Leaders on the team like Joe Staley, Vernon Davis, and Al Gore have played alongside Smith for years prior to Harbaugh coaching this team. I can't imagine they are embracing Kaepernick with open arms after last weeks stinker. I think this QB controversy in the Bay area is a distraction, not only to the team, but to Kaepernick as well. He must be feeling the pressure to play perfect in order to prove to everyone he is the right man for the job. Not to mention, any mistake he makes will now be magnified, as everyone second guesses the decision and waits for Harbaugh to change his mind again and find a new "hot hand". If Harbaugh were smart, he would do a better job adapting his offense to fit Kaepernick just like the Shanahans did in Washington for RG III. The problem is that the 49ers didn't know Kaepernick was going to be the starter at the beginning of the year given Alex Smith almost took them to the Super Bowl last season. And it takes time to master a new system. So as explosive and talented as Kaepernick is, I am of the opinion that it will be tough for him to really thrive until next season, when he has had a full offseason to work on an offense that is geared to him. Yeah, he looked great against the Bears, but that was because Chicago was literally putting 9 guys in the box and begging him to throw it. Yeah, he looked OK against the Saints, but we all know that isn't much of an accomplishment these days. Plus the 49er defense won that game for them with 2 pick-6's. It wasn't until he played the Rams that it became really evident that he was going to be the new starter going forward. That role has a lot more pressure than just filling in for Alex till he passes the concussion test. I think inconsistent performances can be expected from this point going forward. Especially, as we step up in class and face a Miami defense that ranks 8th in the league against the run...Well, thats just my 2 cents As for the game, I think the Miami Dolphins match up pretty well here & getting 10 points is a bargain. As we all know, the 49ers pride themselves on running the football as they are 2nd in the league in yards rushing. I know the 49ers defense is as about as good as it gets. Thats why I am not expecting Miami to win this game. I just feel like Miami will be playing with a little confidence after giving the Patriots all they can handle last week, and that Miami won't have to score too many points to cover a 10-point spread. I think if they find a way to score 14-17 points, and don't give away any free points like they did last week, then the Fish cover in a snoozer of a game. Good Luck You the man SAMMY, but don't forget the first FIRE that this young gun was hurled into...that was a dogfight vs this RAM's team that beatin' Harbaugh's boys like older brother JohnH. use to beat JimH. And havin' gone through all those beatings John had the 'third eye' which could see something beyond TD's, points, Wins, etc. .... he saw all these individuals during a time of fear and duress respond immediately to Colin's extraordinary individual efforts to move the chains at a time when Coach Fish. had all 3 levels of his D whipping all 3 levels of niners off. This 'scrambling' ability created that initial mismatch that forced the other areas to atleast fight St. Louis to a standstill....that game was AWESOME! Even Niners defensive pride emerged down the stretch of that game, as they were forced/inspired to dig deep within themselves to up their efforts as they watched Colin slowly reverse this powerful intangible force of the NFL called 'momentum' on the offensive side. Up till that point Steven Jackson was like a heat seaking missle targeting saftety DGoldson and it seems that Goldson is more physical on RBs trying to get around him bc SJack went Pwillis and Bowman after Dgold was knocked the f out. Amendola (doubtful if you recall) got targeted like 20 times on all 5 yard routes which he got several 20+ gains out of. You can't deny this was the right choice, can you? This guys first year playing in college he was like 30/3 TD/int ratio or something crazy. Plus, am I the only freakin' NFL fan that recognized that Alex Smith was solely responsible for turning the NOs playoff game into a LOSS after they had secured it by running the bootleg in for a TD and giving NOs over a min. which is 100% Drew Breeze converted last year. That idiot had 20 yards to realize that VICTORY FORMATION secures the win, not the TD! He was the Kyle Williams if it wasn't for Vernon Davis' miracle 18 seconds. Plus, Colin hits these receivers in stride everytime...I recall only having seen crabtree reach all over the place to make catches in the past. Now him and Maningham get to display their juke talents. |

God damn your an idiot for this comment. They could have shut this BALANCED offense down 15 drives in a row if they want you fool. But Belichek decides how EVERYTHING GOES DOWN, including their post-season meeting which he mythodically set the Texans up to lose with every move his team made after the Talib 'injury'.... Belichek= Defense you freakin' retard idiot. They got no pro-bowlers on it because they;ll be playin Payton Mannign to represent the AFC. You probably think Denver D sucks too.....Both are comparable to the greatest D's of all time. Von Miller/ChampBailey/Wiford/Nikovich all fightin for Defensive player of the year... |

The one loss the Texans suffered all year was against the Green Bay Packers. They probably should have lost to the Lions as well. They also once let Chad Henne go absolutely nuts on them about a month ago. The Texans achilles heel is their pass defense (ranking 19th in the league). If JJ Swat isn't batting them down, the odds are that pass is getting completed. I think you can attribute this to Jonathan Joseph being out for such a big chunk of the year. He is listed as questionable, but I'm not sure if he will be a 100% either way. The Texans are an impressive 6-0 on the road this year. Its so tough to win on the road in this league, especially at New England. The Pats haven't lost at home since that fluke game against Arizona in week 2. I think Belicheck will have his defense ready to stop the Texans offense that relies primarily on the playaction. The playaction is really only effective when a team is running the ball well. I think the Pat's 9th ranked rush defense will come to play in a Monday night setting, and that Houston might find themselves in 3rd and long situations quite a bit on Monday night. My prediction is the Patriots hand the Texans their first road loss, and that Belicheck tries to send a message like he did to the Colts earlier this year. He definitely likes big statement wins over teams that he will possibly see again in the playoffs. Obviously, I don't think this will be a huge blowout. But it wouldn't shock me if the Pats won this by 13 or more points. Not too often you can get the Pats -3 at home without the public being all over them!! I will be more than happy to bet New England for my first time this season. Good luck! Finally, someone spreadin real insights.....while you jerkboys are tugawarin' with Brady's DingDong, my mans Ace actually spitin knowledge. Wha...did he say BELICHEK....wha did he say BELICHEK STATEMENTS...wha he said Belicheck statements MNF national stage statement. vs Colts this year--- agreed statement made. Back to back 50burgers--statement statement. vs Miami #1 Run Def.... statement with run lopsided play calling... Brady is just a robot, it's been proven already that even Matt Cassel the worst starting QB will look great....KC ownership will tell you it ain't QB talent it's Belicheck outcompeting his opposing counterpart. Oh and NE is ranked #1 in defense.....unless you a smuck that puts yards allowed above FF, 3rd/redzone performance, INTs. J.J. Watt can't impact games vs 5 man cohesive single O-line unit. That O-line looks like the oldschool sterio equalizer presets. Like 10 differents hands get put on every DL player on every play. If you ain't facin Belicheck 2 a year for the last decade, you ain't coverin a damn thing... and even then you lose by 40+ this year. This team was built to not miss a beat facing the injury bug as go 3-4 deep at all positions, but when you see Pat Chung out there Chungin fools you know their Def is healthiest as can be. peep game Aceman https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/drivestats2012 NE Def currently Major Adv of Houst. ...MNF Statement by Belichecky MostDef will be his NE def his new group that could even pee straight last year is now know on the door of Greatness.... While u chumps accept mainstream YDs allowed rankings criteria, I'll take these TO,FF,FR,INT, and REDZone criteria that put BELCHIK's unite on a whole nutha level. Does nobody see where this D is going but me an ACE: Think about it... Jerod Mayo=Bruski, even LB Ted Johnson was a Nikovich LB before he lined up with is huge shoulder pads one Superbowl day as Belchick answer to stopping Curt Warners ridiculous offensive machine called 'the greatest show on turf'. Even using conventional ranking criteria how good do you need to be to go from last play Def Ranks to top 10 over 5 weeks. Kubiak is the greatest West Coast Off Coach ever to emerge, but Belchick been stompin out the whole Walsh family tree for decades now. Oh -4 will cover by 10 or more when adjusting for CB/LB injuries on Houst, TalebTye Law an already shut down corner has been Belichean School of Hard Knox for almost a month now which continually makes those those safteties more power run stopper forces, and finally the key core strength of Texans RBs of zone blocking cut back running sounds like a jokey joke vs NE. yeah sure just chop blck on the backside for the cut back lane. Feeling sorry for these futile attempts to get VWilford on his behind, the refs let you cut block this fire hydrant bc he aint never going down and his legs just grind the back cutter into the NE turf. Image running over a dog.... Belichek MON NIGHT = extra night of preparing while opposing coaches lose more ground by sleeping another night.... AND bestoluck guy who pointed out Brady can't throw past 10 yards....is that even required in his job description. But those 'ducks' to Moss could one be called before the Offense crossed midfield and everytime the 'duck' forced Moss out that back endzone at full speed but never force him out. Belicheck milked the underneath 20+ yard completions for like 5 weeks off one of those ducks though. NE 65 Hous 27 and Hous Def actually plays good enough to win. |
