This has never happened to a #1 rated team before, especially in a close finish. FSU should show up to prove they should have made the Top 4, and with their best QB sidelined by injury, they cannot justify a place at the table. Was a mismatch before the backup QB quit the team and entered the portal. Here is why you should play Dawgs in the 1st half: Kirby has most all of his studs but will not let them stay in deep into the game in a walkover against a badly wounded Seminole team. He will come out guns blazing, run up up a big margin, give the top stars a curtain call as they are pulled from the rout and then hand the game over to the backups who will still be better than the inexperienced FSU players. Smart showed you this last year in the Championship game against TCU. Georgia continued to score and pile it on with 2nd and 3rd teamers on the field. These guys will build the lead in the 2nd half because he will let them rip since they are playing for a spot on next year's team. Very competitive, talented, roster top to bottom. But they don't get their chance to shine unless the starters do their job in the 1st half. They will play aggressively and make the point that the Committee overlooked a potential champion by dropping them out of the playoff. It will be a slam dunk against a team of mercenaries who came to Tallahassee for the money, that is why so many have opted out, they didn't come because they love the school or program. The culture and pride is in place in Athens, Kirby has them focused and ready to make a point. |

@davemsh What does SB playing in the NFL have to with what he has accomplished? I realize you are a low/no ethical SoB lacking integrity, and balls, but why do you have to throw stupid into the game? Bennett may, or may not, throw his hat in the ring and try the NFL, but his dream was to play QB at UGA. He not only did that, he started, and won the national championship leading his team from behind in the 4th Qtr. He will have that legend, and memory when he has grandchildren old enough to understand. How many players ever come close to that? But he did it, and it the tape will prove it. I don't like the NFL, don't watch it, but it is a different game. Many CFB fans don't watch it, it isn't our idea of the top of the game, college is the highest pinnacle...especially in this example. Because the NFL doesn't have stories like this. Your irrelevant point isn't what most college players ever expect from the game, they know less than 2% ever make it to the NFL, and fewer still make a lifetime career from it. If Stetson never plays another down, he has been to the mountain top as an athlete. And scumbags like you can't tear that down. Check his QB rating, 2nd or 3rd nationally for the season. Yards Per Attempt, he was 2nd nationally (first in FBS). His pass completion % was around 70. Anyway you want to measure it, the kid is a winner. Hard for someone like you to understand, also hard for 5-10% of Georgia fans to admit because they are just immature kids who don't really understand life yet. Guess you aren't fully grown yet either. Take your loser self somewhere else, you backed the wrong guy/team again, take it like a man and stop attacking a young man living his life...and winning at it. |

Poor rationale on "homefield advantage", it is a reasonable drive for fans of both schools, they will be spending the night anyway. Also, the vast majority of fans do not live on either campus, lol. Both schools play in passionate environments, noise will not be a significant factor in the Superdome for a bowl game. More important, which team will be more motivated about playing/winning this game? Actually looks pretty close to me, Baylor excited at overcoming "the troubles" and seeing a coach come in and quickly get them back up and running. Ole Miss is playing for school history of winning 12 games for the first time. Athletically, the two teams look somewhat comparable, although the Rebels play in a much tougher conference and that makes their performance more impressive. On the other hand, Kiffin is pretty flaky with his game decisions and has cost his team with punt/no punt situations. I would give a coaching edge to Baylor which makes this pretty much a coin flip game. Not sure I will play it all but if I do, it would be a smallish bet on Baylor. Like the Utah bet better so may just increase that and leave the Sugar Bowl alone and just watch. Too much like gambling to me. GLTA, and Happy 2022. |

Utah is the more motivated team, expect the to play with more intensity. ohio has soft defense and lot of the offensive "flash" will be missing. 3 unit play on Utah for me (and that was before any additional players quit today.) This team lost two games even with all the big names. GLTA |

You may be the one dangling. Money is reported on Michigan but line won't move to 7. I had to buy it to 7 to get Georgia, think they want it to stay high and get more on Michigan. If it does drop, I will add more. I think it will be competitive for 1st half, or more, but UGA wins by double digits, something like 11-17 points at the end. 27-13 or in that range. |

UGA 3 units bought down to 7. See this game Georgia 24-32 and Michigan 10-17 Most likely something like 27-13 Dawgs. Should be a good, hard fought game that will be close early. GLTA. |

Agree, I am on them for 3 units. Still waiting for Michigan fans to bet this line down, hasn't moved at all in weeks. Never fell to 7 with my book much less below 7. Surprised, given all the late season love for their finish. |

I am on Georgia, bought the hook to -7. Can't believe all the Michigan talk buy must not be betting, line just won't move. Bad matchup for Michigan offense and UGA offense has more ways to succeed. I think it will be hard fought and very physical, as many have projected. Might be a good under play but careful to underestimate the Georgia offense. Averaged right at 40 points a game while running the clock out for over a quarter in almost every game, could have easily been close to 45 per game. Solid running game with 4 excellent backs and beat you deep via pass(highest per attempt average in Power 5, and 2nd in all of CFB.) Michigan will keep it close early but will wear down. Two bad ass teams, old school football. |

Can agree the Over looks like a good play in this one but feel TN looks the better play. I have both, just heavier on the Vols covering. The pace of the TN offense will wear Purdue defense down, just no way to duplicate it in practice (heard Georgia used 3 different units in practice to get continuous plays off in 17 seconds.) Purdue should have success passing the ball with TN best cover man quitting on his teammates, just don't think it will be as successful. TN by double digits. GLTA. |

Looks like Mac retired back in September, just a lousy job of coaching this season. Always a better recruiter than coach, he needs to step away before he burns all his goodwill. Have some talent coming in, get a better coach before they bolt next season. |

Sorry, looks like a conference homer blinded by emotion. Agree with the Wisky pick, but think TN is the best play of the day and will take Purdue to the woodshed. Anything can happen in bowls, but the pace of Heupel's offense is hard to prepare for. Vols roll, high scoring game. As for the other game, who knows and who cares? Both teams had their best player quit on them. How do you reconstruct that in a future game? I like Mel Tucker as a coach but doubt I even watch the game with the main event players deserting their teammates. No bet for me in this one. |

Doubling down on TN to make up for this disaster. Feel TN was always the best bet of the day. Hate the Vols but they will roll Purdue. |

@green33 Never understood the love for him either. Not sure Mac practiced this team since their disappointing season ended. I got sucked in, even the SC fans were calling for a UNC blowout, they must be shocked as well. |

TN -6 against Purdue 3 units Hard to prepare for the pace of the Vol offense and they are motivated; like Texas, they think they are back. Not sure bout that but they are a tough draw for anyone who doesn't face that scheme regularly. QB can fling it, and run. Heupal is an offensive student from the "wide-ass open" tree. They will wear Purdue down and pull away, double digit win, could easily be a blowout. GLTA |

Clemson comes to play and rolls an iffy ISU team. Defense will stuff the Iowa offense. |

Time to clean this sport up and get the NFL/non-students off the campus and into a pro-development league. Enough is enough, make this an amateur sport again with real, qualified students. The sport may not have 5 star prima divas, and lack athletes with 4.2 speed, but it will continue to be competitive. 1AA isn't the top group but some excellent games are played when you watch them. Establish 6-8 "regional" teams representing different geographies that play on Tuesday/Wednesday nights in an NFL sponsored minor league. Opt outs, free agent portal transfers, money thrown at the players with few rules, etc., are ruining the game for me, and I know others who have walked away and are cutting their donations for the product we are seeing. |

@Coin86 Do they have a shot? Absolutely they do, each of these 4 teams could beat each other on given days. But this is not a good matchup for Michigan, they have to run the ball to make the offense go. In fact, this is probably the best draw the Dawgs could have of the other 3 teams in the playoff. That isn't a knock on Michigan, they are solid team but they don't have the hosses to take advantage about the biggest weakness the Georgia defense has, its secondary. I just don't see them able to drive the ball consistently against this Georgia defense. Certainly breaking a decent run or two of 10-20 yards, maybe even a long one for a TD but this defense is not just good, it is way ahead of the other top guys...specifically against he run. And it wasn't just 2021, UGA has led the nation in run defense for both 2020, and 2021. Not a fluke at all, and they will be focused after the SECCG letdown against Bama. The front 7 is large, and athletic; they work together and wrap up on tackles. Without a good night in the turnover area, I say the Wolverines' scoring ceiling is about 17, probably closer to 10. And that isn't enough to win, Georgia's offense is not flashy but has enough talent both running and throwing to score 24+ on anyone, multiple ways to come at you. I think this is a double digit win for UGA, something like 24-31 to 10-17, and plan to bet it heavily. The reason I haven't is like all games this post season, you never know who is available until an hour or two before the game. There are enough crazy flu concerns to make you shy away from large bets until you know more. And the coaches act like they are guarding military war plans, just not worth making a big mistake. Georgia 27 Michigan 13 is my best guess, based on key players being healthy. |

@fts1409 "Choke" is a silly word in a team game. Your Dawgs may lose at some point, happens to most every team that has ever played any number of games. Every single break won't go your way, and there are other good teams, they will win games occasionally against better talent. So if Michigan loses this week, it won't be a choke, and if they win it won't be a choke for ohio. I think at home, and with a team highly motivated, Michigan should keep this close enough to cover tomorrow. Not a big bet for me but I am taking the 8 and hook, but I may also make a small money line play because this is a one score game to me. Line got exaggerated and carried away mostly because Mich St could not play pass defense against anyone, much good WRs. |
