Either way, it's a very short sighted decision by the Caps

New York would pay him 2 million with not a problem

But it can't be Leonsis acting like JJ - my impression is he would be generous.  Maybe their GM is the idiot?  Or was BT so pissed at not getting extended earlier that he decided to F off and take big $$$$ in New York?

Barry Trotz had a clause in his contract where if he won the Stanley Cup he could accept a two-year extension with a $300k bump in salary. Obviously since he was only making $1.5M, low by today's NHL coach's standards, a $1.8-million salary doesn't cut it. So Trotz stepped down.

I do not remove post unless they are homophobe or racist.  Even then usually I will just redact the offending words

You are very welcome.   It's a labor of love and I really love it.  Really enjoy spreading the beauty of pucks to everyone and especially new people.

That includes the desert and Southern cities.

It will be interesting to see how Vegas does next year when they won't sneak up on anyone. They have the backstop, but maybe if they add one or two more snipers that will make them the team to beat for sure.

Will be posting news and notes at the first of July again.

Well the Caps can do it tonight, but what does history say about it.  History was wrong the last 2 games.

History says the road team wins at a 42.1% clip for all rounds.  I won't even bother to tell you about just the Finals round. At -145 Vegas would have to win at a 59.1 rate to just break even.  So this is pretty much a coin flip.

Sit back and enjoy the game, personally I think we have a low scoring affair here.

Till game 6 of history or till next season.

Be careful laying the -1.5, Caps are a vet team and won't usually shoot for that EN unless they are across the red line.  You will see mainly soft clears and shots off the side boards.

Like that under wager, I see some very tight playing for the first half of the game.

The Cup will be in the house.  Caps can finally do it.

But I am not wagering on it.

Culls and Achilles just smoking

Not a large wager, just the regular 2% of bankroll kind.
