ego and his smugness all things said , he deserved a title ....however he went about it... but there will be a time in his life he'll look back and wish he coulda been more of a class act about it.. I personally want to see Derrick Rose's reaction to winning an NBA title , and the way he goes about it, but CHI need to get a little more creative with their recruitment and the pieces they bring in . |

hey Bob ,
you're a soft cock if anonymous threads on an NBA forum bother you. so what ,..every forum on every subject matter on the net is littered with idiotic posts , imbeciles , with a few genuine intelligent posters. just skip the fucking fixed threads if they bother you. as much as they annoy you,...your "NBA isn't fixed " annoys them just as much i've never started a thread saying anything about MIA getting help from the refs ( even though in my head i think they're getting a 70:30 ratio in their favour on what should be 50:50 calls , which in a 4 pt game and a 6 pt game are huge ). i could care less about fixed games.....i've lost bets and won bets on games that had shady calls , but i never start a thread about them. i'll continue betting NBA no matter what but i'll take a wild guess and say alot of people were crying fix on a lot of NBA games that Tim Donaghy officiated many years ago , and people like yourself woulda said "MORON" How did that pan out ? i mean , if i was a ref , i'd probably fix games too. Not every game , but you bet your ass if i had the power to influence a result , and i could bet on it , i'd be betting it ( and fixing that fucker the best i could ) in Australian horse racing , around 2 years ago , 2 jockeys ( Blake Shinn and Peter Robl were suspended for betting on horses, which is outlawed in AUST racing ) but there was 1 key difference... Robl rode horse A , and he bet on horse A every time ( which is fine in my eyes, i actually want my jockeys to have their hard earned $ on their own horse , cause you know damn sure they'll break their fucking back trying to win in a close finish ) Shinn rode horse B , and bet on horses C or D or E , but rarely horse B ( this is outrageous and criminal, how hard would he try in a tight finish ? ) are you telling me Shinn would ride his horse B with all his effort and try 100% to win ? Robl got a 12 month ban , Shinn got an 18 month ban... personally , i wouldn't have banned Robl , but i woulda kicked that little shit Shinn outta the sport for good..... 1 was greedy ,...the other was a greedy criminal likewise , NBA refs that have $ on a particular result will try and officiate a game in whatever way suits the outcome of their wager. that no-call on Lebron in game 2 was crucial in deciding the referee's bet , and he couldn't take a chance that KD would hit both ft's and send it to OT ( or hit 1 , miss the 2nd , and OKC get the rebound and hit a 2 or a 3 and hit the lead ) sure , i might be full of shit , and have an active imagination , but you have no imagination if you think that scenario is impossible , and can't happen in a sport that prides itself on integrity ( sorry , i couldn't keep a straight face typing that last line ) I'm sure the ref hated it looking so blatant , i'd be a bit more subtle myself. But if the ref had to choose between OKC having a winning chance , or his bet having a winning chance....which would he choose ? i'd say around 4 or 5 years from now when Dick Bavetta , Joey Crawford , Tony Brothers and maybe Bennett Salvatore get hauled in front of a commision and get questioned about a few suspect games , that had a bit of a stench about them , i.m sure you'll be man enough to come back and say " i was wrong , i am the moron" out of curiosity , do you think the heavyweight champion of fixed games , the legendary LAL SAC g6 of 2002's WCF's was a cleanly officiated game ? people that say "maybe the fix happens in the regular season , but not the finals" are not really being open enough. |

in last years playoffs , BOS got the series to 2-1 , in the game where Rondo dislocated his elbow , and he was a passenger the rest of that series , and BOS still only just lost G4 in OT .
that killed BOS's momentum and took the stuffing out of them MIA closed it out in G5 . this year , BOS were -2.5 in G3 , and won by 10 , then miraculously , the books made MIA -1.5 favs for G4 @ BOS. Yet the only difference was the series was now 2-1 to MIA , instead of 2-0. I knew in my heart BOS were in a much better spot this year , Rondo healthy ( Bosh injured ) , and i couldn't for the life of me understand how the books swung the line 4 pts and made MIA favs. i think BOS were also aware that they were in a better position in this years playoffs heading into G4 , than last year. And they responded , levelling it at 2-2 game 5 was the key ......BOS showed their true colours , and the belief they have. And now we head to game 6 , and again MIA is -1.5 fav @ BOS . is this shit groundhog day ? How is MIA still -1.5 ? do the books think MIA will finally be motivated for G6, and that BOS won't be ? was there not enough riding on G4 & G5 for MIA ? i don't usually post very often , cause when i do , it usually ends up resulting in egg on my face, and i somehow end up jinxing my play , but how anyone can rely on MIA in a high pressure game is totally beyond me. anyone who bets MIA clearly thinks 2 superstars can outplay , out hustle , out smart a veteran team with a championship pedigree . BOS may fall behind early ( almost a foregone conclusion ) but if they do trail early , and somehow end up hitting the lead in the 4Q , what chance does MIA have of constructing matchwinning plays down the stretch , knowing that failure will mean elimination... that's the kind of pressure this MIA team is not equipped to handle. |

just hedge a little with BOS ML ( aim to win your stake on your 3 team parlay ) and hope for a 1-5 pt BOS win , and hopefully hit your 5 pt middle
you have to think of the mentality of BOS Would they be happy with a 1-5 pt win ? Yes. at least you'll be able to watch the game without having fits , plus you have a chance to win more $ if both bets hit. |

how do you know i'm not a woman ? another classy internet tough guy real bright. i hope your bet takes it in the ass with a late NYY rally..... over and out. |

if you have a bet on BAL , what the fuck are you putting shit on Nova for ?
good for you if you have a winning bet , but criticising the opposing pitcher , when your team is up is a thought process i don't understand. this is hardly the worst pitching the NYY have dished up this year ? if you want to be consistent, you should start these threads EVERY time Hughes and Garcia pitch , cause they really suck . And i thought NYY would be better once AJBurnett left , but it seems like Hughes and Garcia are striving to be the next AJ |

What about Halladay ?
is he a bum or scumbag as well , having just given up a grand slam and a 6-0 lead ? Not to mention losing his last few starts ? my ass bleeds for your losing bet. hope you have better luck picking tomorrow's scumbag |

you have shit for brains.
who forced you to bet on NYY with Nova pitching ? I guess his shitty 3-0 2012 record sucked you in Nova & Sabathia are the only decent starters NYY have right now. Who would you rather put your money on ? Hughes ? Garcia ? today is the batting lineup's fault. |

You guys were free rolling & lucky to even get to OT , so it's kinda hard to be crying about a bad beat, when UTAH -7.5 never looked likely in the last 2-3 mins of regulation
Typical . You look at the last 2 mins of the OT and cry about a "tough loss" , when in fact it was a miracle to be in a winning position at all Sure , that last shot was harsh for UTAH backers , but come on . Just think how you'd have felt if you were on GSW +7.5 ? GSW +7.5 was the right play , but I had no vested interest in the ATS result , I was on < 201.0, so OT annoyed me a little Hate to see your reaction after a real bad beat

In the world of porn , "actresses" ( and I use the term very loosely ) get paid more for doing more.
The #1 on their list is DVDA ( double vag / double anal ) Safe to say the LAC are giving you the DVDA treatment How could you go back to the LAC ? I mean , you coulda at least waited a few days , and if you still had to get all your money back in 1 day , at least a few days off woulda let you pick a little clearer Hard lesson to learn. Bad enough to be fooled by the LAC once, but twice ? |

look back in 1 of your previous threads , and you'll see i asked a few simple
questions pertaining to tax laws at the end of one of those threads , if
gambling is your primary source of income.
gambling for a hobby and gambling for an income are 2 totally different things, and pretending to be one , while being the other makes you a liar....... up a " large chunk" this week , really ? creative accounting indeed i'd like to know how exactly you managed that . all smoke and mirrors...... some imaginary parlay i'll bet , that you forgot to post. Correct me if i am wrong , quite a few times in your past threads , you have said "i do this shit for a living" , which any reasonable person would think you make your income from gambling on pro sports , when you say you make a living at something , that implies you pay taxes on that source of income ie , a professional gambler by the way , i never used the word "tout" once . i know alot of others have accused you , but never from me if you can find 1 instance where i called you a tout , i will wire you every $ i have in my accounts , so get your facts straight. you may be a gambling degenerate ( like every other person on these forums ) , but you are no gambling professional.....you certainly don't act the way a professional would . at the first sign of criticism , you go postal... after a losing day , you whine and bitch and moan , after a winning day , you gloat using your logic ,every person on this forum is a pro sports capper , cause we all analyse lines , and make our own educated guesses on what we think will happen....using our own particular form of bankroll management NCAAB / NCAAF are not pro sports , you may have the odd hot streak , and the odd cold streak , you may have been gambling for 3 - 4 years , but please don't delude yourself and these fourms for a second that you make your living from sports betting. at best , you might make a little profit ,or lose a little each year , but doing it for a living is an entirely different beast i had a hunch you wouldn't be able to answer anything about tax laws. i can smell bullshit a mile away , and you reek |

if the line was only -3.5 / -4.0 , i'd be concerned,
but -7.0 means the books remember Rose's comments too |
