Stevopa--OU laying the points is the play. I hate OU with a passion and it pisses me off to admit they will win handily in this game. This is a rivalry game, TRADITIONALLY. Not lately. OU has owned Texas the last 3 years. This year will be no different. Mack has fostered a soft culture and I can almost guarantee the players do not believe they can win this game. I've watched every Texas game this season multiple times. We suck.
Our LBs don't have a clue how to play within the scheme and consistently over pursue or shoot the same gap as a DL. Our DEs can get push but often shoot too far upfield. Our DTs will stunt, LBs will overload a side and vacate a hole in the middle of the field. Our LBs and DBs have horrible eye control and don't trust each other. As a result, they don't play assignment football and we get gashed by read-options. Our DBs will take angles that minimize the need to tackle accurately; they shy from contact and dive at feet instead. Offensively, our QB has a noodle arm and can't throw for garbage. Our OL doesn't get much push. We play veteran OLs with bad feet in space yet try to throw screens; lo and behold, the guard is ten yards downfield face down. Mack refuses to run the ball even though we have a stable of backs that would make any program in the nation envious. Don't think Mack will start running the ball with any consistency or giving these guys the opportunity to help win the game. Mack will stick with Case until he repeatedly sacks himself or throws multiple interceptions. Then we'll bring in Jalen Overstreet (who was moved from QB to RB but hasn't gotten playing time since NMSU), and he will run the read-option until OU catches on. Expect lots of 3-and-outs. The team should start to meltdown mentally around the middle of the third quarter. OU still sucks.

Besides OU having superior coaching and intensity from Stoops on down to the waterboy, the player matchups here and unit styles are a nightmare for Texas. Ash gave Texas a puncher's chance to trade scores. Case's weak arm and inaccuracy beyond 15 yards will seal Texas' fate by halftime. This one will get downright ugly. I'm thinking something around 51-20. Pretty much my thoughts other than final score. I'm thinking Texas loses 41-17. I'm a huge Texas fan. Believe me--this team is ready to lay down. Mack is scared shitless of OU and Stoops. Any confidence or sense of revenge the players may have had has been replaced with actual pussies as a result Mack's coddling and insecurity. Mack's mailed it in for the season; rarely spends time with the team; has been in the media trying to save his job rather than coach (not that he's ever been much of an X's and O's guy; he's a pseudo-CEO more than anything); and has run a program absent accountability. Our team rarely shows up ready for a fight in the Cotton Bowl. This particular team lacks the balls and gumption to fight back. We may look decent on the first drive or few minutes of the first quarter but, trust me, this team will collapse at the first opportunity. They're entitled, soft, prima donnas that console each other for poor angles and bad tackling. We lack leaders. We lack mean spirit. We lack the hate the every Longhorn should have for those mouth-breathing, land-thieving, meth smoking, trailerpark dwelling neighbors to the north. Vegas has given you a gift. Don't over think this. Lay the points, enjoy your morning (if you're not a Longhorn), and cash your ticket in the early afternoon. It's 2:05 p.m. on Thursday and OU still sucks.

I'm a huge Texas fan too and I don't think we should be favored in this game. KState has owned us and this year our players are softer than ever. We look like we have no fight in us.
Our O-line sucks. Our defense is incompetent and can't tackle. We have demonstrated we can't stop the option or zone read. I'm with Echelon on this one--over looks like the play.

Clemson may win and cover - they have a 45% chance of doing so. But not with my money The 5% deviation from 50% is what's swaying you when a team that has looked solid is facing a young team that barely won against an FCS team last week? Not to mention, Boyd lit up NCST last year for 8 TDs. I'll put my money on Clemson.

The public is all over WVU but the number hasn't moved. It's something else to consider.

I think Texas wins this one and covers the spread.
Maryland's D was able to keep Geno Smith from putting up ridiculous numbers. I guarantee Manny Diaz has watched the film and found issues he can exploit. Texas's LBs must show up, though. They're young, inexperienced, and are not yet playing at the cerebral level they need to in order to thrive in Manny's D. WVU exploited Baylor but Texas has better athletes in the secondary. Texas's secondary has been suspect because of poor tackling and bad angles. If they haven't fixed that by this weekend, then WVU has a great chance at leaving w/ a win. I'm confident Texas can put points up on WVU. It will be up to Texas's defense to keep WVU from putting point on the scoreboard.

I think KState is the play here. Klein is underrated. He's a dual-threat QB and he's passing much better this year than last. Plus, he hasn't turned the ball over yet.
ou is overrated. They haven't played a quality opponent. They have suffered from some attrition over the offseason and are apparently having some internal issues (e.g., SC coach straining relationship w/ players). Also, Stoops has played favorites with some of their stars and I heard it's affecting team chemistry. This isn't the ou of old. I sense a meltdown this season for those mouth-breathing land thieves--similar to Texas's in 2010--and it starts with this game against KState. They're playing a real ball team, with a dangerous QB, and a defense that can get in the backfield. Snyder is a genius. Yes, Stoops has his number but 15.5 is a lot of points. Even if ou gets out to a big lead, KState won't back down and could pull a backdoor cover. I'm taking the points here but I'm also considering a small play on the ML. GL!

Taking Texans -13 and hoping Miami doesn't pull a backdoor cover.
Tannehill's numbers in college were mediocre and now he's facing a top defense. Commentators often talk about his mechanics. Mechanics won't do any good if you're making bad decisions. I expect him to throw a few pics today and I expect the Texans to capitalize.
