I'll post and give some advice since I just finished up a streak that ended at 15 wins. First, have fun with your streak. That's the most important advice I can give. Second, don't spend more than 20 minutes tops looking over props. Once you get a decent streak going you will want to research more, but I wouldn't spend hours. Third, No such thing as a SURE win. I see people all the time waiting to make a certain pick on a certain day once they get a streak going. I've done that in the past and always seemed to lose a streak quicker. During the current streak I had I picked every single day but one. Chances are you will eventually lose your streak more often than you will have GREAT streaks. So why stress your self out by waiting? If I had waited on some picks that I made and won on, I never would have won the hoodie. My philosophy was just pick and go for it and if I won, I won. Fourth, always go with your first gut feeling 99% of the time. Chances are you will be right more times than you are wrong. Fifth, if you initially don't see a single pick you like and have a good streak going, close the page and come back tomorrow. Don't force a pick. This might contradict my third point a little, but during my 15 straight wins, I made them all covering 16 days. I skipped one day because on that day I didn't see a single pick I liked. Hey, you are allowed at least one day off. Sixth, don't be afraid to pick against your favorite teams. I picked against my favorite college basketball team on pick #13 and won a hoodie. Finally, good luck to all in the future, have fun and WIN, WIN, WIN! |

I want to thank those at Covers.com for the free contest that we all love dearly, Streak Survivor. Even though I fell two wins shy of winning some cash, I look forward to getting that Covers Hoodie in the mail, and starting a new streak soon. My advice to those making picks, don't pick scared. Picking scared is when you start to second guess yourself. It's a fun contest but don't let your picks consume you as your streak gets higher. Good luck to all in the future, and again thanks Covers.com for the free contest. |

They have been far and few on the board this year. If your not on at midnight or in the early AM, forgot about getting a good pick in. It's 10AM and only one MLB prop is up on the board. (Philles @ Mets) I can see other people had an opportunity to make picks of other teams. If the site is going to put games up, then all users should have a chance to make the same pick until the game starts. Not every one can be on this board 24/7 or even log in at midnight/early AM. Just saying I like the site, just calling B.S. on the games being taking down because too many people are picking one certain team. |

I watched it and found "The Bible" to be very interesting. No one will have the same exact interpretation of the Bible from page one, to the last pages of Revelation. People will always disagree with certain view points. I watched the 10 hour series, found it interesting, and to some degree educational.

"learn the stock market or have sex at brothels." So you are suggesting he trade one addiction in for two different addictions? You should really put more thought into your comments when some one is crying out for help. It doesn't matter if the guy has lost thousands or hundreds of dollars. They say you shouldn't gamble unless you do so with a small amount, and only with money you can actually afford to lose with out causing yourself financial troubles. My guess is that several of the people commenting here have gambling addictions and refuse to admit themselves that they also have a gambling addiction. I HAVE A GAMBLING ADDICTION. I don't gamble on line. Luckily I've managed to stay away from the online sites, but I play the Casino game CRAPS all the time and I can tell you I have lost thousands of dollars over the years. This addiction has affected my life in many ways. I quit my job in 2009, the best paying job I ever had, took out my retirement money and lost a good portion of it on both the Stock Market and in the Casino's. Since then I've had other jobs that I took, made some paychecks, quit, then proceeded to think I could once again make a living in the casino's. Sure at times I had my winning streaks, but in the end the results ended up the same. I would lose all my funds and go back to square one, which would be to look for another job so that I could make some more money to fill my gambling addiction. Has this affected my family? Absolutely! My wife doesn't trust me any more and I can't blame her one bit. She has tried her best to hide money from me, started her own banking account, yet I still find the funds. That's how bad a gambling addiction can be people. It's not something you can turn off or on at your own will. In fact, that goes for any addiction. It's not something that you can go to a shrink for a few weeks or to a group session once or twice and say you are cured. Once you have a gambling addiction it stays with you, just like being addicted to drinking, drugs, sex, etc.... It takes more than YOU to beat any addiction. No one can beat an addiction on his or her own. It takes a support group to help. That support group can be family, friends, strangers or a mix of all three. Those people need to know though that they have to be committed to you for years, because being there for a day or a week doesn't cut it for a person who has an addiction and is finally crying out for help. Likewise, when you are ready to admit that you have an addiction, then you must be ready to beat the addiction. AA members who have been clean for years will tell you that every now and then the desire to drink surfaces. They will tell you that they have to find the support to help them through the tough times. Just because you seek help, get it, and beat the addiction for a while doesn't mean that life stops. Life at times for what ever reason can be very depressing. Something small can trigger a depression in a person. Depression is ugly, and people with depression often seek out something to fill the void of the pain or sadness they feel like drinking, multiple sex partners, gambling, drugs, hurt themselves, etc... When that happens you can literally see a person change in front of you physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. Those people are actually crying out for help, but we often ignore the signs because the normal every day person doesn't want to get involved. Those people that step in and try to help, those that refuse to go away, are the ones that really care and love you. It might be a family member, a friend, or a co-worker. We might be mad as hell at them from trying to stop us from doing what we like to do, even if we see, but refuse to admit that what they are telling us is true. Learn to play the stock market? Like at gambling, not every one is successful. That is bad advice to give some one with a gambling addiction. I praise Kuddish for stepping forward and admitting that he has an addiction. It takes a BIG man to finally stand up and admit his faults, no matter what they are in life. We all have addictions that we need to beat, and I for one have many. Kuddish, you felt the need to voice yourself on a message board to those that you don't know in real life. GOOD FOR YOU! Now I challenge you to voice yourself to those that you love. Find those people that will listen to you, stand by your side in real life, and fight both your depression and your addiction to gambling. I hope you are still with us buddy and I sincerely mean that from the heart. Beating your addiction will not be easy, but if you fully commit yourself to beating your addictions, life in the coming weeks and years to come will get better. And Kuddish, thank you for stepping forward to admit that you have an addiction. It has given me the courage to write this reply and admit my own short comings with my own gambling addiction. As others have suggested, you do need to seek help from a licensed professional, and yes we can all sit in on and learn from a group of fellow addicts who are trying to recover from the same addiction. Every avenue of help is worth the time that we committee ourselves to beating any addiction. Again Kuddish, THANK YOU for coming forward. I wish you the best, and God's love. |

If anyone was going to win and defeat Undertaker at WrestleMania, it was going to be either Shawn Michaels or Triple H. In the last four WrestleMania's they both had two shots each at the dead man, and neither got the ultimate nod from Vince. That goes to show how RESPECTED the Undertaker is not just among the men in the locker room, but by those that make the ultimate decision on who wins and who loses. For some reason I was under the impression that last WrestleMania was Undertakers last match, but I guess not. Maybe one day his streak will end if he continues to wrestle, but I don't see him losing to Punk. The Urn, which are supposed to have Paul Bearer's ashes in them, are part of the story line here and the 'Taker wants them back. Nice to see that Vince is starting to push the tag teams again. At least it seems that way over the last year anyway. Only eight matches? Remember the day when they had 10 to 12 matches at WrestleMania and got them all in, in 2 1/2 hours or less? Regardless of what title belt you hold, if you are not appearing at WrestleMania you have to feel some what slighted by those in charge of making the card. (I think that every year actually) No women's match announced yet? To be honest, I'm glad. In general those match in my opinion are awful. By the way, what happened with Batista. Did he leave the WWE for another promotion, or did he leave to make movies? I think having Mark Henry, Ryback, Brock Lesner, and Batista in a feud for months would make a good story line. While I'm at it, no surprise the Vince McMahon "ECW" brand didn't survive. I thought it was a watered down version of the WWE and had no chance from the start after watching a couple of episodes when they first brought it back. In fact, that was actually McMahon's second attempt to revive ECW. With that said, will we ever see the McMahon's try and reboot the old WCW? I know it has been what, 10 years now at least since he bought the old WCW? I've always said that when McMahon treats both the ECW brand, and the WCW brand with the same amount of respect that he gives his WWE brand, then that is when those two brands would flourish under his thumb. To bad his ego keeps getting in the way. Would have been nice to of seen four hours of wrestling on Monday nights. Hour One could have been ECW. Hour Two could have been WCW. Then hour three and hour four could have been WWE. Heck he could have even broken new wrestlers in through ECW, promoted them to WCW after they hit a certain learning curve in the business and paid some initial dues. Then if the wrestler's credibility and his character was a draw, then he could have been promoted to the WWE. Plus wrestlers like Jericho who are aging but still trying to hang on, could be ("down sized") back into the WCW where they could breathe new life into a fading career when they have no chance of ever being a top title contender in the WWE again. Plus the McMahon's could have made up some legit pay scale, and the wrestlers would have made more money as they got promoted from one brand to the next. As for wrestlers like Jericho who have seen the peek of his career come and go, here is what I think the McMahon's could have done as far as the pay scale goes. Wrestlers like Jericho could of been paid more than the wrestler who was just promoted from the ECW brand, but less than what he was making when wrestling in the WWE brand. I think this idea would have served well in the case of some wrestlers like Wade Barrett and the 3MB group. I think those guys still have a lot to learn about wresting, talking to the camera, etc. In my opinion they are awful at times to watch. I'll even through in Cody Rhodes on that note because he can be awful to watch at times in my opinion, and he has been with the WWE now for at least five years. As for John Cena vs The Rock, Cena wins no doubt. Rock makes way to much money doing movies to actually come back to the WWE full time. After WrestleMania, I doubt we see much of the Rock. |
